  1. This product works well on our small television. But it caused “static” on our large plasma screen. The static is bad enough that we simply could not take advantage of this great power with our plasma. We changed back to the original Wii power adapter that came with our Wii and that it does not cause static on our large plasma screen. Hope this helps.

  2. This product is great and does what it should do, even though the cable is shorter than the original power supply.

  3. Be aware that the adapter was sold here, only for 110V and not dual voltage type 100-245V determined as indicated. For those of you plan, the Wii adapter in your country that requires 220V, ready to use a voltage converter if you buy this product.

  4. I was a little skeptical to buy a non-Nintendo branded power adapter. But I thought it was just a power cord, what could go wrong?

I took it out of the box, put it in, then put it in my Wii. Things were fine for about 10 minutes then I heard a bang. Nothing seemed strange, I thought it was something else.

Off shortly after the Wii. I turned it back on and now I have heard, popping and zapping. It was coming from the power supply. I quickly unplugged and noticed an electrical burning smell. More than likely, a pile cap in it blew.

I do not know if it is permanent damage to the Wii, but I will not even have the chance for another device.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

  5. Absolutely crappy picture with my LCD TV. Created waves vertically scrolling static. I tried it on two different LCD TVs, the same result. Can not compare with Nintendo brand cable. Eforcity ships quickly and is excellent producers, but is this product worth the purchase if you are in the least concerned with the image quality! I went to Nintendo’s website and got a refurbished one for $ 15. Too bad that I wasted my money buying this one first!
