OPERATION: I used the CH Products Flight Sim Yoke with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 A Century of Flight. Flight Simulator immediately recognized the yoke at the start and had already assigned all the buttons. I changed my settings in the setup panel in FS. On my first flight I noticed that the car was really jumping around. It would not stay where I do! I really thought, the yoke was broken. Then a very distant memory began to emerge from my checkered past. I remembered that I still plugged in my old game port joystick. . Problem solved. These USB devices work with no game port devices.
The yoke was very similar to the Cessna’s flight, that I (C172R), albeit a little easier. The resistance was a bit surprising, very stiff, which is good for cross country flying. It took a little getting used to the button locations, especially the hat switch, but falls after a few hours it right into my hand. After a certain 8-position hat switch makes the landing pattern easier to fly, and with all the buttons on the yoke I do not need to touch on the keyboard. The trim wheel was very stiff, so I would not use it to trim the plane, only to adjust the joystick centering during calibration.
SELF-centered or not?
I was worried about the lack of center detent when I first read the literature. But this does not mean the joystick does not remove itself. He snaps back to center by about 1 / 4 inch to play from the middle, just like in a real aircraft.

The yoke is the only choice in this price range with the exception of the similar and slightly cheaper LE version that comes with a throttle lever instead of three. I agree that it is a little overpriced and plasticky but in the end you would pay ten times more for a more realistic product.
I just bought it anticipating the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and I can not wait until some civilian aircraft to fly with him in a few weeks. In the meantime, I’ve successfully flown tons it-111-bomber missions in IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles and the yoke has worked, there are tons of great and added realism. It is a bit muddy and too bad if it does not have a dead-on center. I had my straight flight path almost always right.
I was glad I did not touch on the software CD that came. I put it in, Windows XP immediately recognized, and I assigned functions to the buttons and controls in the game without problems. CH Products

Let me first say that this structure does not allow to simmer for the typical gamer or the flight, the bank n yank like to start. This setup is for fans of Flight Sim, and other more “serious” gives simulators, the stronger than the reality of action. That being said. . .
For the price this setup not be beaten. I treated myself to the CH Yoke Pro USB and USB Rudder Pedals about 8 months, and I’m still much they enjoy today. I probably paid about twentyfive more total for each (Fifty) was at that time, but even at that price it is a great test of the quality and entertainment that I received from them. I’ve always been a big fan of flight simulators and I must say that this plant in conjuntion with MS Flight Sim 2004, the best commercial flight sim it has ever been. The degree of realism increases enormously with the use of the yoke and pedals.
Even with the number of buttons and levers on the yoke, you almost do not need to use keyboad. Almost all you need is right at your fingertips, Throttle, Mixture, Prop Pitch, Gear Up / Down, Flaps Up / Down, 8-way Hat View, Rudder Trim, Elevator, plus 4 other misc buttons, more things do with. Note that all the buttons and levers can be adjusted somewhat like it. MS Flight Sim immediately recognizes this yoke and sets it with a default value of controls that has stopped just about everything you need.
Another nice feature is really the pedals have independent variable braking (something I did not know that real planes even have) that the left and right wheels independently of rest means. This is to be completed by each foot pedal pushed in a typical way a gas pedal or would break to work on a steering wheel setup. This is true not only for braking, but also as an aid in control. Of course, the pedals back and push for a rudder, all exactly works like a real airplane. This adds an even higher degree of realism that no joystick can reproduce. A review
seems biased, if I do not mention what I do not not like about the product, but I can honestly say that I’m perfectly happy with him, and I have nothing bad to say. The yoke and pedals are built solid and meant to last, and the performance is flawless. These pedals are a must for serious flight simmers have. . . especially if you own Microsoft Flight Simulator and would like to fly general aviation or the large commercial heavies. I also bought the CH Flight Yoke USB for $ 99. 74; the difference between these two elements make the simming experience can not be stressed enough. If you ever feel guilty after cope with the greased landing with the Boeing 747 or any other heavy aircraft (the feeling that it is unrealistic to light), then this is the next level. It takes much more concentration and coordination to meet the flight yoke and rudder master than just a joystick or keyboard. . . just keep your hands off, while the yoke go on the catwalk or roles, and you should keep in a position to put things in order! You can also opt for the purchase of the CH Throttle, which is next on my list, because with the throttle, as postitioned on the yoke a little inconvenient for some aircraft that require constant changes in throttle position.
Overall I am satisfied with the construction of the pedals, they weigh about 6 pounds and feel fairly solid and sturdy. The movement is pretty smooth with the application of both rudder and toe brakes. They work well. Not much more can we say. The same can be said about the construction of the yoke. . . very solid review. I would like to have personally seen a little less stress on the yoke. Unless you are trimmed close to overtrimmed status, you must learn a good train him to fly. I have not studied long enough to see how that compares between heavy versus light aircraft actually. But again, I believe that only the construction of the device and the strength of the terminal setup; withdrawal speaks on this unit with a fair amount of strength and not move the device from the desktop. The yoke may be some on the basis of where it is getting used to sit on your desk. . . In my case, there are about half a centimeter below the terminals attached to allow for my slide out keyboard tray, which was enough room in my case. I could see a potential problem in this area for others.
I’ve read about complaints with the clamp system on the yoke, but I would imagine the guy who is a better solution can to meet to keep the device stationary on your desktop. . . no problems with my desk and especially the terminals. What I read is that people can with lips or other Unperfect edges it to problems, since the area have the clamps, is small. Again, not one problem with my particular desk. Another con, is that I read about it and can agree with some of the cutting quality. I find myself with the elevator trim fit with frequent changes in speed than with my joystick. . . at the base, this can be regarded as a nuisance or a part of the larger challenge. I’ll have to give it some time to decide that one. It may be that it just easier overall with a joystick. I had had for more realism and a greater challenge than I seek bought the yoke and rudder.
Installation a breeze in Windows XP, simply plug in and they are ready to go. They come with a CD with all drivers that can not be installed, and the games (yes, I’ve heard … MSFS is my favorite past time, probably not fly anything else that I have not already anyway). Another good thing about this unit and MSFS is that it is recognized as a separate controller. I have the pedals in combination with the Flight Yoke and my Saitek X52 Flight Control System, if I have a joystick and a yoke for not flying fighters or even general aviation aircraft that are necessary sticks and not yokes.
Finally, both the yoke and rudder a very good investment for the hobby. Here you will find the hobby more and actually steering will enjoy clear, the autopilot controls. Hope this gives you some things to think about.

I like this product. As a licensed pilot, gives this book a more realistic flight experience civilian PC joystick can be anyone. And for the price, he can not beat. Sure, there are other bays costs much more, but if you have a PC simulator, you can register in real time, why bother to build?
My reason for 4 instead of 5 stars ? The terminals are horrible. They should fit just really thick, flat table. If your computer desk has a curved front, it’s really difficult to get them to stay.
The feel of the yoke is a little too plasticky. I would like to see, feel a little smaller with a narrow yoke material to a real yoke.
This article is a must for anyone who their civilian flight simulators (Micrsoft Flight Sim, X-Plane, Fly!) takes seriously. There is so much more fun and realistic then with a joystick. Unless you have Airbus Simulator Add-Ons!
