I love Rock Band (RB) and play with my friends often. We are very pleased with MadCatz wireless two pick-Bass, but have not a nice upgrade for the guitar replacement found. To test with a starting price of $ 200 and no chance of it in a store (and no votes), I took a chance and pulled the trigger on this beaut.
First it is a beautiful , balanced and a substantial part of the equipment. I was careful not to dent the walls or my friends, walking around with them. The Strum Bar is perfect! (No noise, fast spring-back) I also love the hidden and easy location of hitting the Back button with your hand Strum (RB guitars have never done anything good), and the Start button hidden under the Whammy bar. It is not full size, but is much larger than the regular plastic guitars that come with Guitar Hero (GH). In fact, I fell in love with everything about this guitar. . . with the exception of the actual fret buttons.
The fret buttons are exactly the same size as those that come on standard GH guitar, but they are higher up so that your finger at an angle of more are to beat them. The wood fretboard is much wider / larger than the plastic versions, making it even more difficult to achieve in order to connect with the actual keys. This is where a lot easer RB buttons to be taken, although I personally prefer the protruding buttons GH in general, for this piece, they do not work. In fact, some times without my fingers from the keys, it would not register a chord depending on which part of the button is pressed. Instead of my scores getting better and better over time, they were always lower. It may be something others can learn to adapt, but it was a deal-breaker for me (after 7 hours of experience) and I have to send it back. My friends had the same problem – we all loved the look, Viktor & design of this guitar, but the fret buttons not us.
So could do what so wonderful (one 5-stars have love relationship), is back (sent up to three stars). I will patiently purple upgrade to the next tranche (deep color, wait!) And further to my puny variety of plastic toy guitars to play there.
[ For background, as we all have personal preferences, is my current favorite controller of the GH-3-guitar (it did with Aerosmith). The RB standard controllers are good for bass, but their Strum Bar & Back button locations can not compare. I played GH and RB 5 Beatles test this controller. ]

That was my first thought after Unboxing Logitech Xbox 360 Wireless Guitar Controller. The second thing I noticed as I was lifted out there, that it is very difficult. This is not a cheap plastic toy! This is a solid, well built, replica guitar. And the quality shows.
Inside the box, the guitar also shipping with bubble wrap and cardboard spacer is protected. Noteworthy is the fact that this is one piece unit. This eliminates the issues of connectivity between the neck and body, as sometimes in guitar controller, as is the two pieces come boxed. The guitar measures 33rd 75 inches from the tip to the base, with a slightly larger body than my Guitar Hero World Tour guitar, which measures only 31st 25 inches in length (see photo I posted with this post). This additional length pushes the fret buttons a little, but I did not realize that this is an issue. I save my guitar on a stand, but if you are a guitar bag or suitcase, be aware that it does not fit you. Rounding out the included accessories, a manual, a quality strap is to get some batteries you up and play quickly, and one adapter for older style Xbox 360 headset.
IMPRESSIONS
The guitar itself is modeled after Guitar Hero guitar, with the raised fret buttons and sliders in the neck function. Keep this in mind if you are someone who prefers the look of the Rock Band guitars, in-line with its fret buttons. The chrome details, including the vertebral and bridge construction and the use of screws in the real white pickguard lends an authentic look, effectively disguising the start (bridge) and Star Power button (pickups), while keeping it functional. There is even an authentic mother between the headstock and the neck. The Star Power button is located directly under the ball of the hand, it is easy, press down while strumming (You can also rock star power tilt with a neck). The strum bar is the best I have ever seen on a guitar controller. It has just the right feel and is yet to react calmly. One of my fret buttons makes it a bit klickediklickedi-clack when I met him, but I hope it goes away, as it wears in. Overall, this guitar is a quiet, allowing for more enjoyment of the music.

This is a quality guitar controller that I have a serious gamer, the authenticity of their music games add recommended. It is a joy to play.

If you’re a fan of virtual musician / band video games and you’re using the original plastic guitar you love this thing. The extra weight added them, it makes playing much easier, especially when standing up. It makes a big difference to something that is hard enough to stay in place while you play to keep. The Strum Bar is quiet and rebounds very well (better than the original) and the fret buttons are much quieter. You are not silent, but it’s an improvement.
Have a few comments, hard to reach on the fret buttons were a little bit. In my opinion, while they are harder to find with your fingers at first, it makes a bit more realistic. Finding the right strings on a real guitar takes a ton of practice, so that is when the idea of making the game more realistic, then they have succeeded. If you have small hands, but I can see how this would be a challenge.
Four starts because it is not quite as surprising as they describe it, and for nearly two hundred dollars, it should Freakin ‘amazing. Rock on man.

$ 200 for a fake guitar? What
This is my first thought (one that I think can easily by how beautiful this guitar), but the next hurdle is a tough question (it’s orange, no It is bright orange was overcome, I am overcome by the sheer orangeness thereof).
That, said the important question. . . is it worth it?
Short answer? It depends.
It is simply the best fake guitar you can get now (if you can overlook the orangeness!)
Also (a big plus) I need to call the life of the battery, I had this guitar for maybe 60-80 hours and is still using the same battery.
I have a real guitar could (ESP Kirk Hammit) and the fact that this is a real weight and real feeling guitar, I do not be happier with this aspect (although some may come to turn).
; If this were a real guitar tell me: “It plays fast,” ie, the federal government to take notes are very easy, smooth as butter. Simply the best feeling you can get with a fake guitar.
The Strum Bar is nice (but not silent), and the whammy rocks.
Cons:

The Thing makes it easy in these games the better. If something happened to me I would buy it again hope (and pray, a black version or someone figures a way to get rid of orangeness!)

What’s cool is that? If the keys had an option where you could about the structure of your cornea while playing Guitar Hero (so you can play your real guitar work).
Also (by the way) so this guitar works on Guitar Hero and Rock Band (I played every match very well with this guitar and they all work perfectly).
Do check it out (of course only if you play Rock Band or Guitar Hero 3 hours every three months, this is not for you, but if you play every weekend or a few hours a day, do get it, it makes it that much more fun.)

I am assuming that you already decided that the most realistic controller possible if you want to start with Guitar Hero or Rock Band. So among price out of the equation, how does it perform the Logitech Wireless Guitar Controller? Very good, if not quite perfect.
Construction & APPEARANCE
From the moment Unbox it, you think that this is not plastic toy. It is bigger than any standard output GH controller by the length of the top plate (the far end, where the keys are tuning). Note that this means that it does not fit in the GH gig bag, it can be a storage for some concern. Made of solid wood, it is also quite difficult – you’d rather keep one hand on the animal when to turn around or else bye-bye lamp. While the high-quality materials and solid construction, the basis for the control of authenticity are important to note that it may also make him a poor fit for younger children.
In terms of appearance, may the images are not painted his color justice – His body is with an aggressive Day-Glo orange paint. Every taste is different, but that struck me as something to love that only a die-hard Cleveland Browns fan could. On the other hand, the buttons are not responding exactly as I would have liked to be – very good, but players, the gold-star-song of the possibly can be thwarted. Logitech has a great track record creating PC peripherals and all types of gaming controllers. This wireless Guitar Hero controller is no exception. A few minor design issues notwithstanding, it is a fantastic controller, an authentic feeling married with a very solid performance. Suppose that the price tag handle can then be to get that.
