I would not recommend this cable at all. I bought this cable to hook up a PS3 to a Samsung 40 “LCD TV. The highest setting even though I could get was 1080i. I subsequently purchased another cheaper HDMI cable from Amazon and had no problems at all getting up set at 1080p. < , br />

this cable to work with any of my equipment. I ordered it with my PS3 to connect directly to my TV. I had no signal at all. Also tried from my HD cable box to the TV and had no more luck.
I tried my PS3 with an HDMI cable and had no problems.
you do not buy this cable.

I commented at some length about HDMI cable technology about 16 months. Some people have a problem with this particular cable. I have here by multiple placements of friend and family that they had systems is generally found something wrong in the hook-up process. In general, after installing the HDMI cables, they failed due to the source input / output to HDMI on their TV or gaming, or voted the wrong resolution of the source, change the best to their TV. It is important for the synchronization of the hardware so everything apart on the same page.
From that, I will not defend this cable. I do not use it. I found Blue Jeans Cable too perfect for my setup 1080p capable. I use Belden bonded-pair first HDMI 3a cable ($ apx. 4/ft) during my entire system. Moving to first 3a or better help, your system future-proof. And any decent HDMI cable your PS3 will operate, so you do not have to buy them.

I bought this cable because it is 8ft and I had a Monster 4ft Ultra 1000 HDMI cable, but was too short. I could do a comparison and although the 1000 ultra is more expensive will give you the assurance that it performs to the maximum. This cable, however, had speckles on the Xmedia bar displayed screen when it was black and while movie trailers in darker scenes, and it made a popping sound when the PS3 was off (I believe this was mentioned in another post). I know this because had to convert to the expensive cable does not miss an outstanding picture and all details, including dark scenes or black. Maybe it was a defect. But when ordering online takes too long to replace it and try it again with the same. I want to believe that the expensive cables are overvalued, but in this case, they clearly won.
