Unlike, say, the PSP-3000, the PSP needs a proprietary cable go – this. It has the standard USB-A came to an end, but Sony with the multi-use data / charger connector at the other end, where a USB mini-B would be expected. Of course, a standard USB port as capable of “multi-use ‘(charging and data transfer) would like the Sony’s proprietary connection but then a standard cable will not be sold at a premium.
If you lose the original cable that came with the Go, is this point of the recommended replacement or you might want to get to a preventive, as a backup.
To put it briefly to , making Sony’s cable is guaranteed to go to work and it can be had for this premium price, but there are alternatives that are the lower prices it – so make sure you order from a reputable manufacturer.

You need it, and a PC, the PSP GO free. Not sure if the charger has not yet come. I hope so. You also need it to download games, TV shows, themes, pictures and movies to go on the PSP.
