The FC Twin is even more than what it promises. Yes, there is a system, the old Super Nintendo and Nintendo cartridges is (played perfectly!), And the controllers are exact replicas of the SNES controller, but this system is an improvement over the old systems to.
For starters, the FC Twin far more compact than either system. It is only slightly larger than a SNES cartridge and about 2/3rds as deep as the SNES. it will just fit on an already crowded shelf next to your DVD player and other entertainment systems.
Second, the system connects to your TV with modern RCA cables instead of the old port coaxle . This means you can set the tone of your stereo system and also confident that connect it to any modern television set (including flat screens).
Finally, the NES is a component top loading cartridge system to use a card reader slot, so it plays classic Nintendo cartridges with far fewer problems than the original system. That means less time spent blowing on your old cartridges, hoping they will work this time.
The FC Twin has been ideal for my needs in terms of cost efficiency (cheaper than buying either original system), space efficiency (smaller than either system) and reliability (more reliable than an NES), but there are some minor imperfections that buyers should be warned:
1 The FC Twin SNES controller uses sockets, which means that any SNES controller device can be used with the FC Twin, but means classic NES controller devices (like the Zapper) can not.

2 According to Wikipedia, the following Nintendo games do not work with this system: Bandit Kings of Ancient China, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Dragon Warrior II, L’Empereur, and Rad Racer II
3 . Also according to Wikipedia, the following SNES games do not work with this system: BatterUP, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Star Ocean, and Kirby Super Star. In the two years since I bought this system, I’m just another game that does not seem to work with the FC Twin: Rocco’s Modern Life is discovered.
The flip side of it that the rest of the games do not work. So if you’re particularly attached to the above games, this is the system for you.
Finally, some people complained about the Twin no longer read their cartridges after only a short time. People to clean your cartridge before it in a new system. In each example, has a Q-tip of rubbing alcohol to the dirty cartridge contacts and the system of contacts solved the problem for these people. Then, the cartridge immediately because the alcohol is almost immediately dry to the touch. Be careful not to touch any other part of the interior to the partner city with alcohol, though, as these damage your system. Like I said, I’m with my FC Twin for two years and I’ve never had a single problem.

This game console plays both the 8-bit Nintendo games, and the 16-bit SNES games. It is so convienent. I dont have two separate gaming consoles are available with extra cables and extra space on my TV for the storage of two decks. I have both the 8-bit and uses 16-bit slots in the deck. It played the games exactly like the original deck. The one big downside is that I cannot pause any games. If I pause a game for more than 5 minutes if I turn up, it is frozen or the graphics are gone make the game impossible. I had to start over, because many games for this problem. I remembered this a few times and does not have any more slideshow pause. And the deck is very unstable. The slightest shock can lead to end the game. Once I learned all the problems I have learned to avoid them. I still prefer to have under that deck on the two Nintendo decks. The price was right for this game. I paid less for this deck than I for only one of the Nintendo decks. If you have the money, and the space I would recommend buying the original Nintendo decks. But if your like me and dont have much money this deck is a much cheaper alternative.

This machine is great. First of all, it’s great with a console that plays both NES and SNES games. Next, the AV cable is a dream for those of us with newer televisions come true.
All my games have been worked out. My only complaint, and I knew what I enter there, the controller is crappy and awkward light. There is no problem with Ebay or Amazon you use to find some original SNES controller, the good work with the FC Twin.

This system is so cool. It is built basically a Nintendo and Super Nintendo in one. And the best part is that it has plagued no blank screen or flashing that the old Nintendo was with. It has two slots for each cartriage with all the cables to connect to your TV easy. You must play the game for the Nintendo part a few times before on how dirty the game starts ever. It is also difficult to draw again, but not impossible. The Super Nintendo’s part is to simply drag and plays every time. If you are an old-school gamer and love all these classic games for those systems and do not want two systems will then fuss with all connections of this system today. I love it. Plus the price is right.

My only real beef with this system is the terrible sound quality for the NES page. It’s pretty bad if I actually winced when I heard the music for Dragon Warrior 4
One of the main reasons why I still love classic games like Megaman, Dragon Warrior and Ninja Gaiden game, for all the great music that is sometimes heard. If you do this away. . . . Well, it’s just not as much fun with the game on your iPod, but hey, at least you can still play.
On a side note, it’s been said that one can not play Dragon Warrior 2nd Well, I could play my copy very well. Perhaps it has something to do with the save function? But so far everything played perfectly.
What the SNES hand, it is almost completely flawless. The sound quality is perfect, as is the gameplay. The only thing is I do not like that you can not play Super Mario RPG, which I think really s-cks. That was one of my favorite 16-bit games. You can not play for the same reason why you can not play Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse for NES page. This is a newer chip that was used in the game of creation to do. I thought to process the information faster. The good news is that there are only a few games that use these chips on both the NES and SNES page.
As other reviewers said, the cable to the controller are short, I recommend buying an extension cable for the SNES used at your local store gaming. Also the controllers that come with it are not very good (at least in my case) the keys had very slow response rate and not work at all but a few. However, it can be replaced with the traditonal snes contoller and work perfectly for the 8-bit and 16-bit.
You might also find themselves in a struggle with the death grip that FC Twin on your NES games brings, this supposedly reduces over time.
This would be a perfect system was esp. with the possibility of both games from the 8-bit and play the 16-bit generations. But the poor audio quality on the NES-side and minus Super Mario RPG on the SNES page take home some points. Still it is a very admirable attempt, and I would prefer as with the FC Twin, two systems on my TV (I already have a PS2, Xbox and GameCube are connected!)
