  1. There is simply no reason to pay these high prices for a cable that does not work better. There is no difference between the image quality you expect from these cables compared to other third party component cables, which can be bought for around $ 15 to $ 20. Even Nintendo’s official component cables are cheaper than this.

That said, component cables are not a significant improvement in appearance. Improves color and sharpness and allows for progressive scan (if your TV supports). I recommend buying a set of component cables, especially for an EDTV or HDTV, but I do not recommend these special cables.

  2. I bought these Monster cables because I use Monster cable for all my game consoles, and for my Dish receiver. I use the 1000 series Monster cables and wires for the X-Box 360 and PlayStation 3 If I use this cable from the Wii was going through my Pioneer Elite THX receiver, kept the Wii flash on my Sony HDTV and I could not stabilize the picture. I called Nintendo and when I told them I was with these cables, they said, because they are not licensed WII cable that goes my warranty. She said that these cables were ruined Wii’s everywhere. I sent my Nintendo Wii and when they came back they said they would replace the board, and I had to pay for the repair. So please be careful and should this happen to you, do not say you were with these cables. Thanks, Robert

  3. So I needed some HD cables for my Wii. And since analong outputs (not digital) I needed something shielded to get the cleanest picture.
First I tried a brand that was only a fraction of the price. They worked fine, but with the money I saved, it felt wrong. I did not know what to do with the $ 50, so I just rolled it around the cable like insulation or shielding. This is really hampered the flexibility of the cable and I think it causes more problems.
So I returned the cables to the store and using that money to buy them. Now my Wii is exactly the same as when I used looks like any other cables, but I did not think about what to do with, to care more about money.

  4. The picture that I made this thing I am is always better than that of the Wii-branded service. Wii video quality is not the full 1080, so the search for the absolute best video compared to a PS3 or Xbox 360 will probably be disappointed, but that is not a function of the cable.

  5. I was actually cheaper at Target after the purchase at Amazon, but they work.
