Animal Genius was by far my 7-year-old daughter on her favorite Leapster. When she came to the same game for their new Nintendo DS, I was a bit hesitant to buy it, for fear that it might exactly the same game as his model the Leapster. She had played the Leapster version so much, I think they answered every single question they could, many times over. But the DS version is different enough that it once again, engaged and learn a lot about animals. I like the fact that this game is educational and fun.

I bought this as a birthday present for my daughter, 14yrs animals and loves trivia. When she played, it was much too simple. This game is more for younger children, perhaps targeted 5 – 7yr. Hope this helps in your purchase.

I have 4-year-old this game as a gift yesterday, and he has not put it down since! There is a lot to them busy without overwhelming and it is one of the few fun educational games out there. The best part is that the children read the children instead of talks. A lot of games say they are age appropriate for everyone, but very few four and five year olds can in full paragraphs about the need to do it in order to read the game! I would recommend this game to anyone with children.

My daughter is 6 and has really enjoyed this game. She has learned a lot of animal facts. My 14-year-old was not so impressed, so that I would recommend for a younger audience.

My son loves everything about this game! He knew a lot about animals, but has run a million times to me told me new facts he has learned from the game. So beautiful, that he learned while playing his DS! Very easy to play for children and too big to build his reading skills! LOVE IT!
