  1. The Cooking Mama series is nothing wrong of me to do. These are near-perfect games, when you get exactly what you expect and then some. As the title suggests, Cooking Mama 2 is a game with 80 cooking recipes from around the world, including favorites such as Kimchee and pancakes. They prepare food in steps, with Mom to give you helpful tips and scores on the road. The over-the-top cute graphics and intuitive gameplay make this a favorite of children, but there is finesse involved that even adults find frustrating. These games are ideal for the Achiever in your life, and Cooking Mama 2 pushes the idea further by unlockable adjustments to your kitchen and Mom’s wardrobe.

The most impressive feature of the Cooking Mama titles of their use of the Nintendo hardware. Cooking Mama 2 stroke continue to play the DS with innovative stylus. Move the pen to process a meat grinder to go there. Crack an egg by drawing a line to the bowl – slowly, or you’ll wind with egg on his hand. Blow into the microphone, make sure not a pot of boiling water boil over. There are several dozen different mechanisms, and most of them are easy to grasp, but hard to master. Most of the preparation requires that you beat the clock, but if you chop, without pause, or drag a piece of meat from the freezer in just the right moment, you can receive bonuses. This makes the basic gameplay is a breeze, and expanded gameplay an art.

After you have enabled a few recipes you can cook for Mama’s friends. Mama will not give you hints to figure out what you should do, but since you’ve worked through the recipe at least once, you do not need instructions. As a result of the preparation of meals for Mama’s friends is a much faster process and the rewards or penalties are greater. If you make a mistake if it is for mom’s friends, Cooking Mama is not there to help you and your preparation is cut short, before you click Finish. If you are good, you will be presented and unlock special items for the adjustment of your game.

You can customize Mama’s dress, accessories, glasses, the look of their kitchen, and the color of the kitchen you in the game. There are 10 types of dress (with several color options each), 5 and 5 kitchen accessories to unlock settings. I like to match everything Customizing an unnatural degree, but many players will love it cleans itself in crazy mama lemon earrings and strange cheerleading outfits. Not every friend that will impress you unlock an item – sometimes the gifts are only nice things that remain to be not in your game, like looking for a kitten or a treasure chest.

As in previous versions, you can practice a part of the recipe, and for records in specific preparation techniques. Both Cooking Mama 1 and 2 for the DS offer wireless play so you can your friends an egg-cracking contest challenge. This is not as cool as Cooking Mama Cookoff for the Wii, where you can run an entire recipe to friends, but there is something very proclaim attraction in itself, the queen of the deep fryer and laying the smackdown in an egg-cracking Competition.

There are a few annoying parts of the game. Bonuses are now useful – you deserve everyone you get a star out of 5, and for every 5 stars you will receive a gift. But the gifts are not enabled products, they are rewarded only cute graphics. Calculation of these awards will take time, and the accompanying music is very loud. It is nice that the bonuses some kind of reward, but I would prefer points or records to be an overkill praise. Some of the mechanics are mastered a little too heavy. I think braising and boiling to be a pain because you are waiting for the food to eat, have to cook until it reaches the green part of the progress meter, but one must also temperature and stir – not too often – to be sure, the food not pass the green sweet spot on the meter and stays right there until time is expired. Setting the temperature of the oven and stirring the food is wildly change the progress meter, so it is very difficult to do in relation to the timer.

This is not my favorite Cooking Mama title, but the improvements significantly increase the replay value and is really from the game. Within a release or two, this game will be perfect, deadly addictive, and completely free of flaws. Let us hope that the world does not run out of interesting recipes in the meantime!

  2. This sequel is as fun as the first game. This time you do get bonus stars for extra good things (I think) and win gifts that I can still be found. If you gold medals and more of these stars, you can change Mama’s outfits and the style and colors of the kitchen and utensils. It’s fun, but again the repetition value is low when you get all gold medals. But now you can your friends via wireless instead of just sending a demo challenge. The recipes are different and there are some new devices to operate. I gave it only four stars, because the replay value and the nature of the annoying new graphics.
Update: OK can, the gifts you win in the diary are used to decorate pictures of your food. It does a lot to serve a purpose, but it’s still fun.

  3. I myself have only played a few minutes but those few minutes were a blast.

On the other hand, had my children a sleepover where they played Cooking Mama, both 1 and 2 ALL NIGHT LONG! The game held their attention, they helped each other and there were laughs a lot. The game helps to learn to work more skillfully with the stylus and fun.

Nice additions allow the player to change Mama’s outfits. This time we can hear, Mom, I LOVE hearing the girl “is even better than Mama!” The ultimate compliment. />

The realization of the reward is an entertaining and attainable goal for small hands are not quite as skilled with the pen. While it seems that some games seem to be almost impossible, the game seems to really focus on a younger audience. I’m not saying this is a con. In addition, viewing the variety of recipes and what countries they come from can be a little learning to the mix as well.

    Well done! (No pun intended).

  4. This game is hard, but fun. There is a part, I can not happen. I do not know about you, but this game is fun. You can use other Charecters cook, Mom, Mom, but I like it because it shows you the rules. The makers have definitely better after the first, in my opinion.

  5. Cooking Mama was one of the first games I bought when I got my DS, because it is sweet and fun and good looking, if I wanted just to shut my brain for a few minutes. I ended up getting ridiculously obsessed with her and bought Cooking Mama 2 before I even half of the first game would end.

And it was definitely worth it, even if, for the most part, it’s more of the same. The ability to make change Mama’s Look fun, and cooking for Mama’s friends add a bit more challenging than was present in the first game. One thing I really love is that some steps have been condensed, slicing and chopping an onion is now all in one step instead of Slice you are included, see Mama assessment Slice another way to find Mama’s assessment, chop, etc.

My only complaint is big on the new bonus gifts. Although not completely useless (they can use to decorate your diary, although I personally do not agree with the diary), they seem to really be so, and it takes forever for the premium may be charged is to appear, and the one to open you selected. And with some more recipes that you may have enough bonus stars to sit through the whole thing more than once! It’s definitely an annoyance, but if the rest of the game is so pleasant, it’s an annoyance I can live with.

If you are not a big fan of is the first, Cooking Mama 2 as repetitive and not otherwise enough to win. But if you really loved the first one is definitely worth check out. And if you’re new to the world of Cooking Mama are, I would highly recommend this game over the first, the concept has not changed much, but the small improvements that make it a game even more fun.
