  1. The only video game systems I have ever owned, is a Super Nintendo and Nintendo DS. As a big fan of the Donkey Kong Country series, I could not wait for this game to come out. I have it on the day after it was released last week, and I was not disappointed. Of course I have not lost the game yet, but I have conquered the first two worlds and I was absolutely blown away.
At the beginning of the game, Cranky gives you lessons on how to use the controls (as it difficult at first!). Then he has to play a few mini-games to get used to it. After training, the controls are pretty easy to get used to. Cranky also appears on the way to advanced moves you teach.
The levels are quite innovative – so far I labryinth in a glass where you find your way out, a level where both DK and its mirrored counterpart safely come through an area, preserved, and a “toybox theme” level. Each level also has a DK coin, an oil barrel, and 5 or 6 Bananna coins hidden. When you reach the end of the level, it shows you how many “goodies” have found you. If you find all the barrels of oil in a world where you can fly to the world bonus level, which is somewhat more difficult than the other levels in this world. Finding DK coins gives you access to cheats. I have not yet shown what the Bananna are coins, but I’m sure there is a further purpose in the game that I too have not yet come!
As I have said I have not finished the game yet, but so far it is much more fun. It is a MUST BUY if you are a Donkey Kong-fan, and I recommend it for everyone else!

  2. I bought this game because I have a new DS game (requires finally plays Yoshi’s Iceland DS) and I wanted a game from Nintendo, because these are the best games. I’m glad I DK Jungle Climber! It’s a really fun game, and it is packed with bonus mini-games challenge to unlock. If you swing the L and R buttons on the top of the DS. It’s different, but not hard, you get the rotation any time. At the beginning of the game will explain the controls and give you a small challenge to complete to ensure that you understand. If you are on the ground you can use the regular control pad to move DK. The music is beautiful and catchy and the graphics are razor sharp, in fact some of the scenery is just beautiful, I love the colors! To be honest I was really hoping for a challenge like Funky’s Fishing in DK Country, but no such luck. Well, it’s still a really fun game and the new way to control swinging makes funn.

  3. Taking a page from Donkey Kong: King of Swing for GBA, DK Jungle Climber for the DS is a simple and fun trips with Nintendo’s mascot resident monkeys, when he crossed to the island of island grabbing bananas, in the conduct of King K. Rool . Visually the game looks pretty sharp as it used the pre-rendered characters from the classic Donkey Kong Country games. What makes DK Jungle Climber to play really worth is to control the game system that uses the shoulder buttons of the DS, and it works quite well, although it can get used to something for some. The levels are inventive, there are plenty of performances by other Donkey Kong universe characters (Diddy Kong will open and when to lend a hand), and there are mini games as well to boot. The only real negative aspect of DK Jungle Climber is that the cartoony aspect of the whole can not win more if you are not already a fan of the character or Nintendo’s many video game icons in general and the difficulty ranges from incredibly easy to deceptive challenging at times too fast. Apart from this, but DK Jungle Climber is a fun blast while it lasts, and it is definitely worth checking out for DS owners.

  4. If it goes to Donkey Kong games, you can expect some crazy stories, wacky gameplay, and also collects a lot of bananas!

This game is no different! If you Donkey Kong Country for the SNES love, this game has some taste of that cult classic. It was based on a level of Donkey Kong game, and sometimes they can be a little frustrating.

The story in this game is like no other game Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong and his friends enjoy rest and relaxation when a giant Bananna crashes on the island boat. And as usual, King K. Rool is to cause problems. Plus there is a fun and friendly foreigners Bananna creature you have to help! :)

The gameplay is like that of DK King of Swing for GBA, and if you played the game, you will familular with some of the controls. This game is all about button mashing, and with the help of the L and R shoulder buttons on the DS. You can skip DK, and all surfaces that can of posts you cling to climb and crawl through. You will fly through the air with the speed burst attacks and pop in barrels. You aim is to collect coins, DK coins, JEMS, and many, many banannas before you reach the goal.

The plus side is this game has a lot of fun and addictive mini-games! In these mini-games, you can jump over logs start with DK banannas hands and drums, and see who the fastest ascent. Plus with the DS wireless connection, you can use up to two other players play in a barrel race!

I love this game because it is much fun for single player Adventure mode, and of course because of the mini-games, and the story is packed with the usual DK hummor

    Overal score: A 4 out of 5!

  5. I rated this game four stars for fun, but three stars on the fact that it bends so far from the Donkey Kong heritage does not deserve to have the DK title, is based. If this were a different character with a different name my disappointment in this game would have been much less – but with a story full of memories of the Donkey Kong series, I hate to say that this one does not live up to secure the name. It is very obvious that DK: Jungle Climber was not made by Rare. There is no real adventure in the game. The concept is new and tempting – Donkey Kong spins on herring. . . Wooden pegs. . . Stone pegs. . . Iron pins. . . Ice herrings – they move from level to level. And DK has some interesting new techniques with this game, how to fly the method of attack, and his ability. However, these (and graphics) the only benefits to the game. The story is at best average. There are very few extras beyond the levels, and achieving 100% completion is not the time spent worth it. There is a maximum bonus barrel in each level (if any) and the challenge is always the same – catch bananas in a Barrel, Rummel. There are elements within the levels to collect, like the KONG letters, banana coins, and the DK coin, but they serve no purpose other than significant free men and useless tricks. And do not be fooled by the cover, you can not play Diddy, as you could in previous games. If the level it actually manages a DK Barrel, Diddy comes out and sits on the back of DK. If DK is made, Diddy goes away. My biggest complaint is that I felt that some of the levels that were too difficult. Not difficult because of lack of skill, but simply because it would take several times to play a certain part of the plane over and over and over until you figured out the strategy required to make it (since DK dies so easily plays) and that time you are so tired from playing the level you are ready, just the game for good. I remember spending about 40 men trying to one level (and lost with a more than 20 people is a great achievement!)

Overall, I would say if you’re in the DC- embedded games from the past, do not expect the same level of activity and fun with this. If you are new to video games or the DK series, you will probably enjoy this game. But I encourage you to some of the old Donkey Kong Country games, developed for SNES, but also as GBA games and can try to play in the DS.
