I bought this game when I finally realized that it did not turn as the basis are the Final Fantasy games I had played. I did not know how I would have liked to play but decided. I hate multiplayer games, so this post is only for the single-player experience. I like this game, and spent many hours playing through it. The controls are a little hard, but I got used to how the game fairly quickly in control. What I liked most about the game is to solve it like Zelda, where you go into a dungeon (or temple to fight ruins, etc.) and monsters and puzzles to move from room to room, with a Big Boss battle at the end. The story in my opinion was fun, although I do not think the best ever. I do not think it was as terrible as some people will say. This is actually one of my favorite games that I have for my DS, and I’m going to buy the first crystal chronicles game for the DS, Ring of Destiny.

This game would have been really great, but I have to be honest. . . It should be not nearly as much fun as it is. The hype promised Diablo-like multi-player dungeon, and to some degree, that’s true, but lacks the overall implementation, especially the controls. For every good thing for this game, it seems at least as bad property that is actively obstructed, my joy.
FIRST the good stuff:
+ + + GRAPHICS: Full 3-D graphics with a bright and rich colors. One of the best graphical showcases on the DS.
+ + + SOUND: Pretty good, which is not surprising, because Square-Enix are proud of the music in their games.
+ + + MULTI PLAYERS: The multiplayer options are solid and connection to friends is easy, either by local wire-less access, or Wi-Fi Internet connections, so play that up to four players. In this respect the game a winner in most types of DS games is fail completely. You can invite other players to your game, jump fairly seamlessly from one player to the multi-player in seconds. More games should do this. I can not stress enough how great it is. Oh, and you can with players who play the game on the Wii itself. . . a very nice gesture, but not one that I use probably. Many thoughts went into the multi-player, and it shows.
+ + + Levels, many levels and caves to explore a variety of environmental puzzles. None of this is mind-shattering amazing, but the level designs are still pretty good.
And the problems. . .
— THE CHECK: If there is one thing that ruins a game quickly, it is poorly controlled. The controls in this game are stiff, not responding, and unnecessarily complicated. Aiming magical attacks is slow and kind of sloppy. The magic system stack is important, gameplay, and a really cool idea, but the controls that are needed actually a little too cumbersome to ever make it, of course. For this reason, for the control of someone other than melee characters can be slow. In addition, since the game uses an isometric 3D perspective at all levels, controls diagonal quickly hand fatigue because you spend much time operating the small DS control pad. Narrow bars and jump jumps are made much more difficult than it should be because of the hard controls.
— Invisible wall syndrome: This game invisible wall syndrome suffer for no good reason. Some areas you can get to easily, while others mysteriously blocked off by an invisible wall. Annoying, but not a deal breaker.
— COMPUTER AI is terrible: Your companion in the single-player mode are terribly stupid regardless of what AI settings that you give them. Most of the time they seem to stand there and do nothing, to see how a small group of unusually large anime-member cheerleading as their football quarterback in the school parking lot by the opposing team always ganked while trying footballs stack. It is actually easier to go to your teammates and go it alone.
— Terrible story: I would describe it, but then I would have to think about it. Fortunately, you can skip a story scenes, if you want, this is not a deal breaker either. I am a bad history when the multi-player provides entertainment to tolerate.
— Single-player mode: The above-mentioned problems honestly the single-player mode make it almost impossible to enjoy for a long time. A complete shame. . .
I read several reviews that sang praises to this game before I decided to purchase one, and I will be honest. . . I feel lied to. Almost none of them mentioned the controls to some degree. There is always the chance that I have some drooling moron just seven thumb and little finger per hand and am unable to walk and chewing gum at the same time, but I have gained much more demanding games without suffering so much effort. If the checks had not been so frustrating (or if the DS had an analog joystick), I could probably have given this game three or even four stars only because the multi-player is so well done. As it stands, I can only recommend this game if you have other friends who were also planning this game for the multi-player have.

I’ve been a cooperative multiplayer game that is family friendly searched for quite a while. My children are all in elementary school, so that an e-assessment is much better. Cooperative is also a must, because there are plenty of sibling rivalry without a chosen form of entertainment only makes it worse. Plus I have a soft spot for role playing. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time is the latest game in our search.
The FF: CC series has made progress in that category, but far from perfect. The first game (on Gamecube) has been fun, but requires so much investment in Gameboys and connection cords that the assembly was a decent party, expensive and rare. Plus everyone had to remain on the screen and try to understand a pre-owned concept that only in consequence of their frequent death and tears.
FF: CC Ring of Fates was an improvement. It was slashing the waiting period for the cost to expensive enough for the whole family outfit. The portability of Nintendo DS was a great help for those long car trips. And had to get the ability for the players getting my daughter through the difficult jumps and problematic camera perspective is essential. However, it was a magic vibrating anger and solo adventure ho-hum.
This brings us to FF: CC Echoes of Time. It is a remarkable improvement over Ring of Fates for single and multiplayer formats. However, there are certain advantages and disadvantages to this game. Having shelled out for a copy of both the Wii and DS versions, I would 100% recommend the Nintendo DS on the Wii, if you just do not have access to one. The graphics and the juggling of screens on the Wii is irritating.
Game Features:
cooperative multiplayer – the game industry just does not make enough of these types of games (in the killing non-zombie/mutant/soldier style). Puzzles are much easier with more hands and heads. And the bosses go faster. Plus, people actually specialize in Multiplayer.
FF: CC Echoes brings home the money for multiplayer co-op. It is easy to save to a party at any point (usually at the beginning of each section to start quest, just before a boss fight or in the core city). The drop-in, drop-out smoothly. You can work with local parties for wireless persons in the same room or over Wi-Fi for friends or strangers.
The parties can be 2-4 players with each DS-hosting, as long as everyone has a copy of the game. Unfortunately, it can be an annoying delay when you visit someone on Wi-Fi. I do not have locally via Wi-Fi anymore, but check when I celebrated with a friend halfway across the country, the delay jumps to unplayable for timing limited. There are still competitive mini-quests for fun. And the bickering is all the Dropped / Money not eliminated completely.
If you do not know anyone with the game, you can create your own party and transmission of non-player characters. Unfortunately, they are very close to being lost, a jump in lava, not cure. Their only redeeming feature is that to make them faster and they do not kill their prey.
GEAR steal / items: FF: CC is a good system for leveling up player, transmission or magic . It seems like someone or something bumps at least once in each room. The materials can be produced in better equipment. A few materials can be bought or won in the mini-games.
Every city has a phase where we Primp and body attitude and admire you close-up seems to have. Or make your group members admire you because it fits on your screen.
There are ways to adjust gear and recycle old gear to improve new ones. The game also has a gear “Storage” system, where you grow attached to something and want to use it for another character. One of my sons loves to squeeze out every last attribute of an element, so keep this aspect of the game come to him happy for some time.
FIGHTING / MOVEMENT: Okay, I say it now, I have the perspective in the FF: CC hate. With the controller, each direction is besides the main four being a pain, especially if you have a double jump-ED specific attack time. There are too many walls that do not see it, because around the perspective can be fixed. My children seem less trouble than me (and they * are * better players), so perhaps it is just me. The fact that a record player to another and can jump through the zone it is a life saver for the little ones (my daughter would have been) and the very old (no comment).
Magic casting is better than Ring of Fates, because you have a mana bar and do not collect more on the mini-ball spell. It still takes an extra step to change spells, especially on the Wii. I wish the targeting system would lock on one person instead of trying to follow a character with a ring of colored light. It is a hassle to try a party friend, if they heal on the run from monsters.
Overall, the children enjoy the game a lot. I must have fork out for another copy, so nobody is left behind completely. Dungeon Crawl has some cute mystery mixed with the fighting. Communication with people over Wi-Fi is a set number of spells is limited if you can design your own. It is quite cumbersome to search through the menus to say “wait a second,” before a monster attacks.
Advantages: Excellent cooperative multiplayer RPG, good balance of puzzles and dungeons smooth local functions
CONS: horrible perspective, average and single-player story, terrible LAG over Wi-Fi (hope that it will be improved, “said Super Smash Bros Brawl had a lot of of online lag, when it was first started) too expensive for the family buy

As someone who played primarily on this single-player mode, I did not find, the game is as bad as other people described! I could see how this game would be a little easier to play when more than one person accompany you, but I had no problem making the puzzle of me. The AI was a little annoying sometimes, but I just wanted my extra party members in the first place to ward off annoying enemies, and to this end, they were good. While some of the controls were a little difficult, I found that this was not from the game experience as a whole, not detract at all.
The story itself pretty easily, but seeing that it is a Square Enix game for Nintendo’s system, which did not surprise me. The graphics were really great on the DS, and the voice acting was decent (which is rare for many video games). I thought the game really well and the dungeons were flowing at just the right degree of difficulty. I also really go on the quests you have and how many ways are appreciated for weapons, armor could, and accessories.
My only complaint was that the game was too short! Before I knew it, I had beaten the game, and I felt like a few more dungeons, or a few more enemies deserve burned. Although the New Game + is always a great feature, I would like the game itself took a bit longer.

Enjoy all the Final Fantasy games, this one was not different. I loved the graphics and the ease of playing. Enjoy reading the story and the ability to listen to the game. Will recommend this game to others.
