  1. There are no two ways to learn. “Learn geography” is just terrible. It is slow to load and looks like the old Windows 3 A software design from the 80s. The graphics are ugly and the interface is designed very poorly and counter-intuitive. It is education, but by brute force. It really makes learning difficult. Do not give this to your children, except as a punishment. They will hate you.

It is not suitable for grades 1-4, there is much reading involved and play very little incentive or something to keep their attention. The “Geopedia” where you learn about the countries, all the text facts that appear in the top of the screen, with only the national flag. Nothing else. No photos of people, clothes, famous attractions, dining, etc. The bottom screen is hit by a huge ALERT message that pop-up can be found on the top screen to see and tap twice to close. This is a pointless waste of space, and no, you must double-tap to this field and returned to close on the map. You can not push a single tap or a button. Scroll around the world with the + direction pad. If you see a little checkbox on the map, you can tap to enlarge and select a city. But to draw up the facts about the selected city, you can not open up again. You have to push A. Then the ALERT will appear again. WHY? In addition, the map is ugly. The countries are making filled with a cross-hatch pattern, that they look like colored jute potato sacks.

GeoHunt is a confusing Easter egg hunt, where to find the location of the trivia given notice, like “This city is the most popular tourist attraction in the world.” You then need to fly your aircraft. The interface is very confusing and it is very difficult and not at all funny. Even as one is to have reacted badly to the questions. It is not clearly marked on the screen and I poked around until I found out by chance, what was the meaning of the game. This game is not suitable for children. I am an adult with a college education, and I had trouble with the questions. Imagine how children would feel.

This book is simply awful. It is Shovelware ill conceived. It is not fun and it’s not entertaining. Please do your children a favor and not made subject to this bad piece of garbage. Get them something else, like where on earth is Carmen Sandiego? DVD or an adequate level of the game from the highly rated ClueFinders Adventures series.

  2. This was the match of the day a few weeks ago. I thought it was interesting and hey, why not? My FI loves geography and teases me as I am not good at it. So I thought this game would be a fun way for me to catch up to him and also from the screenshots he would like to play the game to test their current knowledge.

This game teaches you no geography at all in a structured way. There are a lot of mini games that are actually not so funny, where you need to already know a lot happen Geography / finish.

I could not figure out where the teaching the plan or if there is a lesson plan. Of that I can say after touching it’s basically all that learning was through trial and error.

What is even more frustrating the responsiveness of the touchpad with the game. I play many games and I know that my DS touch pad works well and it was really annoying when I tried to move or touch, which in this game that I do it because it had to repeatedly log on to this action. It could be that the game was just too slow and it was slow. . . It was very slow, I tested it and sometimes it was slow, but most of the time it is not just touched my registration.

I think they assume the place to be to touch you so well that it moves not occur if you in particular, that pixels that are hard to find, can touch it, I usually only around the area where I know where it suppose mash, a hope that I touch pixels.

I can forgive bad graphics (this game has terrible graphics). I can forgive, badly made mini-games (most mini-games were bad, but some were kind of fun). I can not forgive, poor responsiveness. If I touch something with my stylist I want to Register at the first touch 5th touch.

I spent about two hours with this game and my FI tried this game thinking that I was too hard for her, he played for about 15 minutes. We agree that’s probably the worst game ever, we have, and we have a lot of DS games.

    DON “T buy it!

  3. Ok, I’m a little bad with geography and thought this would be a way to learn something fun. Wrong. This thing is boring, and the worst part is that he does not even teach you. You shall always know before you learn geography geography. If you can not teach, they set it so bad that they can not even figure out what is section that is hard to set in. As it world map, and if you tap on, you know what part of the world, and some information about them. Then, after you learn, you can test it. I’m not sure how this will be for grades 1-4, but your kids hate it.

  4. I quess I was looking for the bad in this game after reading this review but I decided to buy and to see for myself. I put it down after the first time thought the game was locked away, because I do not read manual says, tap twice to remove Windows or open. Then, after knowing that I have found you tap twice quickly no delays between or it will not work. As soon as I hang the Gort of what I give is not very friendly, why not tap just once, I was fine. You have to explore Geopedia much for the facts before to learn the game. If you do not see how other reviewers are, and have no fun with this game. Thus discover and learn the facts first before anything.
Then the games are fun. Learn lanforms, cities, color flags, puzzles, and etc. There are 10 mini-games. then there is a treasure hunt game and yes it would be better to know the facts from Geopedia before in this one and REM. Tap twice on the deal quickly. I like the map puzzle game and have not played but three times as I have not seen the map of the USA Puzzle. I have the world map puzzle, but I hope the USA puzzle is, as I have seen in screenshots. I also hope it has facts about every state that I have not yet encountered. So far I have only seen facts and great world city, attractions.
I had to make to this review, with the bad reviews help. If you rem twice quickly and Study Geopedia section simply type before jumping into the game, you will enjoy. If you go through just jump into the game with out geopedia facts you will learn will be lost when you know all the facts. Children need to know how to read before they play so they can read all the facts. And to read because it manual instead of facts when a key is pressed and then scroll to get direction pad with a lot more facts in the same place there. I can not wait to explore more and then help my child learn from this:) The parents would be well advised to find out the game before the child.

  5. I think this game soon, I could get some interest in geography, my 6 and 7 years old children. I am from France and live in the state, and there we are flighing and fourth between the two continents, I thought it would be a great tool to learn. . . wrong.
First, it takes a long time to just try to load a game.
    The games are not intuitive.
not the world map, where your plane before can fly even the name of the country, only the city!.
I felt I could learn from and teach my children at the same time, she tried to play, it’s too heavy for her.
, Would not even recommend this for adults only.
