  1. Once in a while, a Japanese game translated, taking the scene by storm, and makes people ask why does not it happen sooner. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney has the potential to be such a game. Originally released only in Japan, “Gyakuten Saiban” (loosely as “reverse verdict” translated) is a popular legal simulation game for the GBA that allows you to be the possibility of a defender. The series has already spanned three installments, with one more than for the release for the Nintendo DS scheduled for next year. Before that happens, but Capcom released “Gyakuten Saiban: Yomigaeru Gyakuten” in September for the title of the smooth transition from GBA to DS. The game contains a fully translated English version, which eventually in the U.S. as Phoenix Wright Released: Ace Attorney (PWAA) recently.

So, what is really PWAA? Well, it’s basically a point-and-click adventure that is set in a legal context. As a rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright, take on five cases in this game, in which four of the first Gyakuten Saiban contains game and a brand new event that was developed with the functions of the DS in mind.
< br /> The game takes place primarily in two platforms – investigation and court proceedings. In the former scenario, you go from place to place, talking to people and investigate crime scenes for evidence that may be relevant to prove your client’s innocence to collect. Although the investigation process could sometimes boring, it’s never boring, because the game throws so many colorful characters and stereotypes, to provide you with deals. study also, despite a large number of products in different locations in relation to a particular case, the game is more useful because it automatically excludes all the evidence that somehow some bearing on the case. This means that you never really need to ask themselves what is useful and what is not, so with an overload of information. It also lets you essentially with the task of finding out why they are important evidence that the game offers a better concentration.

Information you will collect during the investigation of your court record, which one of your biggest weapons is to be admitted in court. The court record also provides more information about the evidence collected. For example, you can score an autopsy report from the detective in charge of the case, but it is only when you look at this report in the file that you will receive a summary of the content. This applies to most if not all the characters available, and for this reason, reading the court documents is an important task that you should never forget. The game also has the gift of turning the inconspicuous note in a key, so take note that to be a screwdriver, for example, could that indicate that the truth for you nails in court.

during the trial, apart from coming to prosecutors who are eager to judge that your clients to convince them guilty are, you will also face to face with witnesses who either make or break Their defense can. You get to cross-examine these witnesses and, what, where the fun really begins. Almost every statement about you came into this game, a weakness or two that you may use, can turn around the tide in your favor. Each certificate is broken down into statements, and any statement allows you the option either to press for more information, or object by presenting a contradictory statements. While this may sound simple, it could present to establish the precise evidence nor a difficult task if you are not close to the case. Of course, the puzzle-solving such good helps a lot, but the cases are all in a logical, albeit linear fashion, that is even those who are not quite ready to guess the murderer, if they only exercise some design industry and common sense.

Now that it is mostly just a real objection to any statement, it is very likely that, when confronted by a bottleneck, you eliminate wrong choices by They record everything in your presentation, if not a form of restriction is set. To prevent this potential abuse, the game has a penalty that reduces your “health” when an incorrect throw-in. The health of the package is at all times represented by exclamation point on the screen. Each false claim will result in a dramatic explosion of an exclamation point. Do this for five times, and you will be welcomed with the game on screen. This may sound harsh, it actually encourages you to spend time on it, by the case, in turn, should lead to more satisfying gaming experience.

Now it seems so many things in the game to do to have the controls pretty complicated? Well, not quite. In fact, the controls are so user PWAA, you can start the game without even playing with the buttons on your DS at all. Each action can be executed with the stylus by clicking the appropriate button on the touch screen. Want to move to another area? Click “Move” and a menu will appear to ask where you go. To examine an item? Point your stylus to tap it and you will receive your results. It’s just so easy. Besides, you wave the pen, the game also uses the DS ’speech recognition capability, making it possible to cry for you: “Objection!” into the microphone to counter witness’ statement. can also write as “Hold it! press” is a statement and “take that!” provide a decisive evidence. Although the idea is a little bizarre, it means you feel the satisfaction, especially when at last the murderer much with a powerful “Take that!” forced after a busy three-day trial version. The speech is never about you, so if you do not converse with a machine, you can always the good old pen dependent.

Other checks are for the fifth case of PWAA added. As I noted above, the fifth case was developed specifically for the DS. This brand new event uses the DS ‘innovative features. You get to rotate and zoom-in on evidence in order to investigate further. You get to seed fragments of evidence together. You can even, powder away on your screen, and then they blow in order to collect fingerprints. All these features really strong participation for the player – they make you feel that you are right in the middle of the action.

Graphically PWAA uses an anime style to the various drawing quirky characters. The style should appeal to most people, although they expected to become repetitive over the course of the game. Still, as you are spending the most time reading the discussions, you will be forgiven rather than Phoenix Wright points the finger back out (for the umpteenth time), when he the judge that the witness’ testimony is incorrect, says. The audio of the game are also heavily anime-inspired. The music is combined with the action very well and it’s pretty obvious that the developers actually tried different background music, creating unique to the different characters. Also in this game adds strong.

All in all PWAA is a game that I would recommend all DS owners, even those who are not exactly interested in crime novels. The game a little too linear for players to think in advance, can tend to, but it’s still a great adventure for those who want to try something else. It’s not every day that you are a lawyer, and I’m pretty sure that after you relieve your role as Phoenix Wright, you need for a continuation of his itching. If a quality game is a matter for you, then you should really consider an appointment with PWAA.

  2. It is a wonderful contribution from Phoenix Wright already on Amazon, so I do not feel the need to go to such detail with my statement. I just want some things that I think cover about this amazing game, and give you a second opinion of species.

Americans seem not usually good with FARE text-based games. It’s just something about the fact that they sit and read and select options that the average American teenager to run in the mountains. Has

As such, I was very surprised when I heard this game was coming to the States. There are dozens (if not hundreds) of the genre in Japan, but the U.S. not many of them have seen. But with the peculiarities of the DS and the growing interest in obscure Japan-only games on a certain cross section of demographic Gaming (see Katamari damashii, Wario Ware, Feel the Magic, or even things like DDR and Para Para Paradise [Okay, that last one not so much, but I'm a big fan]) seems ready to publishers, the risk a bit more than it would take.

And so we have a whole series of strange text -based games. There was jumping to version (a very, very simple point and click text game, but actually it is negligible, since it from a Canadian developers), and then the puzzle / text adventure trace memory (which I enjoyed, too), and now Phoenix Wright. While the other fun, Phoenix blows it out of the water with one thing: style.

I am not just the anime-inspired art. No, I’m from the energy of the scenes and the stories speak to different characters and charicatures you meet through the wonderful dialogue, the intensity of the flow of the courtroom scenes, and just the general feeling of dizziness among the suits of Phoenix and Edgeworth. < , br />
The plots are not groundbreaking, but they are of similar quality to your average Law and Order or CSI, and I personally think they are much smarter, because they know they are melodramatic and revel in their shows with kitsch and sly humor that is missing with their self-imposed seriousness.

Yes, like all text-games it is fairly linear (although sometimes hard to tell may be), and the exploration / investigation sections, where you will visit scenes and talk to witnesses / suspects drag a bit, but it is a text game, and these are typical drawbacks. But if in court, Phoenix Wright appears with energy and force, turning trial in battles to cooperate with prosecutors (the wonderful Miles Edgeworth, who I want more, whether it to see a continuation) and the witnesses (of a particular witness Chapter 3 is memorable that even a hilarious female floors Edgeworth).

These are courtroom battles over the top, with effects that seem more in line with a samurai duel as a test, but it works in a way, surprising and entertaining. For a text-adventure game, Phoenix Wright has more energy and excitement than any cookie-cutter action game out there.

And it is slow, too. The first case is short and fast, and leaves you wondering if this game is disappointingly short at the end (to the disadvantage of the trace memory when one wonders whether they are even the same genre). Nevertheless, each chapter is longer and longer to multi-day events with witnesses and investigations stretching as new facts will unfold in the courtroom. Trust me, length is not a problem if you could end what matter is it fast, just because you play it so much.

Phoenix Wright is a remake of the original GBA game for three in Japan, and hopefully this game from Capcom proves that there is a market for these things now in America, and we have every English-speaking peoples a chance Wright experience. C’mon, give it a play through. It is worth recording, and as long as you do not mind reading, and how entertainingment, and are not daunted by the idea of playing a lawyer in a courtroom melodrama, you’ll love it.

If you have never played a game like this, so the title is to try. It is better than any I have ever experienced, and I can not recommend highly enough as one of the best games on DS, period.

  3. Just my 2 cents to an already red-hot-reviewed title, add a few more clues, was added as well was this game:

1 After the sale by the first floor, holding copies of the game Capcom costs. Uproar from the gaming community was created, and existing copies started selling for 2-3 times the SRP announced in online auctions from Capcom that they ship more copies.

2 At E3, there was a trailer for a sequel reveals Phoenix Wright on the DS, the sequel to the original game in Japan but is titled in the U.S. as “Justice for All”.

; If you are written for unconventional games with quirky charm, this is a fun title, to sit back, relax and laugh with you.

  4. The serenity, romance, humor and fun in this game is not afraid of stupendous (surprisingly large, wonderful). It has a certain nostaglia to it with a new version of the adventure / puzzle genre.

You Think of all the games that consume our time back in the day, like King’s Quest , Police Quest and Leisure Suit Larry and put him in the order of studies, evidence and investigations, with hints of a role-playing, adventure, and text and you will be at Anime Phoenix Wright land.

His concept seems retro, but it really is like nothing you’ve never played. The star of the show is Phoenix Wright, a lawyer who is new to the scene, and must prove worth to the Fey & Co. law offices.

In his first case, you must take in a murder case, as the defendant’s lawyer. In court you have to prove that the court the defendant has not Quilty “cross-examination by witness statements. Your goal is to find errors and contradictions in the statements made by referencing evidence and statements before. You can ‘press’ them on anything they say so that they open up more to worry about her testimony or to confess them more information.

The game is not all but, after winning your first case you will be at the crime scenes explore, walk, talk to witnesses and evidence available to make your own for your next event. Think of law and order, but you will be handling both sides of the coin. Sure, it’s a detective, but he is a bit too slow-witted and fast , in order to draw false conclusions.

This is where you come in to investigate further all the missing gaps that do not fill the detective, you can use in the investigation to prove your innocent defendant give later in court and to the Court of clarity about what actually happened. He plays like a puzzle / adventure game, that you have take in information and evidence and present it at the right time (up to a certificate object, a contradiction to prove or to trigger an event in an investigation) to continue progressing in the game. These items are recorded and stored in your court.

This game plays more like an interactive comic book, and the is definitely not a bad thing. Most of the time will be spent reading text, I would say this will take up to 75% of the game. This does not mean the game score, because each one for Hurt), the game has a large history is around every corner and two fascinating) the interaction between the characters is often funny and sometimes not at all dry. It reads like a quality written script for a comic book or TV show.

The next 25% is the interaction, the ability to choose the correct option, or to present evidence at the right moment of the game. This interaction is with the story fits seamlessly and appropriately with the DS. There is the pin for the strong production of evidence used in your court record and investigate crime scenes.

There is one good reason why this makes most people, the top ten DS list.

Graphics: 3 5 of 5 Although this game only by Anime-esque stylings of still-life characters that are only slightly lower than animated backgrounds are static, is to help the graphics still carry the story. It looks like the stuff easily animated, interactive comic. The character of art is well drawn and each character changes looped animations together on their current mood. However, the graphics may be only on a lesser system as the GBA shown. Perhaps the graphics have been slightly revised and expanded version for the DS. The only real thing that separates them from a GBA title, the use of stylus and its length.

Sound: 4 of 5, good use of sound effects and the use of music to add tension and drama to the game.

    Gameplay: 5
    Story: 5
    Replay value: 3
Total: 4 5 A must for DS owners.

  5. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a fun game. It’s that simple.

Graphics (4 out of 5): I would say the graphics are on par with most DS games. It could be better, but did not withdraw it from the gameplay. They are fun and in the same vein as games such as jump and under the knife.

Audio (2 of 5): The sound is where the majority of DS games fall short. I am satisfied with the graphical capabilities of the DS, because quite simply do not make the graphics a good game. Sure they help, but the gameplay is really the entertainment were located. It is to know that Nintendo has kept them top of the handheld market. I only wish that the DS a little more power behind it was for the sake of audio. I want characters speaking during an entire game, especially a game like this. And the music is so repetitive, it was so annoying that I found myself straight back off the sound completely. I think they do the best for them, what they have to work, but in this case, it is simply not good enough.

Gameplay (5 out of 5): What is the gameplay concerns, you could not ask for a much better experience. You are in the role of Pheonix Wright, who made his first attempt of the defense of his best friend, has been accused of the murder of his girlfriend. Finally, we move on to other cases and on the way you need to use evidence in court to get your defenses are working suppport. The characters are interacting over the top and a lot of fun. This is a text-based game, and I suppose you might have a fan of the genre in order to be truly appreciated. But it is a simple pick up and play the game that my attention from start to finish instead. I really had trouble Putting It Down. While a game like jump was a little monotonous and then fell more on memorization of common sense in question. Phoenix will be the loser in this field and logic rather plays a role in solving the cases. I recommend this game!
