This is a great game and deserves much more recognition than he received. I have both Rock Band 1 and 2 for the Wii as well, and loved both of these games far more than any previous entry in the Guitar Hero series. This latest iteration is really something special, especially if you play on the Wii. Here are some good things about this game:
on all consoles:
* Soundtrack: Several posts have embarked on the soundtrack for this game, and I do not really understand why. The song selection is great. Granted, I imported all the available songs from Guitar Hero: World Tour and Smash Hits, so maybe that improves the setlist. . . and I also have many songs to download. But that said, the tracks on the disk are large. Please, before you take these assessments at face value, you look at the track list for this game. . . There are some really good songs. Granted, I honestly do not like the Rock Band 2 track list better (but I have over 150 downloadable songs in Rock Band 2 .. And honestly, that some songs on Rock Band GH5 on …). . . take a look but the set list for yourself before you judge this game!
* Party Play Mode – This is a really cool feature, and with some improvements in future games, it could be surprising. In essence, once the game starts, etc. rather than to a game mode, the selection of a song player. . She is one of the fret buttons and jump in what song started playing in the background. You can choose a rocker, etc.. . but essentially straight start in playing a song! If you do not like the song, you can skip to the next or a different song. The game mechanics for Party Play mode is great for parties (DUH!). If you ever had friends to play Rock Band or Guitar Hero, you know what a pain it can be to actually get into playing. . . . everyone takes FOREVER selection of a song that Rocker game as they want, etc.. . . This is a quick and easy way to get directly into the game with your friends. You can drop in and out as they like () with no effect on all other games, so it is ideal for groups of friends. When one is tired or wants to get a beer, he can jump, and someone else can take his place! Also, there are none in this mode, and there is even a beginner difficulty (more on that later). . .
* Beginner Level – finally! A mode in which a toddler can even play! Literally! If you play in fast games, party (and some of the other modes I would expect to play), there is a difficulty even called even lower than Easy Beginner. There are no colors to look after the federal government. . . You simply strum at the right time. This is a really cool feature. I’ve had a few friends as well as children, that have a hard time grasp the concept of holding the correct fret button (s strummed) and have the same time. Beginner mode is foolproof! =) Yesterday I was jamming along with a 4 years old! And he did actually save on the amount to me if I’m not on Expert Drums! This is a really nice touch added.
* Song imports: You can see some (and eventually most of the import) of on-disc songs from Guitar Hero: World Tour and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits for cost almost nothing (like me $ 6 to import all the songs). So, the day I brought GH: I grew up 5 home imported all available songs, and now my library of around 160 songs. This means, plus future DLC this game a nice addition to my already expansive rock band will be added!
Nintendo Wii-specific features:
; * Advanced functionality SD Card: Guitar Hero 5 use the first Wii game, the enhanced functionality is added to make SD to Wii. What does this mean? With games such as Rock Band 2, you were limited, for only with standard SD cards (maximum size of 2 GB) to store songs downloaded. With this being the case, lowered Rock Band (like Guitar Hero World Tour) the quality of the downloadable songs, and removed the album cover to reduce the file size so the number to download songs, songs we could maximize. Starting with GH5, however, we can use high capacity SD cards up to 32GB. Long story short: Guitar Hero 5 is the first game on the Wii takes advantage that the large SD cards, effectively adding a “hard” on the Wii. You no longer have to 2GB SD card swap back and forth (before, I had saved a 2GB card for Virtual Console and WiiWare games and a separate 2GB SD card that Rock Band songs to download). The process is elegant and seamless. . . . and just works! The only complaint I have is that you can not preview songs you have stored on the SD card. . . so when you select a song to play when you songs that stress plays on the hard drive, a short preview. If the song is saved on your SD card, it does not preview. But, I can live with that, given the fact that I easily save 800 + downloadable songs on a single 32 GB SD card now!
* Roadie Battle Mode – a long story short , this mode allows a friend, a Nintendo DS has to act as a “roadie” and sabotage other players in this mode. I dont own DS, but from what I’ve heard is, this mode is fun, and easily one of the best features of the game. Check it out!
This is a really great game, and I’m glad I did not at all the negative opinions heard (I will almost passed!). I am an avid fan, Rock Band, but Guitar Hero is the first music game to take the Wii to the use of high-performance SD cards, and the possibility of import of GH: WT and SH. . . And giving away Guitar Hero: Van Halen (which has an AWESOME soundtrack !!!!!!!). . . Buy this game was a breeze. Great songs. Fun gameplay and well done. Impressive Party Co-op play and features. If you own a Wii, you should own this game. . . Period.
My Ratings:
Gameplay: 10/10
Difficulty: Varied (Everyone from grandma to the experienced hardcore Guitar Hero veterans, loads can to get the value from this game)
Presentation: 9 / 10
Lasting Value: 10/10
Total: 9 5 / 10

Guitar Hero 5 Stand Alone Software Song list consists of Classic Rock, Heavy Metal, and together some current hits. I was disappointed with her latest release, Guitar Hero Smash Hits was songs from previous GH games together. Guitar Hero 5 for me is just another disappointment. Sure there are some new features such as Party and Play Rockfest mode where you can play games min against your friends, but I like the game for his songs.
A good thing is that all the songs available to play from the start, are not required to unlock all the songs to. The graphics are still pretty much the same with some new venues, but nothing for you to blow out of your seat. Game play has a few changes that I think makes it much more user-friendly design. Star Power is individual and the note buttons look a little larger in Single Play mode. I like how a player can break their instruments and the game goes for the other players and how you can change instruments and difficulties at any time. Everyone can also choose to play the same instrument to fight instead of who’s playing what.
You can also songs of Guitar Hero World Tour and Smash Hits, that is, if you do not they already have as I do, which makes it a waste of your time. At least Acitvision can see how important do the downloadable media library and I will continue to improve on this. There were also changes made, but I think I expected something “new” from Activision for Guitar Hero, but unfortunately this is just another game with GH for a few little tricks. You will be with the new interface changes to be satisfied, but if you are playing the games to enjoy it for the song list, you will be disappointed. Activision, the “Rock ‘Guitar Hero, to find roots, first built. Like others write before the next time is mentioned a new GH game, I need a little more choosy before they buy an” impulse “as it GH is a new game.

I’m only about a quarter of the game so far, and I love it. The track list is far better than other games – they have older (early 2000s drew meaning, 90s, 80s, etc.) songs that I actually know what a big plus. Love the format and the new multi-player functions.
The only complaint I has been that where you are, as far as star power is pretty hard to determine, but I’m sure I’ll find out.
me – I am a 31-year-old married woman, not a die-hard GH-player – I have yet to pass appropriations – but I had fun with it. But I like this game, and think that others in a similar mindset is the same opinion.

This game is fun, my friend and I played it for a few hours, and we have not touched it since. Meanwhile we are still at rock band 2 almost every weekend and I’ve heard that for most of one year.
GH5 has some good songs, there are some challenges that the GH Metallica and lack of GH Van Halen and other games. It takes an hour or so to unlock all the songs and play all the venues, but more time for all challenges. It has some of the same songs as RB2, but the sounds are different, so it is not boring, and I like how GH use many notes, after a sustained note is that much more realistic. I also much prefer the GH guitar on the RB2 guitar. At first click on the flutter of drove me nuts, but now I live by it, and use this guitar in RB2. I also like it more hardness settings, and the transition from one setting is not as flashy as it is in RB2, where light and medium cakes are complete, and I could get to 100%, but then the hard part same songs would follow me in the absence after the first 30 seconds with perhaps 6%.
However, there are some drawbacks. For starters, there is need for me to say which notes and strummed on, and which are not hard to see how the scores almost exactly the same and the graphics are much smaller that in RB2, and I have more that 20 / 20 vision. In fact, the graphics are so small that my friend who had relocated much closer to the TV drum, come to see the notes. There is a 53 “TV, by the way of properly calibrated and not converged set some small, blurry. She stood with him so frustrated that she did not want to play anymore, and I do not have the game again, and this was about 2 months ago.

With the release of Guitar Hero 5 I am left to wonder if the Guitar Hero franchise to lose the final battle for the Rock Band. How graphics are easily surpasses rock band, but where there is one song list, Guitar Hero falls short. All 85 songs are a collection of B-side songs of less than stellar groups. The actual number of hits on Hero 5 are few and far between. I understand that making a set list is never all right, but if a game like rock band secures a group as big as the Beatles licensing, then you expect to find Hero, the same level of rock-star status for their release. Hero 5 feels more like a stop gap between World Tour and the upcoming Band Hero, instead of releasing a legitimate raise cash. It is easy to see why throwing Activision, in the Van Halen decided to pack for free. This game is just not up to previous versions Hero live. Let’s hope Volume Hero makes up for the disappointment of Guitar Hero 5th
