  1. Darkside Chronicles is not as good as Umbrella Chronicles.

1 ) The graphics are superior, but the satisfaction of scoring a critical hit sound is not there and that was the most satisfying part of the Umbrella Chronicles

2 ) The control is give and take, is weapon selection much easier, but grenades are not as liquid as you select them, and they have with the key instead of the Nunchuck, it is incomprehensible why they do without their fun and effective controls movement.

3 ) The explosive weapons, especially grenades and mortars, but they are useless, since all Splash Damage is implemented under pathetic.

    4) The camera, dear Christian, the camera, depending on which Developer (s) thought it would be a good idea, the camera move around the environment such as caffeine addled ten years old should be shot.

5 ) The obsession with creating a cinematic game play experience filled with frustration. For example, for no good reason the last two bosses are invulnerable, even if their health bar appears shots. Good luck, find out when ’cause chances are you are hundreds of rounds in vain for their carcasses are dump.

The cinema experience, the ruins of the other boss fights, because only their health bar emptying is not enough, you need to follow a ridiculous scripting of events and, oh yeah, even if their health bar drained it will still kill. It’s frustrating beyond words to fight against a boss, and despite the reduction of their HP to 0, because you did not run properly lose their arbitrary scripted sequence. This not only annoying, but it makes the stronger, slowly moving weapons like the RPG useless as you go kill the abitrary sequence rather than total victory.

  2. At the time of writing this review I have only beaten four or five levels, but this feels like enough to make this review so that others know a bit more about the game. First off, the graphics amazing, compared to the first game. The gameplay is about the same (it is a rail shooter, after all) (for those who do not know what a rail-shooter: a rail-shooter “is a first person perspective game that targeted cursor on the screen is. want to play this game and “Umbrella Chronicles”, use the Wii Remote by pointing out where to shoot and press the “B”. The camera moves along a predetermined path and you have no control when the camera moves. This is a “rail shooter” sums up for you). Speaking of the Wii Remote, a new feature that I noticed (and love): You are able to assign four arms to the Wii Remote D-Pad. During the game, if you have a specific weapon, will all have to do is type in that particular D-Pad direction. (In “Umbrella Chronicles”, you had to cycle through the weapons, which was time consuming and annoying.) Another thing I noticed is it seems that we no longer carry out “counter” (as in “Umbrella Chronicles”). While this is not too bad, it just means you need faster on the trigger. Also, head shots seem a little easier than in Umbrella Chronicles. “

In short, I am very happy with this game. I definitely recommend it to any fans of the Resident Evil franchise. For others who are not fans, but is looking for a good rail shooter, or opt for an overview of the Resident Evil 2 and 4 are looking for (If I remember correctly, those two Resident Evil titles at the heart of this game (like Resident Evil was to be 1 and 3 in the center of the “Umbrella Chronicles”)), this game should do it.

If you buy the game: Have fun!

  3. The first RE-person shooter game on the Wii was pretty decent, if not exactly a typical on-rails shooter. The sequel, but the UPS ante with better graphics, more cohesion to the narrative flow and an overall enjoyable experience than the first. The “Shaky-Cam”, that the issue was perceived by many reviews and previews can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. Yes, it can be irritating if you are not properly connected to the photographs because the camera starts Acing up, but on the other hand, it adds a sense of panic and realism to the experience and feel like you right in the you to action. If you stick to it, you’ll get used to it and value the package more. Another great Wii game and highly recommended!

  4. - This review contains some spoilers –

RE I checked it after five, so I feel compelled to write “The Darkside Chronicles” as well. This is a good game. Have been greatly improved visual and audio from “The Umbrella Chronicles”, and the gameplay feels solid. I was pleasantly surprised to hear all the familiar voices of Claire, Ada, Leon (RE 4 version), and Jack Krauser, as well as the excellent, orchestral renditions of the main issues, and sequences from RE 2 and Code Veronica.

However, although I was pleased to see that Capcom had RE 2 portrays the story accurately and pleasant, unfortunately the same can not be said, Code: Veronica’s content. Just as “The Umbrella Chronicles” and RE 5, before he, “The Darkside Chronicles” is another victim of Capcom, the use of creative freedoms. Gone are many of Code: Veronica Wesker’s most famous scenes such as battles with Alexia and Chris, and the scene of Alexia awakening is now collapsed and no longer features the moving “The End of the Beginning” title from the original game. Speaking of which, when Alexia was giggling and humming like a dizzy blonde? When I had finished this chapter of the game, I left asking: “What was so wrong with the original story line? Why does Capcom have to do the things that they change?” This proves that it is the RE universe is to know with different histories and modes of gameplay, Thirsk just do not know what it is to do with the series confused. However, I must admit, the creative liberties could be used in this game have been much worse (eg RE 5).

In all, despite the significant differences in Code: Veronica’s Content, ” The Darkside Chronicles “is a funny game and improves upon the foundations of its predecessor in almost every, single way. Of course I wish we had Richard Wough furious voice for Wesker and the original Code: Veronica Story, and the game was a bit short. But I can not help but feel with us how much quality radiates from this summary records of the RE series, even for an on-rails shooter.

  5. Just started playing and I notice after paying a lot of money that I made a big mistake. Do not get me wrong it is not the games fault, but no less a mistake. As a newcomer to the gaming world (but not in age) I had the great fortune of receiving the Wii for the family for Christmas last year and have loved it. My mistake was in picking RE4 as my first game. What a huge problem that now in every game I play, is and will be compared to RE4. So far nothing has come close. Sure COD3 was good (not the other tries), but still not the same. I am not entirely as a newcomer, which has a “rail shooter” game was appreciated, but now I know. For me, this type of game it is terrible. I’ve always been waiting for the little “movie intro” to the end, but it would not. I realized after a while that this was all that would happen. For those who are in the intricate details of the stories and history of the series this is just another game. But for me it was as I would have to save a game from the “discontinued” rack in the game. For a new version was missing a lot. Everything about the game felt old and dated. The graphics were good, but then all I want is to play the game. I do not care too much about the history and stories I want to just playing the game. RE4 was a great game for me, and I’m sure I can find a better one at some point, but that’s not true.
Maybe I’ll feel different, the more I play, but so far as I am really disappointed that a “new version” is so the feeling.
