I have had Grand Slam Tennis and Virtua Tennis for a day, and played it about 3 hours each. I have played tennis for years. I’m with Motion Plus.
Here’s a comparison.
Tournament Mode: Grand Slam victory of one kilometer — In Grand Slam Tennis Grand Slam to play the tour and some shows. No stupid “Shopping races” as in Virtua Tennis. This part of Virtua Tennis is very annoying. I do not want to run around a courtyard on a shopping spree and jump through arbitrary hoops to play in a tournament. This part of the Virtua Virtua was so annoying it lasted from 5 stars to 4 stars for me. Grand Slam exhibitions / mini-games are fun, while Virtua annoying. On the other hand, you can simply press the “Play” and choose “tournament in Virtua but the experience is not as crowded as Grand Slam.
Graphics: Virtua Tennis to win meter. The crowd is better and the player movement is much more realistic, the players style. Grand Slam graphics are more cartoonish but the announcer and the angles and replays it’s more like participating in a game, while in the watch television… The presentation is not to make them better in the better for Virtua movement and detail.
speed of the game: Virtua Tennis of one kilometer. Your character moves more realistically tempo and the game is just a fun, fast action pace.
Controls: Grand Slam of one centimeter: Grand Slam The controls are easy to master. Virtua Checks have less tolerance for error. You need the training lack the trainer with Virtua any advanced shots master, even then the drop leaves shot with me to the controller to smash! Grand Slam’s topspin, backspin, and fade are true real tennis, while serving Virtua’s, praise and Dropshot are much more true. Grand Slam allows you to “cheat” a little help with the nunchuck with your crosscourt winner, while requiring Virtua, that it perfectly nail. While I Virtua efforts to appreciate my intentions do not often translate, but I suppose it is true in real tennis.
Overall experience: a tie. Really. I guess Virtua’s pace and efforts to control realism, but the Grand Slam and get Top Spin back spin perfectly almost… and that’s a huge part of a real tennis player game. Grand Slam, you can cheat with the A button for a lob and B, for a drop shot and the nunchuck for Cross Court slams. Virtua has big smash and lob realistic controls, but the drop shot is just too hard and ambitious. The tennis stars are in Virtua more power and wider. Grand Slam stars gives you classic and current stars. Virtua the graphics are killer, but the career mode is like throwing Jar Jar Binks in Star Wars… annoying and disturbing. I want to play tennis, not the Sims! Both of room for improvement, but for a high-quality virtual tennis experience both suggest the “plug and play” Wii Sports. Both require to learn a little patience. I will come again, both for different reasons. 5.4 for Grand Slam. Note: I originally Virtua 4.5 stars. After the game is more to see my warning below! And now I have to say, if you buy just going to one, grand slam. are
Edit after the game, both for about 1 week: I can not get to play a game with Virtua Nunchuck. It is to be played with the remote control. If you have a souped up games, fast-paced version of Wii Sports tennis, this is for you. If you play a game with the nunchuck that thinking requires anticipation and strategy to play Grand Slam tennis . If I could re-evaluate after a week of Virtua Tennis. I’d give it a second 5 or 3 stars. If I could re-evaluate Grand Slam after a week, they would get a 5-star rating.

See video here: http://www. Amazon. com/review/R4FGVJSTAC470 Virtua Tennis is a great game on so many levels. The nice thing is that you only take, without reading them and play a set of instructions and still have a lot of fun, or you can create a character and really get into the games and tournaments and move in the ranks. I played the game first without the Wii Motion Plus yesterday and it was fun, but if the Motion Plus arrived today, I found I have more control over my bat and the way I made the ball also makes it easier, slice-and- Drop lob shots, shots, or smash to take the ball. You must physically a backhand or forehand position exactly the ball you have to turn and twist your body as you would in a real game. It makes the whole experience that much more realistic.
I loved the Wii Sports tennis, and spent hours and hours to play, but always wished there was more to it. Virtua Tennis is the answer to my prayers. First off, the graphics really beautiful. You have to play a choice of places like New York, Paris, Melbourne and others. The players look and move like real people. Not that I’m knocking the cute Mii’s but you know what I mean. There are a lot of characters if you only want to play online games to choose, or you can create your own career in the World Tour to start. Select to start a basic character and then refine their eyes with a whole bunch of different options. You actually have quite a little control over the way they look and this “I” looks like a real person. Then you have to train a number of options and develop your player and enter tournaments all over the world, while you (hopefully!) To move in the rankings, pushing the number to be 1.
included in this game is the Tennis Academy, where you can catch up with techniques and learn how to operate, strokes and footwork. You can choose what you want to work. You can make your character the ability and style of play more or unlock by changing various missions Tennis Academy. You can be helped by the global challenges map to improve your game skills.
Other options are contests where you can play, is the practice or sponsorship matches. In sponsoring games you can prize money, which you can use the tennis shop for more clothes, racquets, court starts and gain buy all kinds of things. There is only one of the little things, things that add to the realism of the game.
There are also some games in the jurisprudence of the World Tour Mode, with names like “Alien Attack, Avalanche, Court Curling and mnay more. The ones I tried seemed to just kind of goofy and I’m more interested in playing tennis, so I tried really not many of them yet. There are also online play, where you can play games with friends, or who has the game and is online. Imagine coming from work to home at night and in a game with a friend on the other side of the country. Or with a normal Saturday morning tennis game with a child away at college or a friend in another country.
This game is great fun, even if you’re not a child or whether you are a 60-year-old one was like me. My reason for buying a Wii Practice makes perfect, fun, and it is just that. It will give you and move on, and it is realistic enough that it might chance, tennis elbow, if you play long enough. If you enjoyed Wii Sports tennis, but always wanted that it was “bigger and better,” I think you’ll really enjoy this game.
Update 6/14/2009 – I am posting a video because it is difficult from the Trailer, what the game is really to see, even though it looks much better in person. It loses something when you take a picture from the TV and compress them to post here but I hope it will give you a better idea of the game and some of its properties. (I cut the scenes where I knocked the camera off the tripod, try the WiiMotionPlus, hit the “ball”)

First, I must say that the day Grand Slam Tennis used those to have been at the Wii with the old remote was released, get it did not say how to use the new Motion Plus or thought it was broken and there were a few stars. Gradually, all these voices have been changed, as people realized that it user error because it really is like the phase-one bike and learn to ride a bike and thought it will be the same. Now the game is almost up to five stars in only a few days. Be patient and you will be amazed.
Take time to get used to the Motion Plus. If you are used only to flick your wrist and make a killer shot, as you could for the first Wii tennis games, you will soon realize that this form of care. And that’s a good thing. Like a real tennis game, like the bat and position to move and keep making a big difference mean and the Motion Plus, like magic, takes them all.
It brings realism in the game of tennis.
Give it a day and you will see how enormous is the Motion Plus.
I said agree with TBE other reviewers, you need to do, the training section to explain the master controls. And I also agree that, as I handled it seemed easier to Grand Slam tennis. It’s worth it.
For the non-tennis buff compared to the expert: We both have in this budget. One loved the shopping mode in tournaments because it was fun there, the expert has not and just wanted pure tennis. You can turn that off, but it is a positive, if you are still learning the game or want to add a little more.
The graphics are better than in this Grand Slam. Grand Slam of the players are a bit like Speed Racer cartoons. . . You who they are but they are not as real as this. This means more realism.
I agree that the 1:1 reaction of the Motion Plus seemed clearer in this case. We had a few problems where it seems not as the Grand Slam tennis. However, another commentator asked to write when we have an HDTV, you need either special cables or some other Wii games as you set it otherwise, the appropriate response. We knew that there seemed to be improving. Nevertheless, this seemed better from a standing position on the response when comparing one by one last night.
The cost for this game, as written this 13 June is the best buy for the latest games, the Motion Plus is compatible. However, this does not come with a MotionPlus, and it should be noted that Tiger Woods has, like the upcoming Wii Sports Resort will be. If you plan on ordering one of these games and have the Motion Plus, you’ll wind with a replacement for friends, if you buy one separately with this game. If you are thinking of getting one and do one of these games, it’s free with Sports Resort at today’s price. If you do it with the Tiger Woods game is now preserved as ten dollars more because the cost is for this game scored ten U.S. dollars a day after his release due to high demand. The moionplus was originally free in this game.
Much more with the Motion Plus control and how to make your club soooo This enables a new era in the season to play tennis and really the improve your tennis skills, because the ball, things can now completely so that you are more a part of the game than before.
so which one wins? I say this one does. My honey says the Grand Slam tennis. It comes to personal preference, I think. Honey is the expert player and I’m not if this helps your decision.
UPDATE: We have just two more votes from friends, the two tennis players. Both chose this as the best. But agreed, it was almost too close to call. She also played with and without the Wii Motion Plus for comparison (remember, it is not included with this game) and they agreed it lasted one day to master, but paid off in more realism in the end.
< br /> This is another great tennis game for the Wii. We are really glad we have them both, like making it fun to change them, and from a little variety. In contrast to the old school tennis Wii games, you’ll get out of the one a better player. . . not only easier to get to flicking your wrist a shot!
Rating: A plus as played by the Mastering Motion Plus

I played competitive tennis in my 20’s and 30’s – 4th 5.5. 0 -, which is extremely good. The Motion Plus for this game is good, but a few things about the game are so annoying it is completely un-enjoyable for me.
First to pop up on the screen that probably to help you time your shot great idea – except for the fact that pop-up conceals actually obscures / the ball, so that you can not see, it is.
; Second, the speed of the game is ridiculous. Maybe could keep up a professional athlete, but for the 99th 9% of people who want to play this game, they will not keep up.
Finally, in terms of speed of the game is so fast that you actually play with reduced arm and body movements – in essence, you use your arm and wrist (like racquetball).
Who plays tennis (and is a good in it), knows that working leg and trunk and shoulder rotation generated, what the performance, accuracy and placement of a tennis ball. This game is so fast, there is simply no way the body into a proper tennis position to move. I actually think it could harm a physical game, they play virtualized version.
In someways Wii Sports Tennis mimmicks preventing the better tennis than this game.
I am hopeful Grand Slam Tennis will be an improvement. If you have a virtual tennis game, that the physical movement of the tennis matches search, this is not.
Some will say, get over it – it is not likely to real life version of the same. I say this is what take the Wii and Wii Motion Plus franchise to be missed on and from that perspective this game.

I also bought Virtua Tennis Grand Slam Tennis in 2009 and as a pre-releases. I’m back and forth, trying to decide which I rather gone. I have not decided yet, and I thought after a month I had to be in a position to give a clear choice. Nee!
The similarities and differences are clear, however. Both games require you to calibrate the Wiimote back to the starting position before each swing again. Grand Slam Tennis requires that a full swing backwards, while in Virtua Tennis you can as you are in Wii Sports tennis and just play, you move your wrist. While I am with my stationary bike, I always prefer to play Virtua Tennis, and if I’m ready to get up and change positions I play tennis Grand Slam.
One of the best features of Virtua Tennis, Grand Slam that did not shoot, is the gauge. The shot of the package is very helpful, and almost is the argument that Virtua Tennis is better, but not simpler. This helps the player with the timing of the swing. In Grand Slam, it’s no meter, and if you do not waste your time accurate shots, the ball is going and your opponent a point (after much practice with GS win tennis though that will not happen).
speed of the game is also a big difference. Virtua Tennis is much faster and you have to react much faster. The addition of the court games are really a waste of time, however, and more frustrating than anything. The problem, if you want to play World Tour, you must complete these games. Grand Slam victories in this area easily. The court games to break the mentality of the players in my opinion.
Finally Virtua Tennis Spinning the ball does not seem to exist, while in Grand Slam is there a noticeable spin.
I would say that each on what you buy tennis game that you enjoy, since both games are high quality and give you a good workout. I can not recommend one over the other. Have fun!
