I was a little concerned about this product when I saw the other reviews. It looked like it was exactly what I was looking for, but reports of instability to me doubtful. When it arrived I got a piece of that shelf liner non-slip rubber-like material and cut two circles for each of the four feet and placed them in the four caves in the top of the riser legs. I weigh 265, and I have with the riser now for two weeks at a medium thickness carpet. It is completely stable, not at all or make noise slide. I like to do 30 minutes of free intensifying every morning, and it really a good aerobic workout. If you increase the effectiveness of your workout, try to give this riser.
20.11.2009 Update: Now I’ve had this thing for about five months. I think 4000 steps each morning for four or five days a week, works so up to 20,000 steps per week and the thing still good. It makes a little noise when I Hula-Hoop, but other than that, it’s rock solid.

I read the other reviews of this product and asked me if we were talking about the same thing. I did not find Riser stable at all. It felt like it was when you stepped onto it and you could hear, to move it. I use the Balance Board and Riser on carpet, but this is not the problem. The riser does not fit securely on the Balance Board. I wish it would have made in order to fit better.
With these words, it makes a big difference in the cardio workout you do. I used it in the advanced step aerobics and my legs are feeling.
I want to see, Wii all come with a step aerobics program.

This product does what it says it does – it throws Balance Board, which makes it four inches to the standard aerobic step height. However, it is not at all stable, it does not engage. I would have just as much certainty by the Balance Board on a pile of books on the phone. This product is an action coming our way. Please do not waste your money on this product, wait for Wii to come with something.

I have used this product after reading the reviews. It is true that the Board make a difference when stepping on and off, but it is a very slight movement. My son, who suffered 130 pounds no movement. I’m 245 pounds. I have a rubber sleeve on mine. This acts as a cushion so that the screeching sound that others are not talking about occurred. Because it folds for storage, it saves space. Over all I felt this was an OK unit for the board.
I have also tried the new riser from Everlast. This is a better raise, because she feels much more stable with all weights. In addition, 3 inches tall attached to the Wii Board, is the all makinging Step 5 1 / 2 inches. To get a better / higher step if you are as tall as I am (6 feet) are. It has its own worries. The people who developed the foot holes they made too deep. Hence the feet do not register the correct weight and movements. I resolved this by two poker chips in each of the holes. This was the right pressure on the feet and now it works great. I was no stability problems. The feet to sit deep enough. Pronounce
So my overall that both work well and both are not perfect. Choose the color that you can live with the best start and build this place from you.

To fix the wobbly nature of the riser – simply cut out circles from the drawer and shelf liner to grip it and put it into the cups. It shores up it right!
