  1. The Bad: She took out a lot of games and modes. You can basically only individual wrestling, tag, triple threat, and a few others. The season mode is essentially no storylines. You just challenge guys to the games, or they ask, to the “Legend” rank preserved. Games are very short.
The good: Graphics and weapons are cool. It’s fun with the Wii remote to do the movements (although not very different from wrestler to wrestler). The list is pretty complete. Comment by JR, King, Joey Styles, etc (but it will play repetitive).
To total fun, but I really wish to remove it does not match types and stories in season mode.

  2. As someone who has bought any THQ wrestling game that I had for years, eagerly anticipating the latest release. Unfortunately, after the game I was left with a feeling of disgust instead.

The game is full of errors. In the 24 / 7 mode, which ignores the play of the season mode, more often than not the decisions you make are represented. For example, at one point I was asked if I want to give the WWE title. I refused. However, the game responds as if I had chosen the opposite – and the story forward, as I would have given up the belt. This breakdown happens again and again in numerous places in the game. I can not believe something like this made it past the play-testers.

Other bugs include the lack of pyro on individual approaches to creating wrestlers. You can choose to Pyro as part of your input if you will design, but to struggle when you come out it just does not activate. Again, I do not know how something like this managed to make it in the game.

Have also set aside the bugs, 24 / 7 Mode is pretty lousy. The cut-scenes shows that are open is often meaningless in terms of what meant to happen in history. For instance, your character is funny with a wrestler he was in a bitter feud with chat. to plan at first glance, the ability, your wrestler whole week could not only play the games seems like a fun concept. But it quickly becomes boring (although players, like the general manager mode in the previous games, it might be better than I like doing).

The game is long load times, which often increases frustration of the 24 / 7 mode afflicted. The selection of one of the non-playable options such as participation in an autograph session (something that is what no animation of any kind – an image only appears on the screen, along with a message that you know how much force you gained popularity rating) to you endure more loading time.

In general, the new control was acceptable. However, it does not seem to be a manual control to change your wrestler’s focus when in a game against several opponents. In theory, it is automatic. But in practice, the auto focus is terrible, which means that you often on a wrestler when intending to stay a further attack concentrated. This can lead to a lot of headaches when you turn from a downed opponent rather than a permanent one blow, but at the end of the implementation of an Elbow Drop.

For some reason each wrestler now fewer moves than in previous games in the series. I do not know why they would reduce your number of moves, but they did. Well, if you have a strong argument, you have the possibility of 8 regular monitoring and two moves, while moves were in the opening game of last 16 regular moves, and I think 4 Control moves. I just meant next-generation technology, they could include more material in the games, not less. . .

Flaws in the last game are still present. For example, in a “Last Man Standing” match, the referee will not start until the count is his downed wrestler not get up – unlike in ‘Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain “, was where the already count, ref and the wrestlers could be able to get up in time to play the Count. This may seem a small point, but for me it is completely ruined the drama of the game if the ref only counts when you’re going to win. Imagine if they made the pinfall. No further two points – only one game counts or not at all. Certainly falls in the vicinity (or in one case of a “Last Man Standing” match) are an important part of a pro-wrestling?

Some match types which are currently in the earlier series (eg slobberknocker were, and 3 on 3 tables and “Hell in a Cell” games) are no longer available. should once again I do not see the logic in removing options in improving the technology take over “, instead of the space for more options. If you try to play a diva, the situation is even worse. While back in ‘Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth “They could play any type of game, now they are severely limited in that they can do.

The comment is on the whole extremely weak. Most of the time JBL sounds like he idle reading from the sheet when they recorded, even without looking really, what he said. Much of the dialogue is taken directly from the last game, and it quickly becomes repetitive. They could at least in the more-play-by-play (eg “DDT”, “Brutal Power Slam!”) to pad it out and make it seem a little less barren.

There is no option to keep music on the PS3 import version, as described on the Xbox 360 version. I do not see why this should be the case. If anything it should be reversed because the PS3 has a hard drive as standard – while the Xbox does not. So, if you like I would have hoped, the use of “King of Kings” as Entrance Theme, or any other track that are not in the game, you will be disappointed.

These are the problems most immediately sprang to mind, although I am sure there are many others that I neglected to mention. appear to be THQ be lazy with this series. They know that the fans buy the title every year of hope and habit so that they are inclined not seem to put much work in game design more.

  3. Originally, I thought as I played this, read reviews and pre-hand, “Wii users are on” screwed, and after the game, the Xbox 360 version, I can definitely confirm this.

With every great step forward, the WWE seems to be in terms of its new games, they always slip succeed in entering the field of next-gen consoles and completely touch, but this time it is inexcusable. Match types are quite literally Singles, Hardcore, Triple Threat, Day and Last Man Standing Match. And to think that you have table matches, ladder matches, Cage matches, TLC matches, and Hell in a Cell Matches in Day of Reckoning 2 (Nintendo version of its predecessor in 2005).

The list is quite large, but still sparse in a way that it missed some of the most promising young talents, and instead holds several superstars long from the company, including Sabu, Sandman, Chris Masters ( forgivable, since he was gone just a week or two hours), Shad Gaspard and JTG (Who? Cryme Tyme. Oh yeah, found the racist joke funny Steph) and King Booker T.

; Conspicuously from the roster without equal Brian Kendrick and Paul London, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are missing, Hornswoggle, Deuce and Domino, viscera (Big Daddy V), Matt Striker, Balls Mahoney, Kevin Thorn, The Miz (thank God), Hardcore Holly, Little Guido (Nunzio), etc.

The Create a Wrestler mode is unchanged, fortunately, with a variety of options to a lot of your Day of Reckoning and Day of Reckoning 2 CAS and over again, with better graphics. Female wrestlers have, by a separate mode (if identical) called “Create a Diva” mode humiliated.

Storyline mode in the game is called ” Main Event “and consists mainly of joining either raw or smackdown (ECW, because apparently it is not worth joining) and receiving a random challenge by SMS (not a joke. Umaga’s message for you: RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! And Subtitle: I’ll kill you with their own game. a hell of a language that Samoa. subtlty Full). You start out weak, no matter what you choose, Superstar, and have the points to spend training, and receiving “massages” to relieve fatigue. You need to do this after every match, otherwise a fresh start games with the same level of fatigue you had last week (because in the crazy world of the WWE, perfect weeks as seconds).

< , br /> If you help God, to a finely crafted wrestler with the best moves available, or a qualified high-flying / technicians. In true WWE fashion as with John Cena and The Great Khali, you have only moved about 5 selectable. The rest are preset, based on what wrestling style, how to select your superstar. There is no way to select the traits of beatings do, kicks, etc. And the move-list is available flimsier and less than Wrestlemania X8 is. The only good air strikes, a moonsault and two versions of the Swanton bomb, both equally sloppy and breaking his neck in a position when the game is to not make the last moment.

< br /> Not that you really need to get your movements a lot. In the ring, almost all of the action revolves around the same system as WWF Warzone and WWF Attitude, just shortened considerably: Beat your opponent down until their health bar drops into the red. As soon as the red, you can your finisher as often as you want. While warzone and attitude had several layers of health bars to beat through it, one has only one half, which means can be a game to end in literally two minutes or less with enough punch, and three or four finishing moves in a row. The WWE should be ashamed then this, have they removed the timer shows how much time there in the game — you’ll be counting your responses in milliseconds.

Typical problems already complained about not including running. The control is actually quite funny, but also the game completely fumbles that mess. The only way to punch and kick and dropkick etc is to swing your remote around, and the only way to counter a movement will do the exact same MOVE than your opponent at the exact same time to their AS! (This is easier than it sounds, as the only real movement is exactly the same way: Hold A and B and swing in any direction), then repeatedly hitting R will do nothing for you. Minor also be moved by swinging repeatedly done in a way. The manual does not bother you for this detail, and the play of the instructions on the screen can be vague, or simply not there. For example, there is seemingly no way an opponent when preparing to release a Death Valley Driver-like maneuvers. Swinging in each direction just to spin your character like a retarded Top

I think that about covers this latest WWE abortion. The same type of action you get down on WWE TV these days, watered-tight and inexplicable controlled, almost impossible to reverse system, dirt-poor story mode to run incompetence, and most damning of all, a health-bar system of struggle, leading to all but the most damaging moves and a finishing move obsolete. Why bother, Irish Whip an opponent to move or use a soaring, if you just punch the shit out of them until they go red, then you do nine or ten finishers in a row on them for a PIN? The average length of match for me so far has about a minute and a half has been. If I manage the AI in a semi-decent match work, this can be as much as five minutes or a little more stretch.

    Total failure.

  4. This is one of the worst games I’ve ever played. I was forced to go back to my PS2 to the 2007 versions to play. They have the same motion over and over and over and over again. The trains are not very good to create in the manual mode and said was terrible. You are not able to preview the movie, entrance song, and input is set in motion.

Do not buy this game, you will regret it.

  5. Even if a lot is from 2008 from last year’s Smackdown vs. Raw versionWWE recycled in 2007, most WWE fans will enjoy the ride.

    The good:
< br /> Great Visuals: Detailed entrance themes and realistic wrestling moves and finishers.

Story Lines: The 24 / 7 mode, which is a career mode offers many entertaining stories and surprises. I will not spoil it by listing all of them here, but in Smackdown career, you can participate in a Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match to see who gets a case with film contract.
< , br /> Wide variety of terms: The most match types are here from last year, but also many ECW-style matches are added, such as RULES ECW Hardcore match, where one new variety of objects, such as kendo sticks and flaming tables.

Replay Value: With a long 24 / 7 Careeer mode, you can always come back and do it all over again like a wrestler from another brand to different storylines. There is also a Legends mode, which reminds me of Madden 08 Superstar Mode, where you can experience some of the greatest moments WWE’s and make them on your own: Use Stone Cold to Bret Hart defeated and even enter Royal Rumble Shawn Michaels # to win an item and try the whole thing on the hardest setting.

Skill Improvement: Unlike last year where you only play from week to week, in which you moved here every day. You can spend your days, just chilling, always quiet, or you can use it to improve your skills or try to make money, make a film or compete in a training excerise. However, too much physical activity land you an injury and fatigue.

Roster: A huge roster with most of today’s superstars, and even some that no loger in WWE: Cryme Tyme and even TNA Booker T’s are filled in the line-up as well. Hall of Fame unlockables are: breat Hart, Anvil Neidhart, Rick Rude, Mick Foley, The Rock and many more. Oh, and of course join ECW wrestlers as well.

    The Bad:

Audio: While some voices are realistic, some voice-acting generic-voiced actors have performed. I swear that both JBL and Joey Styles are both voiced by the same voice-over. Many wrestlers do not like to sound at all!

Load times: I have played this on my new PSP Slim and improve during the loading times seem, when I played on the 2007 version on the classic PSP, the load times still feel a bit annoying if you want to do a quick action.

unrealistic: some wrestlers act out their Kayfabe wrestling character. I’m running around 24 / 7 mode with Kane and while some storylines, he would shake off stage, hands, smile and tell jokes, which seem out of the Kane character. They should be a separate plot lines for “Monster / heel” characters that have made speak only rarely.

Bottom Line: If you’re a wrestling fan, it will be hard to dodge this title. But even if you’re not a wrestling fan, this will still be worth a look if you like fighting games.
