It’s always sad when a great historical game franchise comes to the end of the road. But it is depressing to see sadly, this has in this state.
KANE in Disneyland?
The graphics are ridiculous. While EA has been steering the C & C franchise direction. . . cartoon direction since the Red Alert 3 installment. But the RED ALERT series was always playful. Even so, what was scarcely fit for RED ALERT game is downright insulting to a Tiberium one.

One of the most annoying features of the new C & C 4 is the CAP units. You can not produce more units on a (very small) number. Update your tech-tree with such a device in cap space means that to kill you, and replace most of your equipment – and painful decisions, as some units are more equal than others. It feels like dealing with a (small) Diablo-like inventory: what does not fit in the grid must be left behind to rot.
And to make matters worse, additional units with a pipette awarded. A tiny.
This smells like a cap: an attempt, this series into a massively multiplayer online game (fewer units in turn means less delay). And no one seems to respect that this removes one of the most fun tactic in a C & C took game: tank rush.

A Command & Conquer game without the harvest? It could be a RTS game in any name (and there are groundless been RTS games), so they have a C & C game? Well, I’m with the most important statement I think of this game can begin, “If it is not broke, do not fix it!”
I was soooooo looking forward to the completion of this great game, so I hurried home to install it and then jump back into the Tiberium Wars. . . BUT. . . . . . What are they thinking !!!!! EA messed up one of my favorite game formats and replace them with some kind of monster! You hang up units, not Tiberium harvesting and a confusing game console layout! Half the time I was trying to find out what the hell was going on and yelling at my screen!
If you are looking for a great game. . . . . . . KEEP beat! This was one of the biggest disappointments I’ve tried to play in a long long time! EA should be ashamed!

Requires a persistent Internet connection at all times. I repeat, you have to play on a constant Internet connection 100% of the time. If you are interrupted, the game does not work anymore. They are from this game on a laptop, can vary its Wi-Fi connectivity will be blocked. You can play this game on a drive, or at an airport or airplane, or anywhere else where there are no uninterrupted broadband Internet connections 100% of the time.
The above restrictions for both Single and multiplayer modes. In addition, the game will be locked into a single account. The customer is abuse at its finest.
Here’s what it says on the back of the box (in very, very small print):
“Persistent Internet connection, EA account, registration is required with the included serial code, and the acceptance of the End User License Agreement to play around.”

I have a die-hard fan of the C & C franchise has come since the first game from so many years. This “last” game has the old system of basic construction and great story / characters, me and my friends went in and threw it aside for this new strategy garbage Executive taken. It is not very far from what was C & C, its usually just a bad game. The only way to beat many missions will use the co-op system, as you otherwise numerically far inferior and maneuvered by the computer. Gone are the days of the base building and resource management, two parts of the C & C franchise, which made what it was. The current development in the story is ridiculous (with the sole exception of Kane, which brings in about the same great performances from past games).
Overall, I’m really hoping the ghost surface of Westwood can find another time in the future and a way to end this series with dignity. I know the Gripes about DRM and Internet connectivity things (read below), but as a genuine fan C & C at heart, I can not imagine a worse way to die for this great series.

The manufacturer says, this game started as a skunk works project unnamed, and it shows. At some point, even after all the game mechanics had been introduced, the decision was made to make this CnC4. This game is not Command and Conquer. Who would have thought that threw the game mechanics characteristic of CNC was a good idea? Lets throw the economy. Lets throw the base building. Let’s try to make Dawn of War type game. It’s just too bad. Here is the long story short: If you are your old school Command and Conquer, you do not like this game. You can not build a decent army. Really bad record for Command and Conquer. Just sad. There is nothing to see, move along. Toss a flower on command and conquered the grave, EA has buried them. Oh, I almost forgot the best part! Do you over-intrusive DRM that you are using the Internet to be connected at any time, or you can not play calls? You got it! Defective by design. Save your money for a decent game.
