My first impressions review of the Razer Naga was pretty bleak. Since I made with a Logitech G7 for the years before, felt the Naga clunky at best and left the total absence of any rebinding key support for a mouse for MMO use only scratch my head tell me. In the days following this initial review of the Wave Team Naga I saw a comment (as in the comments section of this review) that they intend to use the later with an upcoming driver release address. A few months later, as he had promised, version 2 0 results. . . and it hit hard!
Before I get to all this, let me address the ergonomics. As I mentioned, at first I felt this mouse very bulky. Now, months later, I could not have been wrong. When she said, this mouse for long gaming sessions with minimal hand fatigue was designed meant that it. My only real complaint in this department is about button placement. No, no, not the 12-key pad thumb. . . These are perfect! My beef is with the two additional buttons index finger, which for me are, at best, awkwardly placed and at worst completely useless.
But lets cut the nonsense when you read this, you are only interested one and only one is. . . the 12 keys on the side of this bad-boy.
I will be the same to you, first it is embarrassing as hell, and comes with a bit of learning curve. Do not expect this mouse to get to the top and some kinda of button-pressing of Mozart morning. Now, months after my purchase I am still any doubt about me from time to time upon reaching the 8 and 9 keys, mainly because I do not use it in very many games. As I mentioned earlier in this post, they are positioned so that I have no question at all reached a button (although 11 and 12 need a funky move that can accurately mess with my cursor.)
The 2nd 0 drivers also brought two more features, like a bit of a surprise came to me. . . Profiles and macros! The profiles are exactly what one would expect, and although very simple in their functionality, the macros are to get the job done nine times out of ten. If you are familiar with the Logitech G15 or Nostromo N52, you know what I’m talking about. If not, well, it is little more than pre-recorded keystrokes with user-defined delay between them. Nothing special, but far from useless.
Care Well, the question of rebindable key was, I struggle to even find something wrong with this mouse made.
If I absolutely had to give it a con, hmmm. . . I suspect it requires a little more attention than other mice to keep clean. Many key means lots of places to build. Fortunately, the fit / on this mouse is strong enough that cleanup a breeze is ready.

Edit: I’ve stopped playing WoW so much and have been before with other types of games recently. Now that the buttons of this mouse is remapped can be good every game. It can be great for shooters, because I weapons without the F-keys to reach swap. I’ve grown to appreciate as it is ergonomic. It fits my hand perfectly. I am quite used to the button placement, and can hit the right one, without thinking. Razer was right that it takes 15-20 hours, until it becomes second nature. I have noticed that for my short fingers, only 9 of 12 thumb buttons easy to reach. I try to put the less important functions in the top row.
As an avid WoW player I am always on the lookout for mice with more buttons . MOAR! Most mice are limited to 5 mappable keys that my fingers can actually achieve. Some do CRAM more buttons on the mouse, but put them in awkward positions, which are only practical for rarely used functions. I had high hopes for the SteelSeries WoW mouse of the mark, but it badly and the thumb buttons are hard to press built individually, without fat fingering on the Next button. I wanted a different mouse was how the 3D Sandio but it is far too big for my hand. Plus, the good hat switch for the movement but not so good for the assignment to four different functions. I’ve been using Logitech MX series mice have 8-9 mappable keys. These are comfortable and the software is very flexible, as the buttons are assigned. I have been pleased with them, but I’m always looking for more.
Enter the Razer Naga. I thought that was a joke when I first saw the Photoshop image. But they really have a cell phone-style set on the thumb side for a total of 17-key keyboard. What is surprising they have done so and the mouse a reasonable size and with all but one button to reach easily finger. The mouse feels very high quality. It is very comfortable with good feel. The scroll wheel is the most beautiful I have ever used. It is clear that Razer makes great effort into creating a functional design, not just something that looks good in the box. My only complaint about the physical aspect, that it is fairly easy.
Is the thumb buttons take getting used to and I’m still working on it. I am not going with him out of the box raid, because I do not want that people die. But even after playing around a little while I have to improve in battlegrounds and I can say that the muscle memory will build up rapidly until it feels natural – just like with a keyboard or gaming pad. Thoughtfully includes Razer on rubbery nubs, you can set as a tactile reference points in order to stay in the train. Razer claims 88% of players are playing to full hour to 18 hours.
The Windows driver is simpler and less flexible than I had expected. The thumb buttons map to either the number row above the keyboard or the right number pad. The 5 most important keys map to the default Windows Left / Right / Middle / Back / Forward actions. There are no custom button mapping. Razer awaits you for a game-use interface to map your actions to the fixed keys. This is good for WoW, but could be a restriction on other games.
Razer provides a custom WoW addon that is available [. . . ]. It’s just a branded version of dominoes – an established add-on. It is good that Razer licensed something fully functional and well tested, rather than create something new that would probably not be as good. I am unable to use it, but since it conflicts with Bartender4. There is no need to use the BP Razer mouse is acting only as 12-key keyboard. Since the default is that the card is only 12 numbers above the keyboard, you could just use standard WoW action bars and keybindings with zero configuration.
If it is not clear now, I think this is a great product. I have a mouse like this for 5 years and has been waiting Razer delivered

As a Mac Gamer (is it an oxymoron?) I play a lot of World of Warcraft. I had previously considered the SteelSeries mouse moved, but once he tried it in the store I found it very inconvenient to use (lots of sharp edges) and hard to use (hypersensitive buttons difficult to access). Topping that off, they offer no OS X driver (booo Steel Series).
I was thrilled to hear from Razer, adding an MMO Gaming Mouse. I had always thought that was kind of Razer design uses minimal or old-fashioned with a lot of Microsoft mice. That was until I tried a Mamba in a local store and realized how comfortable and were designed well. So I put in my pre-order for the Naga and got it yesterday.
In particular, the mouse is smaller than you think. The pictures make it look so if there really is massive no larger than a traditional mouse. is the additional space on the left side for the 12-key pad it a more ergonomic (sorry left handed). The second and 4 Rows of keys have a raised ridge helps the thumb of the search for the right button. So far I have only used a few options in the first two rows, but I can just push all the 12 keys at the end of the thumb for the first two rows and the “knuckle” of my thumb for the bottom two rows.
By default, these buttons duplicate the number keys 1 through = on top of your keyboard. You can switch between them so that they duplicate instead of the numeric keypad. By using them as part of the standard, the old control panel for extra cash rows. I play a rogue and have the standard assigned to bar most commonly used actions and the actions assigned to my old number to my second lesser used actions.
The dpi and polling rate can be easily set by the driver to a very high 5600dpi 1000Hz and polling. Since I am not in a FPS gaming situation, which I do not really use, high spec, but it makes for a smooth operation of the mouse. I look forward to the standard run-1800dpi.
The mouse itself is very comfortable. There is a shiny texture on the sides and a rubbery consistency to the top. It feels soft and natural in my hand. Click the buttons are solid and not so sensitive that it accidentally. The Teflon feet are nice and the mouse glides very smoothly on my wooden desk. I have not bought a mousing surface for even more.
I am very impressed by their attention to detail to the packaging. Razer knows what they do and do it well.
So my Pro is the summary:

12 button keypad is unusual but well done and usable
Cool blue lights (if you do not you like a light with the mouse, you can disable this)
For the con my first this is a wired mouse. I have not used a wired mouse in 10 years, I think. It’s strange the way back. Of course it is a well-designed mouse with a braided cable. I wish it was still wireless.
The lights below the 12-keypad make it warm the surface. Not too hot, but you will definitely some extra heat.
The other reviewer mentioned feel Bartender4 compatibility. I admit I do not use, but I am reluctant to use the addons, if they remove the default UI bar at the bottom of the screen. At the moment I am using easy as 1 bar = number up and am very pleased with it. I can try the addon soon, but I really am with my current UI Addons and happy and do not want to change it.
Note that you can not assign macros or assign different keys to the keypad 12 in the mouse driver. They are either duplicate the numerical number or the numeric keypad on your keyboard.
Finally, if you use the side buttons on your actual mouse (mouse button 4 and 5) take getting used to this as They are located at the upper left-hand edge of the left button. This frees your thumb up for the 12-keyboard, but means that you, with your index finger to hit them instead. They have a solid click, to avoid inadvertent. Shoves

I do not normally get here and write. . . I’m usually too busy between a full-time job, a full RAID schedule and other things going on, but after reading some of these posts I felt the need for this post. This mouse is absolutely wonderful. It feels very comfortable and all buttons are accessible. It is a bit of a learning curve with the first use. My advice is bound to start small, three of the number keys first and then as soon as this down, add three more. You will have to all twelve side buttons in no time.
In those users who are under configuration problems here reference is a simple solution: I do not think to use the Razer addons, although I think they are very similar Bartender4. You can bind the arms to each spell / action you need by simply using either the in-game Wow mapper (on the Start menu) or download the addon Bindpad, pull the interface and profit.

I can not give it to praise the Razer Naga enough. I’ve been a PC gamer since the beginning of the home PC’s in the middle of the 90s and I have the market for PC gaming peripherals is growing and observed changes over the years. I’ve always been a bit of gaming mice to a somewhat hardcore gamer intrigued, but I could never force myself to venture to the jump, because I do not feel any offered something beyond what could do my regular Internet-mouse .
Enter the Razer Naga.
As soon as I saw this mouse, I knew there was something special here. Suddenly, we have leaped light years ahead of our standard 5-button mice with a 17 (!!!) button mouse. I knew after I do a little research that I try this mouse, and I’m so glad I had. Some reviews are calling this a gimmick mouse. You can go on thinking that while I continue to get more control of my game when I first ever.
Basic features. The Naga is very comfortable in the hand and looks and feels very high quality materials. I especially like the little “Ridge” on the right side of the mouse that made evident to support my ring finger comfortably and give me a better grip on the mouse. It glides like a dream, even off a mouse pad. The wide range of configuration options makes perfect control for every user. The right and left mouse buttons are very responsive and the wheel rolls smoothly with a very nice grip structure make that scroll much faster and more accurate. The fantastic braided cord is long and durable, but light and honestly feels like a wireless mouse, as if the cable was not there. The size is perfect. With all the extra features, I thought it would be too big for my small hands, but it is wonderful. My hand fits comfortably on the mouse and I have quick, accurate access to all buttons as my husband, the bigger hands than me not to stretch my index finger, only to have trouble with an agreement reached with the mouse wheel. It’s fantastic.
Now, for the fun stuff. If you are buying this mouse, all you really interested in is the 12-key pad thumb. You will be glad to know that it is alive to all the expectations I had, although he got a little suspicious, given all the “gimmicky” ratings. One question that I was quite concerned about a comment in a previous report made, he can not grab the mouse during the game without accidentally activating the buttons on the pad thumb. I have not found this to be a problem in any way. Right out of the box I was using this mouse in World of Warcraft, and I adapted very quickly to the feeling of all the extra buttons under my thumb. You can mouse actually pretty solid, attack without accidentally activating the buttons. But pressing the keys requires very little effort. It is a perfect balance. Not too soft, that you accidentally press the buttons, but not too hard, you do not enable them to quickly and easily. I also tend to the movement of my mouse with the hand lead and I do not hold the mouse like a bear. If you are aggressive with your mouse, you can be a problem, but neither I or my gamer husband had no problems at all with him />.
The final potential problem, I was afraid (again was after reading some not-so-nice reviews) that it a lack of adjustment for the key itself. It is true that you decide that 12-key pad to either your 1 = if you assign your keys or num pad. I personally wanted to keep my 1 = key, though, where they were when I had intended for the Naga, an add-on for the key I’ve often used to give me access to a second set of skills to be reached quickly. I was worried at first that this is not possible. Again I was very pleased to see that this is also not an issue. The switch on the bottom of the mouse you can quickly switch between your standard keyboard and number pad switch, so I decided to try the second option. My main game is WoW, and I noticed that all existing keybinds for the number pad (without a car and Run Run / Walk) were key I have ever used. So I was quickly assigned to my second game in the hotkey bar at the keys. Immediately I had a quick access to 12 more hotkeys without fighting with Shift, Alt and Ctrl, which I have always struggled with a fairly small with female hands. I have never been able to activate alternative hotkey bars quickly reach through my fingers just not in a position to deal with all buttons without even my hand off the mouse, and that was really my main reason for this purchase. The Naga I was not disappointed in this respect and has a very worthwhile purchase for me.
As with the other functions of the light beautifully. I’m not much for flash, but the beautiful blue lights of the buttons and wheel, and the fading logo on the Naga are fantastic. Just the right intensity as well. You can use the configuration software to assure the keypad / wheel and logo on and off when you turn. Only wish they had allowed me to change it pink! Also, the custom DPI tracking is fantastic. You need to download the software and drivers, this is quick and painless. It gives me as much control and is currently at 5000DPI, I need hardly room to move my mouse and my accuracy is spot on. The WoW addon is very nice, although I choose on the use of it for my love Bartender Pass. I was very tempted, but because the ability to arrange your hotkey bar to the actual location of the keys corresponding to the learning of the key would be so much easier. I do not feel I wanted to spend the time trying to configure my interface completely new if, at any point on the road I can, because I feel I could go on much longer, obtained from the Naga if I did. The addon solves my problem of the above hands are not large enough to reach all the hot keys to activate alternative hotkey bars, by myself with my left hand for the modifier and my right hand to activate the proper button on the mouse. The addon pages changes automatically when it is holding down the modifier appears to be very, very functional and intuitive. If I overcome my aversion to changing my UI and am totally satisfied with my new Naga, I’ll probably go and reconfigure my setup because I really feel I will benefit in the long term. Baby steps!
I have pointed out that a small problem is not really a problem at all. The forward and back buttons on the Naga are much higher up on the left side of the mouse when I’m used to, and I have many years my main abilities to bind these keys. Razer obviously had to move them, make space for the thumb pad, so it’s not really a problem as far as it is a necessity. However, it has a lot of getting used to and I was often pushing the buttons 3 and 6 out of habit. Within hours, if I am no longer fighting habit, and always used the keys to their new location.
Finally, if you are in the market for a gaming mouse, it absolutely no comparison to the Razer naga. No other mouse even comes close. At current price it is, there is not much more than your typical gaming mouse and I feel you get a lot more for your money with this child. Prepare to be impressed by you if you get the Naga as the packaging is very elegant and beautiful. I’m not usually one to be courted by these kinds of things, but they pulled out all the stops with this package. It makes a very attractive gift for the gamer in your life and looks much more expensive than what you actually pay for them. Razer is my new favorite manufacturer of gaming peripherals. I love my Naga!
