If your hands on a PlayStation 3 and no PS2 games that you used to play on PlayStation 2, then it is really important to get your hands on this memory card adapter.
In essence, the memory card adapter is a small box that you put your PS2 memory card. A cable then plugs into the PS3’s USB port. This is the only way to get the games from PS2 to your PS3, so that you can then use it with your PS2 games.
Almost every PS3 owner I have spoken with a PS2 owns and many PS2 games. You want to play PS2 games keep on the PS3. This is especially true with epic PS2 games like Final Fantasy XII. There is no reason to start over again! The memory card adapter is pretty cheap, and saves you weeks if not months of game time.
The act of moving save games is really very simple. Simply place your small PS2 memory card into the unit. On the PS3 console, select the card. It prompts you to enter a name for the “Storage Area” on your PS3 hard drive. For my 8 memory cards, which I just mentioned storage CARD1 – Card8, so they agreed with the cards. Then hit a button and wait for about two minutes while the files are moved.
As soon as they where on your PS3 hard drive, you are! You can save games, the ones you want to delete any more, and use them to play with.
Lying Definitely a must for a PS3 owner, all the PS2 memory cards – has, or has friends who could have with PS2 games and tickets visit. Sure, the PS3 games are great – but it spends a ton of PS2 games that there are a lot of fun, too. This little device allows you to use all the time have already invested in the game.

As of the latest update code for the PS3, this adapter can now write a PS2 memory card, and read from one (that was all it could to do before). A previously lame product now officially rocks.

It does exactly what they have to copy PS1 and PS2 memory card receivables files on your PS3. It only makes sense if your PS3 is backwards compatible, ie. 80 GB or 60 GB versions. And even then you need to use only once. I recommend it always be used, as I am sure the seller is only used to have it once and still am to be in perfect condition.

This is really important for those who own, and yet, have this advice. SONY has just published the first 80 firmware update for PS3. On top of the usual changes and additions, the firmware update fixed the programming on the PS3, which would not let you transfer data back to your memory cards on the PS3 hard drive. This is a giant step forward for those who own more advice or just enjoy their games at other people’s houses as well. Good job, Sony.

Maybe I have not read, but the correct description in the picture, it looks like you just plug it directly into your PS3 but in reality you need to also buy the connection cable. Other than that it works well.
