  1. Who knew that a 1980 film about a killer robot sent back through time to kill a waitress would become a pop culture phenomenon praise, were Sequals, numerous buzzwords, action figures, novels, and of course video games. However, the Terminator universe, has never fared really well in the video game format, so how does the latest game hold up? After a lot to live up, it also has the ubiquitous curse, a game to a film that has two strikes against them based deal. But despite the odds, Terminator Salvation successful run through it, and while it is not the perfect game, it is surprisingly satisfying. . . Depending on your taste.

Under two years before the events of the film with the same name, follows John Connor Terminator Salvation, the famous leader of the resistance. . . or at least that’s what he should be. At this time, Conner is still a common foot soldier, to embrace the still to his fate, and is content to run around the wasteland that Los Angeles was to shoot killer robots. But one day he gets a call from the radio a couple of soldiers trapped behind Skynet lines cut off and begging for help. Defying his superiors (and perhaps common sense), Conner notes from the Los Angeles wasteland to his fellow resistance fighters to save, and on the way, learning about the value of friendship, love and peppering killer robots with high-powered rockets. < , br />
Terminator Salvation is your standard third person shooter. You’re running around like John planes, armed with a variety of weapons to do death, during the filming of a variety of murderous robots, to do nothing better in life then you rip shreds (or punch you to death). Interesting it is though, thanks to the innovative gameplay mechanics Salvation. . . . Cover Although John is a Tough Cookie, and he can not do much harm to Skynet firepower, so standing in the open during the filming of the opposition will end with him lying on the floor with many bloody holes in his body. Fortunately, there is an easy way to avoid that all the damage, and that is cover by the use of. As you travel through the post-apocalyptic landscape, you are to duck countless waist high barriers are found behind if there are cars, concrete columns, oil drums, etc. are indeed hidden behind these obstacles, you are safe from attacks, as well as the ability of to get other forms of coverage. Fortunately, this mechanism works very well. Want to move to another obstacle? Simply sneak to the edge of your current, press the analog stick left or right, click on a button, when the semi-circle on the screen, and you jump, slide, and otherwise refined parade of barrier barrier. This system is well designed, easy to use and is very easy to master. In no time you will flank to fire enemies, and slipping round, sometimes feel like a real soldier, and the feeling of victory celebrations, if you successfully defeat an enemy group.

Although you spend most of their time on foot fighting, Salvation mix things up a bit with the occasional sequence on the track where you are armed in a vehicle with a very large gun, entrusted with the task of blasting away at your pursuers will be robots. During the journey, never a vehicle during these sequences, it offers a good chance of pace and easily manage a great sense of speed. But whether on foot or by vehicle, Salvation is never lacking in the action department, the dozens of spectacular set pieces that rival and even surpass, the action scenes from the film. In fact, we have never seen so much action in each of the films seen, and if you love action, shooting things, running, horseback and in vehicles, then you have a blast with Salvation.

You are doing a lot of fights and cover jumps during the game, but while it may be simple, you will do it in a couple of really smooth environments. Easily the best aspect of Salvation, the game is a graphical powerhouse, packing in huge, elaborately detailed post-apocalyptic landscapes, from infected plants suburbs to crumbling skyscraper canyons around rubble lined highways. Every aspect of the game is gorgeous and look beautiful, especially if you are a fan of the post apocalyptic view of crumbling buildings and general destruction. In fact, at some points, the graphics are so good that they match the level of photo-realistic. The opening film, for example, at times looks as if it was live action. The sound quality, while not quite matching the quality of the optics, nor does a good job. The voice of the cast is good everywhere, including some actors from the film reprising their roles (Christian Bale not included), though the music is sometimes very repetitive, due to the same short pieces repeated over and over. < br />
But while Salvation is working on the basis of levels of fun, great graphics and an immersive world, there are a few things about it. First and foremost it is long. Salvation is a short game. A very short game. From beginning to end, on medium difficulty, you should not stop Salvation more then four fifty-six hours. This is an amazingly short time for a big budget game. . . Heck, any game in general. Before you know it, the game is over and you see just roll through the credits and wondered whether it really. Unfortunately, it is, and unfortunately there really are no rewards for your efforts. You go get some Playstation Trophies and the ability to back and play any level you want, but there are no cheats, no unlockable costumes or skins (I want to play as AHNOLD!) To earn for you. You get the main game, and that’s it.

While the main game is fun, and I want to go back and Play It Again, it will not be to everyone’s taste, as the game is, at heart, very simple. There really is no depth here. . . You spend the game running around that flank cover, robots, and robots to shoot, said until the game is over. There are no articles for you to pick up (except new weapons and ammunition), no interaction with the environment, and there are only four enemy types, floating bots, spider-bots, T-600’s, Flying Hunter Killers, and the bike bots seen in the film. These are the only enemies you’ll fight during the game, blasting it over and over again and again. Each robot is weak against a certain type of ammunition, but that’s as far as gameplay depth.’s

Storywise there is not much to go on. The story is straightforward, with no twists or turns, and while it does show Conner slowly grows into a leader, most people are likely to how thin the story is to be disapointed, especially when characters and then you die do not feel anything for them . There are a few faults are found, such as robots occasionally getting stuck inside walls of the game occasionally disappear freezing, textures and replaced by textureless black areas, and at one point my teammates, the invincible supposedly (mostly standing Point Blank are in front of a T-600 and always blasted with mini-gun rounds minutes), were killed around me on the run all levels of my solitary run, while still hear the characters speak, even though they were dead, and they respawn at the end of the level! Even more bizarre, at one point you’re against two semi-veiled T-600, the ability, you have to punch through concrete barriers Death, makes it impossible to take cover from them. I was also very disapointed in the lack of a final boss fight, which would have been awesome, above all, it had been offered the giant harvester.

There is also another factor to be considered needs, and that is the game of price. As I write this, Salvation is a asking price of nearly sixty dollars, which is far too high for a game of this short and simple. With five hours of gameplay, you would about twelve dollars for each hour of the game, and that is far too much. For this reason, I can not, in good faith, recommend this game for a purchuse. I would recommend waiting until the price drops within the ten to twenty dollar range, twenty is the maximum I personally want to spend.

In the end, salvation is worth ? play Some will undoubtedly find the very simple gameplay too boring and repetitive, but I personally had no problem with him by how demanding is the salvation. For while you are fighting the same robots over and over again, it is never easy. They are often bombarded by multiple robots, and to try, they can all take from being a seriously challenging task, considering how easy it is to die. Thus, while changing the basic game mechanics ever, the game is never boring, nor is it a walk in the park, it has simple but effective gameplay, which takes in beautiful environments, and allows you an almost endless stream of killer robots with many guns shoot. As the B-movie franchise, which she produced, Salvation is essentially a B-game at heart. It is striking, action, and does not require a lot of brain power. Some will be so, and some are not.

While Salvation is not worth buying until the price drops, enjoy the people that the movie franchise of love, post-apocalyptic genre, and how simple yet challenging gameplay will most likely enjoy Terminator Salvation. I recommend it easily, is a lease, and buy as. . . finally.

  2. Similar to an attempt to see T-600 Terminator man, this game is trying to look like a full-priced game, but I can see through his rubbery skin.

Try the most high-quality shooters to deliver an experience that lasts longer than a week, offer many types of enemies to confront, have to find hidden collectibles, and offer plenty of trophies / achievements to be had. Many of these games are also online multiplayer as well, adding to its longevity. Above all, he is a good shot have a strong gameplay with strict controls and dash panels, which do not randomly drift. Then there are the games that are obviously incomplete rushed out, to the debut of a big-budget film needs.

Terminator Salvation is a clear example of wasted potential, this game had so much more than what it is, and that’s a shame. With games like Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War 2, BioShock, Halo 3, Unreal Tournament III, Uncharted, and Fallout 3, there are much better ways to spend by more than half a hundred dollars.

  3. I decided to buy this game because I wanted a big fan of the Terminator franchise and I am to support the game. The game was a huge disappointment. For starters, the game froze up or crashed regularly, which made the game almost unplayable. Once there were two scenes cut to play on the other, there were subtitles, and voices that cut to another scene, subtitles and voices. The game was not completely inedible, but there were only 3 or 4 different opponents throughout the game! And it only took a matter of a few hours to lose the whole. To top it off, there were several spelling errors and missing words in both the manual and game cut scene subtitles, which showed just the developers rather sloppy and unprofessional and this was reflected in the game. The best thing you get from this game is a large opening cut scene, and some simple gold trophies (although many would even call this a disadvantage, as well).

  4. I really enjoyed this title, the most complained about, and not its length. I have however not seen the film and saw only the older stuff from the first two films. I found that the additional mythology, the game was pretty cool (the Harvester and the Hunter Killers) was. The game had great use of HDR and Bloom, plus the game excellently used shaders to the game very nearly surreal look, especially the wasp. I did not expect so much polish on a movie based game. Now this game is as beautiful as Uncharted 2? No way, this game is as bad as most of the movie game title? No, this game very good run and gun gameplay, and has co-op is a blast. I highly recommend this game.
