  1. This game was easily my favorite game of last year. After buying the GameCube version I fell in love immediately and went to play it many, many times at all levels. Now that the PSP edition is here, I’ve finally copy a holster size in order to off on the go.

First, the game does indeed have all the contents and full story mode and exploration aspect of its console brothers, plus five new missions that were originally cut from the original version. The graph is its surprisingly clear and crisp and smooth. What hinders the game in the graphics department is the “ghosting” of fast movement on the PSP’s LCD screen when this is a hardware problem and not the game is to blame.

camera and controls are-probably the biggest problem for Gun: Showdown. With the widescreen display on the PSP screen, Colton is left of center, to enable them probably thought what a simple point of view was shooting over his shoulder. Unfortunately, the camera panned to close at Colton and do not include enough of its environment around him that it will play clausterphobic, especially if in an interior of a building. Aiming is difficult at first, and definitely not the most accurate system that would have been implemented for the lack of psp 2 analog control sticks have. You use the triangle, square, X and Circle buttons and looking up and down is used left and right, while the left analog nub for moving forward and backward. The control of the camera is an impressive game quickly the Achilles tendon to heal.

The controls also lack of user control with riding. The unusual horse sprints faster than its counterpart, and the sprint button is the same console to jump to the Pony Express missions can make 10 times more frustrating.

The Focus or QuickDraw mode is still one of the games best features and works incredibly well, so if you were to survive not, the shooting for lack of control, than fear not worry, you’re still for the lighting fast Colton reflexes and aim.

The music is still in their full splendor, and the game includes one of the best scores in the game since Oblivion Elder Scrolls or Metal Gear Solid 3rd The audio and voice are excellent, an amazing jump for the video games in general (Has anyone pointed out how terrible was PS1 Voice Acting).

The online modes are a lot of fun and whether you have a friend or not to play with, the AI is incredible in-game. Among other bandits, the Sprint from side to side and roll-out of the fire, in a quick head shot, while it is always impressive, especially for a PSP title. The poker-mode is the hands down, why I bought the PSP version (it was my favorite mini-game on the GameCube version). Although I have noted some of the name-card opponents had been changed from the original game, it was essentially the same setup-and-play rules. There are actually two ways to play poker solo. It is fast in play mode, where the stakes are low. and the other (and I would recommend more) is in the multiplayer mode, where your own tournament in ad-hoc = can host, and whether someone play with you or not, the games AI who does not fill there, and with very much higher stakes games last much longer.

Sorry, but the rewards for achieving mini-games do not translate into the main game, but they are good enough to justify a lot of play throughs. < br />
The main game is still the same great story, and is highly recommended. If you are new to the game I would really recommend picking up one of the console versions of it first. If you’re like me, a Gun vetaran, and want to be on the go, I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

  2. This game looked cool in advertising, and I had never played the console version, so I bought it with my Christmas money. It is the best PSP game I have, and I have 10, play, many more. The control is awesome, the story and characters are classic, and overall it feels like you’re playing a classic Western movie like Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. The details get pretty Gorey, but with brain splatter, blood splash, and fragmentation, so it is not for the faint of heart. The only thing that could be better, is the length of the game. It is definitely not too short, but if you would be several hours worth of story and a dozen other bounty missions or so, then it perfectly.

  3. When it was announced GUN Showdown for the PSP, I thought it was a completely new game from scratch. But it was then shown that it would be a port from the console and PC version, that if you buy them, wanted to kill time, you do not want to because it was meant to played on the console.

But as it turns out, GUN Showdown is not just a direct connection. While the story remains the same, some things were added and optimized for the PSP. Five new missions (which were intended for the console, but cut it for some reason) were added, Multiplayer and Quick Play action were also included. Also, you now hold your horse while playing instead of “stealing” as in the original was done.

The gameplay is fun and exciting and will in fact make the time pass quickly. The sound is amazing. In fact, this coming one of the better connections to the PSP and is pretty cheap as well. $ 29. 99, one can not go wrong with this game. And for the first western on the PSP, it also is worth the wait.

  4. First, let me first say that I love “Gun” and I expect that when one of my favorite games of all time start. With this being said, I’m not crazy about the PSP version for two reasons

    – Controls: Simply put: The control is very frustrating, and there are quite a bit of a learning curve. . especially for those who have the consoles versions are used. Because of the PSPs lack of a second analogue buttons as well as the analogues inability to “click” as the L3 and R3 buttons it throws the whole control scheme of wack. The circle, X, triangle and square buttons act as your lack of the right analog stick. This makes for some awkward movements [especially when trying to aim] diagonal. This is frustrating in itself, but it is almost unbearable when one considers how difficult it is, switching weapons, reloading, and, above all with the help of the ZOOM gun. There is no simple way to use the zoom when you are fighting in the middle of a fire. Forget it. You must press a direction on the D-pad while pressing the Square button, if I remember correctly. It may not sound like a big deal, but remember that you move your PSP analog stick with it and to target your most important keys. Basically pull off his very, very complicated and much too heavy as a simple action in the heat of the moment. Maybe play a few hours you can train yourself to use these controls, but can be a great fan of the game I hardly get into it, because the controls are so bad. They did the best with what they had with the work I probably. . . It’s really just a bad connection between the game and with what the PSP offers in terms of available keys.

Camera: As explained in another post on the camera too close the character and he deliberately made the center to the left. This just feels and looks weird. It was not bad enough to spoil the game, but it will throw off from time to time and as a previous reviewer said, it can be quite claustrophobic in certain areas.

They love the game and can use this version for $ 9 to $ 15, then I get would say it’s not a bad buy, but I recommend you play or rent it first because if you can like the console versions, you will be disappointed and frustrated with this.

GUN I would give the game five stars, but this one deserves only 2 or 3

  5. This is a pretty cool game. One of the best things about this game is the story. It would be a pretty good novel. The gameplay is a bit to get used to but its not that hard once you this, what is important. The graphics are top notch, but sometimes incomplete and lags especially in some of the cinimatics but its nothing to be really worried.

This is a good game to your PSP collection add br < />
    God Bless
