I enjoyed this a lot. It is a combo rhythm and strategy game. You have to fight with the missions you were listening to music and pressing buttons have different combos. Cute characters, bright and original art style are evident throughout. The PATA-PATA-PATA-PON sound will certainly stick in your head and maintain. Some might have problems in time, it takes quite a good memory with good rhythm skills, but this always easier to play using headphones. You can not miss the full experience without it.
The only negative point is not, you can not pause the game. But you can in your PSP to sleep and it remains as it is. So when you stop playing in the middle there is really no problem.
The game is total fun, original and worth your time. Especially since all the game has to offer along with the price, it is worth the money. You can also try before you buy at the PSN store. The demo is free to try, and if it completely, you even get a bonus weapon. Try this game out, you will not regret it.

This is a really cool game, especially if you like rhythm games (Guitar Hero and such).
Basically, you have different skis of drumming (Press notice of the action buttons) to the Patapon orders to advance, attack, etc.
It is very challenging trying to remember which command the Patapon to send while they are in the heat of battle, especially in the real battle (ie, the game does not pause to wait until you drum a command, and your Patapon take a beating until you get the correct pattern).
As the progress, you get access to new drum patterns, better armor, weapons, and Patapon (archers, hunters and warriors). It is not a simple hack-n-slash game, but it has some strategic elements (for example, you should keep archers in the back and warriors in the front, but it is up to you the most efficient formation of your Patapon to find fighters) and you have to feed and nurse your army in hunting sessions that allow you to practice your pattern without fear kill your entire army allows drum.
Overall this is a wonderfully smooth and well thought-out non-3D game that references to Adobe Flash-animation-style property with a small Samurai Jack threw Artistry in for more attractive and to meet a cool new game on the rhythm.

This game is seriously addictive. I bought this game originally for nephew and I found myself in a closet freak to play Patapon, when I get home from work and before bed has. It is a simple rhythm based game that uses 4 floors, the small army of soldiers to control a whimsical eye. Playing in only a few days, I’ve played this game more than all my other PSP games. For less than $ 20, the game is worth buying and I would recommend it to anyone who just a bizarre style of game, almost like a Tim Burton film.

Normally read a lot about a game before I buy. I like role playing and was the rhythm component after thoroughly enjoy Puzzle Quest (a very different, but also “mixed” game fascinated). Noticed that I apparently no rhythm. Gave up the game after several hours and the first 5-6 levels. Never so much fun for me qualified. Gathering levels were too repetitive, but the main complaint was that to do well in the battles and keep my army in “Fever”, I had to ignore what was happening in the battles focused solely on compliance with the rhythm. That is, if I had overwhelming force and the enemy was decimated, could not I see my Minion cause harm, but I had to on the screen border to keep focused, to not loose the beat. Obviously, in view popularity, not rhythm-challenged people are not the same problem.

Patapon is definitely a different kind of game than most. The rhythm and beat style of this game really apart. The graphics are simple but full of color and fluid motion. Sound / music is pretty good, the only thing that can be annoying is getting slighly when all the small start cheering and screaming Patapon, if you do combos, etc. Other than that, the rhythms and beats are fun to follow. < br />
The gameplay is really easy to learn and the receipt of this game, I could not put it down until hours later. Upgrade your units and their equipment are fairly simple.
To complete the whole thing, $ [. . . ] Is a wonderful price for such a fun game. This is absolutely a game is worth it.
