  1. We have a budget since the PS3 60GB version came about so, with two pre-teens have been in the house, we were ripe for a PSP adoption. We actually have Ratchet & Clank pack a few months ago bought one for my children was a fan of the game. Now, with two boys and a girl in the house, it turns out not be enough to PSP. We’re on hold for the Hannah Montana Edition for our little girl, but we had no choice but to get the Rock Band edition for the one who just turned “teen” last week.

The bundle costs a few more than the “clean” PSP-3000 but, in our case, the comfort that you are together with the game and a memory card and a downloaded movie justified the additional costs, because the child really wanted both the PSP and the game, and if you all you get with the bundle add, come out of this way.

    The “Pack” includes the following:
    ;
    – The PSP 3000, even in black
    – 4GB Memory
    – the game on a UMD disk
    – A movie download coupon
    – Manual, Promos, registration card, etc.

I could not say rock band because I do not really play rock band and my child is still practiced in such a way absolutely see Rock Band Unplugged excellent reviews from those who spent some serious time rocking chair on the PSP (I Salute You). And here are the ratings for the School of Rock (Special Edition) are (for the film itself is not for the PSN download).

Given the PSP’s built-in Wi-Fi and its integration PS3 a few things quite able to do out of the box, if you have Wi-Fi or a PS3, but have a better game experience, we ordered a 16GB Memory Stick and with the included 4 GB on a camera, as we plan a some movies are save, if it is on the road. Films take about 0th 5 GB.

    FIRST IMPRESSIONS
——————-< br> / I was surprised how good and versatile and sleek, this small console. It has most of the PS3 buttons, including an analog joystick, the display is large and bright, the resolution is good (480×272), and they responded quickly to controls. There seems to be solidly constructed. Unlike previous models, this one comes with a built-in microphone, while the sound output can either be via the internal speakers or headphones (not included). After charging the battery, my child was up and running and happy in no time. But let me go with a more structured conversation.

    Stand-alone operation (separate)
————– ————————–< br /> The PSP 3000 will play games or movies on UMDs or Memory Stick card supplied . It also shows photos and play music stored on the memory card.

    NETWORKING and Internet connectivity
————– ————————< br /> The built-in Wi-Fi allows the PSP 3000 on the Playstation and Playstation Store Netowork have direct access. Out of the box there is an Internet browser, a search (Internet) function, several Internet radio applications and the ability to use the PSP as a Skype phone for as long as you have a Skype account, and the PSP will happen within the range of a Wi-Fi hotspot.

    PS3 INTEGRATION
—————–< br /> After the PSP with the PS3, the PS3 can “push” video, photos, music and even PSP games available for download from the Playstation Store, when paired connected via a USB cable. If wireless, the PSP is essentially taking over the PS3 – the PS3’s actually display screen and display photos stored on the PS3 music stored on the PS3. Film play is not supported. Amazingly, you can access your PS3 remotely from anywhere in the universe as long as your PSP to the Net via Wi-Fi access.

When playing music, it is possible it on the PSP’s speakers / headphones or play on the PS3 play themselves, so imagine the PSP as a remote control.

I that additional capacity exists, that I am not I am aware, but we discover new applications and new features all the time.

    PC integration
    ————— –
With a USB connection, will see the PC connected to the PSP memory card as a drive. This will allow for music, photo and movie files are transferred directly to the PSP.

——— Room for Improvement ————-< br /> The PSP 3000 is too much the perfect portable game play (and more) machine, at least in the Sony universe comes close. Perfection would be achieved if the “keyboard” interface has been improved – it is terrible now – if it had touch screen capabilities, and if file transfers were possible from the PS3 wirelessly. Also on the wish list, I hope that there are more legal certainty “digital copy” movies for the PSP. And Bluetooth.

    PSP-3000 vs. PSP GO
———————< br />, the question itself: How about a PSP Go? Well, in our case it was going out of the question because it is not for sale on our kid’s birthday available, because the price is a little too high – we have three children – and because at that time, we would rather keep our games on floppy disks, so that it can be easily shared among our tribe and will not be depended too much on our memory the boundaries. Of course, our concerns can not apply to everyone.

    My Rating
———–< br /> for all in Rock Band that is the perfect bundle. If Rock Band is not your game, then you are probably better off with a “clean” PSP and then get your own memory card, games, movies, etc.

For what you get is there is a fourth 5 stars plus, rounded up to fifth

    Note:

It would be almost sinful not to protect your new PSP. We use PSP Logitech PlayGear Pocket – Slim. It has no compartments to store UMDs or memory cards, but it does not wrap your 3000 like a glove, and from my perspective, it offers the best protection.

  2. I am not a hard core gamer.

I have the DS, the Wii was, and I refuse an Xbox 360, after so many die in the hands of friends to buy. Gears of War and Halo really never seemed good enough to pay for a piece of junk that will die after a few months.

My PS3 is hard, sometimes also used for games, but more often for Blu-Ray in my home theater. When I saw the PSP Go, set a few months ago, it caused some interest. I have an iPhone and I have tons of games for them. However frustrating, with some exceptions – Field Runners and a couple of shooters – the lack of buttons for most games. Actually, I wanted to buy the PSP Go, but then I decided, with a PSP-3000, go to the best of both worlds; UMD and PSN downloads.

At first I was skeptical what the Rock Band bundle. I have been for the Guitar Hero road and I “m over it. But I think actually plays the rhythm formula much better on PSP then the stupid guitar peripherals. The game is addictive, easy to learn and at any time the formula works perfectly for a portable such as the PSP. In addition, more than the other music games, it reminds me of an old PS2 favorites frequency.

A look at the PSP-3000, and I like the XMB as it is exactly like the one on my PS3. The 4-gig card is a good starter for downloads. I like the way it feels for the most part. I like the big screen and the loading times are not so bad for the games I have.

I do not like? The damn thing is a freaking black fingerprint magnet. I wish they offered the bundle in a different color. The UMD tray feels failed to fairly poor. The battery life is not as good as a DS. Sometimes the controls, particularly the shoulder buttons, they feel awkward. My biggest complaint is the slow way of downloading movies and games from the PSN. I think the free School of Rock film took like three hours on my DSL connection to download. Sucks.

If you are use PSN, buy only what you want to save the PS3 , and then transfer it to the PSP.

Although the PSP has for some time I’m glad I bought it now. With the 3000 model, I get the best out two worlds of the UMD and PSN downloads when I want. I like the design, size, and the games. All I can say is, no matter how much life is left in this case, I’ll play for a while. I love my iPhone and some of the games are indispensable to them, but I like my PSP more and I’m glad I bought it.

  3. I bought this for my son to the 13th Birthday. He would almost always wake up at any moment, if we let him.

This bundle was a good business because it came with a 4GB Memory Stick (many of the other bundles in this price range with only a 2GB Memory Stick came), and a game and a voucher for a movie. We have the PSP go to 3000 on the PSP, because I do not like that the PSP Go borders with the downloaded games – I, the flexibility to buy games and movies on disks rather, if we choose.

I particularly impressed by the graphics for a portable system. The sound is good, taking into account the limitations of the built-in speakers on a handheld. But most of the time my son use headphones (we had to buy them separately) for true stereo sound. The headphones can also mean that he set the tone, while he plays in the car without all the others have.

The controls are familiar to anyone who ever had a Playstation console has played – he has mastered the basic use of the device in minutes. So far he has concentrated primarily on games. He took not much advantage of its Internet capabilities, or their use as a music player, but I expect he will soon. . . after he finishes at Dissidia.

So far it seems durable. My son went there once on the kitchen floor, and it still works well. It was not in a protective sleeve / case, shock-absorbing, if he dropped it, either.

All in all, it is an impressive handheld gaming system that I think he is for a long time to enjoy.

  4. I have never heard of a PSP until now and I must say, this is a great package for anyone who wants to jump into the PSP! I took this plan because I do a lot of traveling in the near future and wanted to take some games on the road with me.

In addition to the core PSP Stuff you typically You also get a 4 GB Memory Stick, Rock Band Unplugged, and a download of the School of Rock off of the Playstation Network. If one were to buy all these items separately you would spend at the end much more than what they are being charged for them. After purchasing this bundle you really need only to look like a travel case and / or a case for the games in the store in.

The PSP general, it is a great system. I own pretty much every other console out right now, including the Nintendo DS. While I love my DS, the portable console has more games for the older players, games that are much closer to a PlayStation 3 game in your hands. The graphics are great and the controls are easy to learn.

If you have about how to do some portable game systems have been thinking, I definitely recommend this bundle as a way to start. Enjoy the game!

  5. Item was ordered as a Christmas gift for my grandson, who lives in New Jersey. When I ordered it, I would say it was probably a little too late for Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised when it came time to for me, it mail and have it there for at least a week before Christmas. My grandson was thrilled with the PSP and I was very happy with the service from Amazon get satisfied. I will definitely recommend to other Amazon and plan to use this service for future purchases.
