I had never played with a PSP until yesterday. I want to see a friend of mine playing Lumines, when it first came out, but that was it.
Now I begin to see what I missed.
;
I bought the PSP Daxter Entertainment Pack – Ice Silver version of the PSP hardware yesterday, something of a whim. I’d heard decent things, read some reviews and thought it might be a good investment. Plus, hey, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions was, and I wanted to play that.
I turned out to be a good buy! The device itself is easy to operate very well thought out and comfortable. The screen is incredibly vivid and bright. The interface is well designed. I have had a few problems, the Internet, at first, but I managed to solve them within a few minutes (the little web-browser they have installed, the software is … Ok Not. Great, but it gets the Job Done
In fact, about the only thing I did not like that would come with this system was a USB cable. Fortunately I was able to find me at the local game store and now I can hook this sucker directly up to my computer. Very useful because I’m playing now in a position to MP3s on my PSP, as well as store photos!
In addition to the system, I also got a gig memory chip. This is quite handy! It also came with Daxter, which I have not played too much, but it’s proven fun. It also came with Family Guy – The Freakin Sweet Collection (UMD Mini For PSP). Alone, these items would probably add quite a bit more on the cost, but they came just a little more than the system itself (I sold the UMD, however, included. Why? Well, partly because I have that same product on DVD and some because I just do not “get” the whole thing UMD. They are expensive, have no extras and just are not very interesting).
I have heard and enjoyed Nintendo DS Lite Onyx Black , but I say, this little system is worlds away gotta. You get video games, Internet access, an MP3 player, movie player (though not my thing, as already mentioned), and a picture viewer, all for not much more than a DS. Nintendo, I love you, but in this case, Sony is the best product (Do not Hate Me!).
The only down side I see is that this is not a system for the younger kids (what with the UMD discs), and it is a little larger than the DS. It would be nice if it came with a hand strap, for I am sure it would have tragic consequences of falling, and I to have before I would have liked a USB cable, said in the box. But still, I am with what I bought and I think you would also like!

The new PSP is everything you could ever want in a handheld! I finally have my hands on an eagerly waited for about a month and a half, and I am willing to write
Pros:
33% lighter than the last psp: This feature is really good and is really very striking. With the old PSP (that my brother bought a while back) my wrist was actually tired after while because it was a bit bulky. But this was not the case this time around. I played Daxter had 50% through the game, and I havn’t any problems. It’s the perfect wieght, and you’ll see it straight from the box Slimmer!
+19%: The hump was not on the back of the old psp bad, but the straight back of the new is phenomenal! It feels so good in the hand it is ridiculous! Not much needed change, but be very appreciated.
+ New UMD Bay: the new UMD Bay is very beautiful! A lot of people believe that it is really cheap, but I like it better! It is much less complex than the others, which is very good! With the other, I have really messed up one of my brothers games to try to get it there.
+ Faster loading times: The faster times are not a dramatic improvement, but you can quite safely say ! Two games with probably the worst load times on the PSP are Mortal Kombat Unchained and GTA: Vice City Stories. Both games have a fixed amount of undesirble loading in the actual game itself, but makes the additional flash memory is much less painful. I actually have time to enjoy these games now! And yes, five seconds will make a difference!
+ Video Out: Very nice feature! I went ahead and bought the cable with a gift card I had to Target, and I was very pleased. I think it’s pretty cool, close it and Daxter play on your TV and watch Family Guy as well! I had fun with it!
+ Better D-Pad and Analog Nub: You can say that the D-Pad and analog nub way to respond more! I was very impressed when I played my game Mortal Kombat. It was much stronger than the last PSP.
+ Battery Life: I can tell a difference in the life of the battery. It seems like this thing forever. I have since Thursday (09/06/2007) and I have collected only once!
+ Package contents: It comes with one of the largest PSP games, and probably the funniest show on the planet! It also comes with a 1GB Memory Stick, which is a very good improvement over the 32 MB. This value would be definitely sold $ 240 sepertately. To save this bundle just over 40 dollars! What is gas money for me!
Cons:
-Glossy Finish: After a while it gets really annoying, especially when you start to sweat your hands. It makes the psp look very nice, do not get me wrong, but I much prefer looking over comfort. And the glossy surface is not a real winner with me, but it is not!
Daxter and Family Guy packing: I was annoyed that the nature and Daxter Family Guy in cheap cardboard cut out arrived packets. I would like the real case, it would fit in my collection have been better, but I guess that is to do now.
-No-bracelet / earphones: I was not very disappointed that it does not come with a wrist strap or headphones, because I have my own, but it’s kind of sad because it came with the last PSP. I hope Sony will start packing them in the future.
Other than the three small Cons of the new PSP really delivers! If you already have a PSP, there is no need to update seriously. The features are not worth buying an entire new. But if you’ve never bought one, as I do, and you are planning on buying one, buy this for sure!

Got my new PSP Slim Ice Silver (aka “PSP 2000″ model PSP-2001) 3 days ago and I love it. makes the 30% lower weight vis-a-vis the original PSP, it was so much easier and comfiest. I used to protect a case / comfort grip (PSP Comfort Grips Black) to the old PSP – BTW, the case / comfort grip / use touch screen / stand 4-in-1 product in this context it must work for the PSP slim! – The easy application of the PSP, but with the new slim version, I can keep it.
The second big improvement is in the UMD load times. It is remarkably faster than before, what exactly UMD movies much easier. BTW, this is achieved by caching on the Memory Stick, so if you do not slim on a Memory Stick in the PSP, you do not speed-up. Notice
Sony also met with the internal memory from 32MB to 64MB. Maybe this game will help load times, but early reports show the extra memory is used mainly for improved texture rendering. We will see when software comes out Improvement.
The screen also seems brighter than the original PSP’s, and I have no dead pixels. (My old PSP LCD 3 dead pixels, including a rather bright green had one.)
Another new feature is the ability to output video (movies and games!) To an external TV, via an optional component AV or composite AV cable. I ordered the $ 20 PSP 2000 Component AV Cable and really happy watching my collection of UMD and Memory Stick movies on my HDTV.
Otherwise, it’s pretty much the same as the original PSP same screen size and resolution, control over the layout, etc. Not a bad thing, since it takes no time to learn anything at all about this baby. The Wi-Fi button is now located on the top, and Sony adopted the seldom-used IR window.
One thing is this Daxter pack does not come with headphones or the cable remote control, and You can not use the wired controller for the original PSP (PSP-1000 “) in this new PSP (PSP-2000″).
In short, I think, the easier UMD load times and quicker to make this a completely worthy upgrade for those of us really in our PSPs. For casual PSP owners, but this is probably not so interesting, the original PSP was good enough for occasional use. Who should get looking into PSP games available in any case, the new PSP Slim / PSP 2000.

I bought this one recently, and I am very impressed with him. I do not have the original PSP-owned, so I only on the new PSP 2000 (PSP Slim) can comment.
These are just some of what I think are the Highlights of PSP 2000:
– Small, lightweight design (could easily fit in a pocket)
– The screen is crisp and bright
– There is a good choice Play it for the
– it also plays video and music
– It also has wireless networks for multi-player games, and also includes a web browser (pretty cool for a game system)
– It may be a TV-out
In addition to the UMD, the games and movies to come, you can also download the PSP Memory stick media (I have the available seen up to 4 GB). Game data is saved on Memory Stick. Videos, music, and it looks so games can also be downloaded from the memory stick. Unfortunately, like the Memory Stick is a proprietary technology from Sony and are more expensive than other media such as SD cards, but it’s still a nice feature.
it a good choice games for the PSP. There are games to younger children and adults. A few of my favorite games for the PSP are so far Mortal Kombat Unchained and Sega Genesis Collection (which contains 28 classic Genesis games for the PSP). The games seem less expensive in general than on other systems too ($ 20 – $ 40 instead of $ 40 – $ 50 + for systems like the PS3).
I find it interesting that movies on UMD for the PSP. I can see that Sony a versatile unit, who was able to create play movies and games, much like the PS2 and PS3, but it seems to me that the UMD format is not the best place for movies. The PSP is the only device that can read UMDs right now, the films have a lower optical quality and the discs do not contain any extras. I already have a modest DVD collection, I would only buy UMD movies when they were really cheap. However, it looks like UMD movies already in popularity quite a few have fallen.
I bought a USB cable for my PSP, and connecting to a PC works pretty well . After plugging in a USB port, then the PSP into USB mode is switched, and then it turns out as another drive on your computer so you copy files over to the Memory Stick. That makes it fairly easy to transfer things to and from the PSP.
The PSP has a Web browser on it, which conveniently, the Web, if a WLAN Internet access is available to make navigating. However, would the little toy that it is to do some web pages not to do particularly well because of the low screen resolution, and it can be a little difficult to navigate, the Web due to the lack of a real keyboard and mouse.
are 2 TV cable, I have seen, to have available: One, 3 RCA plugs (video and stereo audio), which support many television sets, and a component cable that 5 RCA connectors, which has supported by newer TV sets have. I recently read a review saying that the PSP games do not appear with the 3-plug version, I was a little depressed, because I think my TV has only the 3-plug input. But not this could be a problem for many people.
I bought the component (5 plug) video cable for the PSP and have used it with my 21 “widescreen display computer. As long as it can be beautiful, the PSP into a TV, the PSP is plug resolution low enough that it is a little blocky on a big screen.
One drawback that I can think of is that this is only PSP supports Wi-Fi for multiplayer games (Sony did away with the infrared port). But in case there is no Wi-Fi router available, it would be nice if the PSP was somehow think of the connection of two PSPs other than wi-fi, or maybe a port that you would plug in another controller for a second player.
in all, I WBS Game variety and selection make it worth the money.
