It seems that to stop reading the disk from time to time tend. I have a new PSP 3001 and all other hard drives read fine. I guess I'm one of UMD's that have passed QC. All in all, the game is great.

I enjoy this game. Sometimes it seems a bit simple, but I have not really explored, "" it played it enough or too little to know how hard to get the later levels. It is based on the Warhammer 40,000 stories / games are based. Squad combat, where more each of your men individually, to achieve the mission at hand. Mission # 1 is to kill all the rebels in the area. You can use any of your Space Marines, and then move to the fire on the enemy. You keep your men behind cover, and you can "cover Crouch" for extra. . . basic strategy. You can flank maneuver and you have to remember to stay out of the enemy's line of sight or they will shoot at you while you are in motion.

You can play the campaign or battle .

I like turn-based games with strategy, not the "hold down the trigger and run mentality of" First Person Shooter ". . . this game, that's a good one. Right now, I'm seventh Rating 5 of 10 This may be different, as I progress in the game.

I've never seen one of the Warhammer tabletop games or play games, so I went to every event on a part if they get this game. I did a little research online by looking at demo videos and reading some reviews. I started playing and just finished the first mission. I also played an online game. For someone who has only played a few strategy games (Command and Conquer 3 and The Battle for Middle Earth II), I found this game to be fascinating, visually appealing and just plain fun. The controls are very intuitive and easy to learn. It can be a little tricky to move the cursor with the D-Pad. The camera control with the analog stick is pretty worthless. Find an online game can take time (if you're lucky enough to have someone else to find out there at all). Graphics look great and the sound effects are pretty much what one would expect. Selecting weapons is easy and the learning of the action point system (AP) takes no time at all. For those who are hardcore Warhammer fans, this game could be something to be desired (I realize that the Warhammer universe is permeated very big and good). However, so far as to go handheld turn-based strategy games, meets Squad Command.

Warhammer 40k: Squad Command (PSP version)

Quick Review. . . .

I already am a big fan of 40k, and this game fits the bill for an instant and portable 40k action. The turn-based, semi-real-time control works well with the action point system. In-game graphics and cut scenes are great. The missions are fairly straightforward (kill all enemies or get to a goal or alive x survive revolutions / waves of evil). My only complaint is the overall all game is quite short (only 15 missions, I think). There is some replay value in playing the missions, to try to get a higher score, but have more missions or play the same cards as the opponents more value added.

Total: 05:04

For all those who - like me - really got excited about this game because of the hours of fun with Dawn of War (Dow also published by THQ) instead because I love the tabletop game warned. While Squad Command (SC) taps into the dark religious galactic battlefield, Warhammer 40k, it is not mediate the rapid ultra-violence so palpable in the Dow and its extensions. This is no surprise, but as the SC series is based.

This is no surprise, either. Turn-strategy is a genre within the exclusive jurisdiction of the handheld at this time. This game is no FF Tactics but share some vaguely RPG-like features with this item and its descendants. For example, you can micromanage your squad members with regard to weapons. But this is more true to the tabletop experience of point-building, I suspect (having never played), when you attached your troops. They change from mission to mission, after all. I wonder, promote and comment on someone with knowledge of the rules table, the degree to which these rules are part of this game a la D & D Tactics.

In music, graphics and overall presentation is the SC about average or slightly above the average for the PSP. It will not knock your socks off bleed or your eyes. In this context, it is not a great introduction to Warhammer 40k. The 40K world relies heavily on his legendary aesthetic and the platform they can not sell, like a beautiful, Pentium-powered PC game. to take part of this aesthetic is the wide range of party types, you can look at each unit, and know which party he belongs. This game, which only covers Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines, not in mine, that wealth of creativity. But these two groups are in the form of troops, weapons and vehicles pretty well. I have not seen them yet, but it is even said to Grey Knights in SC!

The main disadvantage of SC is that it only fifteen missions. I do not know what is the capacity of a UMD, but I enjoy every moment of 40K, which makes no difference incredibly expensive unpainted miniatures. Fifteen missions are too few. There is obviously no make up skirmish mode against the AI, although it can play in multiplayer chaos. Ultimately, is thirty dollars for fifteen missions very effective price when you consider how much you'd need shell out dough for fifteen missions in the table above. The bottom line is that if you really like the 40k universe, but can not afford, table top, which will make you happy, if only for a little while. But if you are looking for more DoW, then elsewhere. . . and tell me if you find it.
