  1. After using the Mad Catz Modern Warfare 2 XBOX 360 controller (camo color) is almost non-stop since the Modern Warfare 2 released, I can say that I am happy with it overall. If you’re a big fan of Modern Warfare 2, are and can see yourself logging a ton of hours into the game, I recommend the purchase. It comes with a bonus to combat, “that basically a plastic housing for the controller – not very useful. It is possible to buy this controller at Walmart, without fighting the case for $ 5 cheaper (DO IT). If you already have plenty of 360 + or not a big fan of multiplayer, you should probably bet $ 50 on another game like the upcoming Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassins Creed second Although I have a lot of disadvantages below, I think the pros are powerfully significant, and enough to the controller 4 stars.

PROS + This is the coolest looking controller I have ever seen. I have a wonderful digital camo color on the front with a Modern Warfare 2 logo top and gray on the back. I dont care for the “snow” color, but I love the color Camo. And another nice touch – when the controller is turned on, the analog sticks have a nice green backlight to them.

+ It has “soft feel” plastic all around, so it feels your hands high. The sides of the controller, with the palms if you keep a grip rubber material. It helps to prevent from the controller if your hands slip sweating. Modern Warfare 2 is so intense, you will sweat.

The general feeling +, construction quality, materials and presentation are great.

+ It are 2 “Combat” buttons on the back of the controller. can combat the left button can be programmed to activate the left stick button, B or A. The right control button to activate RSB, X, Y. or I’ve set the left button to fight to change my attitude, and set the right key for the control to reload. This is an excellent idea, and it is nice to see some third-party companies come up with some ideas for custom controller consoles. I hope a lot more custom controllers are con in the coming years are available.

-CONS The biggest: This controller is WIRED! Why on earth would be a controller for this generation of consoles would be someone making a wired controller? I was shocked when I first read about the controller. I’m guessing Microsoft had some legal / proprietary problem with it, as has the Modern Warfare 2 Controller for PS3 wireless. If the price were lower, I could be ok with this than I care to do with charging a battery, and the cord is very high quality and nylon mesh.

The controller-$ 50 for a large retailer like Best Buy or Game Stop costs. As I mentioned, if the controller is wireless, I would be able to justify the costs. A cable remote control for $ 40 is tolerable.

This controller is of Mad Catz, some lousy third party peripherals, has made before. Who knows if starts the analog sticks wear out and less precise, or the trigger is not working properly, or some other problem will occur months from now. The OEM-360 controller from Microsoft is so well built and durable. They last for years. Only time will tell how long this Mad Catz product is modified, although it seems to be at very high quality.

The control itself feels a bit cramped and awkward to use with exteneded . Perhaps my hands are the standard 360 and PS3 controller used that any other construction only is foreign to me. I dont mind the ergonomics of the controller, and after almost a week I am used to feel the controller. But, I can see how some people would say that the controller doesn’t feel in their hands.

The triggers are pistol-grip style, that is, they are a little shorter and broader than the standard 360 controller. I didn’t like it at first because I thought my fingers would slip off the trigger. So far, I havent had problems. If you move your fingers fast enough between the triggers and bumpers, you could miss your fingers the shutter occasionally.

I do not really like the design of the left and right bumper. They are much larger, and quite flat, compared to the standard 360 controller. Click to take a bit more force “them. When I try to throw too fast a flashbang around the corner, where an enemy hiding, or trying to quickly throw a Semtex (sticky) grenade at a guy with a shield, I feel I may have have to press more aware and careful with my button with my index finger.

The fight buttons too small and hidden to far in the ergonomic wrinkles on the back of the controller. I find myself currently with the left button to fight very often, because of this. I use to fight the right button to load each time. I dont my thumb leaving the analog sticks find so often because that, the combat buttons are still useful, but improved dramatically.

    Thanks for reading!

  2. Hmm. I must say I really wanted to like this controller. I really, really. The mapping or the sprint and reload functions for extra buttons on the back is a great idea. Unfortunately, however, is MadCatz implementation of this idea for a cheap, thin cash-in, you ultimately unhappy with

Let me with the good points (beginning and there are only a couple), to take them out of the path. The “combat keys” on the back are just a fantastic idea. They let some of its more limited mapping options for a couple of new buttons to be manipulated by your fingertips middle. I do not have much of an issue of the limitations to the picture because, well, no one has done it and almost everyone that I think of Sprint wouly map on the left button (LB) and either reload (X) or Switch weapons (Y) to the other. The possibility of all these things without mucking what you were with the sticks have been nice to do it, but we will learn why it is not enough.

Second, the material which it exists, is phenomenal. It is super comfortable and the raised grips on the sides give the controller a nice feel and are not slippery, as the MS controller tend to receive.

Third, they see really cool. The backlight and camouflage pattern is really smooth.

    Now, the bad

are primarily the cruel ergonimics! It is so diffucult to “combat buttons” that no benefit is derived out of existence completely manipulated by their difficulties in the use predominates. The L and R shoulder buttons are hard to learn. A huge effort, since the MS controller, it has essentially buried under the finger and require only a minor role or your knuckles to work. The wrist angle is all wrong. If you use this controller, you feel like it wants to move your wrists in a way they should not. It is very inconvenient if you are to press the start buttons.

Second, the whole thing feels cheap. The D-Pad is muddy and has no tactile feedback at all. The triggers are not close enough to travel or spring tension. The L-stick-button gives no response at all when pressing the stick forward (that’s the only time you would use it in this particular game).

Finally, and is the most unforgivable Corded it! This is simply inexcusible. This may have MS, they can not tell them some of the proprietary wireless technology or something, but it is certainly lame.

Conclusion: If you’re a serious player, you can MW2 at this controller will look like, and want to be. The features look really good on paper. Do not forget, however, that the shares are excellent controller for the 360th This is a great idea that falls completely flat in the execution. Do not buy this thing. You will be disappointed (and your wrist is injured).

  3. You can reload and Crouch, without the joysticks, they were on something very valuable here. Unfortunately, there is the controller, the ergonomic curvature of the storage controller, it is usually uncomfortable for me and it cramps my hands. The triggers are nice, but they have very loose feathers, so it takes some time to adapt. The buttons are big and cheap L1/R1 feeling. The joysticks have to click any distinctive character to it, I’m not impressed with that either. Maybe worth it if you have another controller, but I would not replace the stock one.

  4. Who has given this controller has a positive balance tiny hands, it has never been used, or is an employee MadCatz: P

Also, I absolutely loved the idea of this controller and then I got it use as soon as they arrived: /

    problems:

1 Immediate thing you notice is that the black plastic cover is very smooth on the thumb sticks. . . the stock Xbox 360 controllers have a slightly ruggedized texture, concave surface and markings to help you keep your thumb instead of: from all these, this controller has one and it is only the center of the floor, the concave’s. I took a knife to the surface to scuff it up, and is now in the position it holds quite well. This brings me to Problem 2:

2 The headset has voice, which sounds like a phase-shift is an echo to the sound and make each headset sound far less crisp than even the basic Microsoft Connect Headset (headphones, the sounds are horrible in one way). Wish I had already tried to change the thumbstick in a useful function, since I discovered it would be returned on the spot, if not different. Test your new order in a real game, not so alone in a private lobby you test things that do not realize you could not function properly, what brings me to # 3

3 The bumper buttons are huge and the sensor pad for they are in the vicinity of the top-so the bottom of the keys that I touch the most intermittent at best. Cook a grenade? I hope not: P see reallllly do not like a shell I’m trying to carefully time suddenly fly out of hand, because the underside of the button was not applying enough pressure.

4 Trigger Frame and down buttons. If you have small children’s hands, you’ll have a hard time finding a comfortable position to put your fingers so that they sit on the control of the keys on the ground have. I do not know who will not wrap their middle finger, ring finger and little finger finger around the cross handles a 360 controller, so why not put those keys are there? The kind of the frame where the trigger is pulled in it makes it impossible to keep the controller down and use the combat buttons. I’m trying in the middle figure out a way to extend a beam on a stock balance on the button to this to the underside of the cross handles, but I why should I make available to the Controller Redesign? This is Mad Catz’s job and they do not mind. Great idea, bad implementation incredible. Great to have controllers that you use to hate someone, unless that someone is you do not buy.

  5. So I bought this with the hope in the soul a little faster knife at MW2 and a somewhat more comfortable control. Not to mention I am a bit old school and how the electrical controllers. Instead, I get thrown a less comfortable, cheesy, sticky button stool. The trigger stick, the controller is designed for someone with a 5-year-old hands, and the buttom programmable keys are in a terrible place! I had to move my hand to reach it, negates the idea in the first place. The only good thing about the whole process is the return policy so I get my $ 50. Way to another bone MadCatz!
