Concept: 7 / 10
Halo 3: ODST is a new Special Forces soldiers for the Recon Halo Universe. The Orbital Drop Shock Trooper is a darker, lighter armored version of a Spartan with silent weapons. That’s pretty much it.
Story: 9 / 10
The story is very well written, well told and well acted by Firefly and BSG veterans. It’s really entertaining and one of the best parts of the game. However, it is told through flashbacks, and is quite difficult to understand for the first time through. They sometimes may be confused, but in the end it all makes sense.
Gameplay: 8 / 10
It is Halo 3, with a few new weapons and a slight improvement the health system. Your character sounds like ‘pain’ if your health is low, remember to stay behind cover. There is also a night vision visor device that you can turn on and off. Unfortunately, the game seems too dark, if you’re not on your night vision, and when using it in areas that are relatively well lit, if you almost blinded. At the end of the night vision seems extraneous. The game would have been better if the dark areas were just a bit brighter, but still shrouded in shadow.
Level Designs: 6 / 10
It is an open city, where to explore and may Pact troops went into battle to the end. This is new to the Halo universe and it works quite well. Most of the game takes place in New Mobasa, a futuristic city, where African invasion by the government. The look and feel of the city is quite impressive, but the overall levels feel redundant. Fight in the corridors, to defend a territory… You know you have problems if the campaign is only 5 hours long, and the missions feel repetitive.
Sound: 9 / 10
The music is foreboding and adds to the gloomy atmosphere, while the effects bring the battles to life.
Replay Value: 7 / 10
You can start the campaign after lunch and finish it before dinner.
It’s a gun battle mode, which, like Gears of War War 2 Horde mode, but ODST has an additional challenge in which each wave of enemies has a special behavior such as “Dodge’s grenades.” This mode is for friends and loads only. I understand that Bungie tried to Leroy Jenkins to ruin the fun out of the world to prevent, but it really sucks not be able to play a pickup game.
There are 3 new multiplayer maps for Halo 3 also.
< br /> Maturity – The game is rated M because of the Halo series is rated M, even though the action is pretty tame.
Total: 7 / 10
Buy now if you are a Halo collector have to use a few friends who still play Halo 3 and the maps and Fire Fight mode has.
Rent this game if you just want to campaign would recommend to play. It is only 5-6 hours.
I, waiting for the price that ODST before buying, because if you spend $ 60 fall, you will be ripped off feel.
$ 35 for this game feels about right.
Note: Amazon and a number of other stores sold ODST now for under $ 40!

I have read a few posts here and I think that although some points are valid, people ODST be treated as something that was never meant to be.
So, what is ODST? It is an expansion. Expensive? Yes, but you have to realize that in reality there are multiple extensions in one, a “collector’s built Pack” for Halo 3 fans. (After all, it’s called Halo 3: ODST, not just Halo: ODST)
So, before I turn the game, let’s examine what is really ODST.
1 Campaign (Short, yes … Fun? Very.)
2 Fight Fire (One might say, a different campaign. After all, one game can be with good people for hours, and this is a game.)
3 All tickets (A $ 20 + value when you think about it are two map packs worth 1600 Microsoft Points, not to mention the three new ones.)
4 Halo: Reach Beta lockdown (Remember, with it’s Halo 3 Beta? Yeah …)< br /> Okay, first things first. The campaign:
This is fun. It is far more than any tactical game of Halo before it, and enables many new opportunities. Once in the heroic version, you can find plan to sneak attacks, factoring in how many grenades you have. Ammunition is so sparse that you are forced to constantly readjust and get new weapons, instead of line with the same two weapons (There was much in the first three halo’s). The characters are new, that’s interesting again. The Visor?. . . Man, probably my favorite addition. It is so to get in a position to cool to switch views, tactical, or go all out. Wonderful. Not to mention the addition of engineers, who add nothing else but the depth of game play and to emphasize to do strategy.
Fire Fight:
Be We honestly. Mention Gears 2? You hear about Horde. Mention Call of Duty WaW? Nazi zombies. Halo now has its own, and it is beautiful. Fuller cards, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. The new call-sign functions, allowing faster identification and the new drop-off system (the enemies come to Phantoms instead allow only spawn), again for the strategy. Ammo shortages are common here, so know your weapons. The skulls always add a little flair and make each round a new experience. My only complaint? If I play with my Australian friends, the game is pretty laggy.
All cards:
I wish I knew this going in. Woulda saved me twenty U.S. dollars . They know about new cards, right? The new three; awesome. Thanks for a remake of the mid-engine, a card that will make for interesting swat called, and a dock that dinghy and floating boxes features. Awesome, right
/> Reach Halo: Beta trailer:
-This is halo 4th This is the one that’s cut down the people go. (For those who know the story, well done. Reach is actually … Uh, Halo -1? It is a prequel). This is the unsung hero of the ODST, I can not wait already. Remember, people buy Crackdown ($ 60) for Halo 3 alone? This is exactly the same, but you also get the features noted above. No child’s play, is not it?
So, overall? If I knew someone who had to spend only 60 to, I would in the direction of Oblivion or Fallout or similar point. But for someone to get a huge expansion knows and loves Halo? That is all, but a must. Know exactly what you get involved, it is not a standalone, but it’s still pretty awesome.

A Side Story takes place in the Halo universe, “ODST” puts you in the role of the license holder Orbital Drop Ship Trooper – a regular marine in comparison to the Master Chief, the series’ regular characters. With the basic gameplay and graphics of Halo 3 ODST is neat and different in some ways disappointing and boring in others.
ODST drop follows a troop of soldiers – mainly through the eyes of the Rookie, a quiet hero. Rookie proceeds through the abandoned, dead city of New Mombasa in search of records from his teammates, whom he was separated from. The discovery of these records you can play another segment as a soldier – Buck, the leader, Mickey, the tech specialist, Dutch, the tough guy, or Romeo, the sniper.
Rookie segments are truly free and open form – to explore the city, walk through the homes and side streets and the occasional run in random patrols of the Covenant soldiers. The city of Al, the supervisor will sometimes try to get your attention by hijacking various city systems – signs will change to point you in the right direction to start ringing phones, will start selling machines spewing Tickets, pedestrian crossings and traffic lights will change, and so on. These directions will lead you audio diaries – Notes on a side story – or weapons / ammunition caches. All in all, it makes for a really great feeling – almost to the level of Silent Hill – and it is some of the best music in the series secured.
The action stages are pretty good, too, but much more traditional. There is a certain openness in the plains, but for the most part they are comparable to normal Halo 3 ODST The most important promise – the fact that you play as a regular soldier – the kind of falls flat. You can basically do anything that the Master Chief can do, including but not limited to mirrors on cars and reinforced by punching. does your health a little different, but still substantially equivalent “if you are taken to go duck behind cover until you recover.” Share with a maturity of up to Brutes and punching them in the face until they die. All in all, you basically show the same level of “super-soldier” that the actual delivery, in contrast to soldiers on leave with your mind and your weapons to overcome your weakness.
In addition to the campaign mode, ODST also offers a four-person co-op mode called “Fire Fight”. In this mode, the human players try to keep as long as they can against the waves of Covenant troops. How Gears of War 2 Horde mode, this can be an explosion with the right people. To add a little effort into the mix, each wave of the federal government has a special effect attached to them – the ability to dodge grenades, are resistant to plasma, and so on. This will ensure that the endless waves of the Pact for as long as you continue to play be a great challenge.
The graphics are similar to Halo 3, but the urban environment is much more than the well-developed in Halo 3. A lot of care went into designing the city and the various characters and objects scattered around him, and the end result feels pretty natural. The sound is really good, too. The most obvious change, sound wise, is that a person is ODST pant and moan realistically, instead of them only one grunt as the Master Chief is. This makes it much more immersive, and is almost worth that – for game reasons – you able to heal really easy and to die is not really a big deal.
On the whole, I understand, why not take a realistic approach ODST, but that does not mean it is not disappointing . What a game, ODST well, but with some eye-rolling defects that could have turned into something more meaningful than “other Halo game.”

The campaign is entertaining, but above all his stuff typical halo. The visor mode is cool and I like the hub world, can play through the missions of your comrades and feel allows a more open world. I also like pictures of what happened to Mombasa to explore all over the city you are scattered.
The Fire Fight mode is great, but usually only great when Your able to have friends to always with us, and to play not a game make. If you do not have a lot of friends to play with than your stuck with the game itself, this mode is not built for. Its great and very similar to the Horde mode in Gears 2, but I find myself not only find people struggle to play with, but to play man, if I want to play it.
Other than that, its great It has all the map packs and 3 new bargain. It is an explosion of online and play hard to imagine more and more, but the game is too short for me, as to recommend a purchase. But everyone should at least give it a rent, but if you have many friends that recommend it easier than his, than to buy, because Fight Fire is the best part of the game and you’ll probably taken more time than others do not have the friends around him to enjoy.

The question on everyone’s mind was. . . . is Halo 3: ODST worth the $ 60 price? for people that are already in possession of the original Halo 3, which is too expensive for you if you own one of the Halo 3 multiplayer map packs. If you own the original Halo 3 map packs, and all I suggest you try to find someone to sell on eBay or Craigslist the odst or try buyin used somewhere.
Lets Thurs math on the content of the Halo 3: ODST:
full Halo 3 multiplayer experience on a separate disk $ 15 (half the price of Halo 3 full version)
all the Halo 3 multiplayer map packs and 3 new maps, based on unpublished price almost $ 40
ODST campaign and the experience firefight $ 30
-Free Sgt Johnson Preorders
Download-Free Halo: Reach beta invitation
that the total number set at $ 85 and $ 60 i paid, so I got my monies worth!
I felt the campaign was odst compared to his brother Halo 3 short. . . depending on the degree of difficulty, it can be anywhere between 5-10 hours of gameplay. . . I beat the campaign on Normal in 5 hours solo play and about 11 hours solo on legendary.
You start as a rookie in a odst unit. . . during the drop, contact your troop separated and that’s where you tryin history in order to find maneuvers through New Mombasa as a guide in which the rest of the crew is to begin. how to unravel another clue to another one of your squad mates you will receive a level as one of the other Sqaud play buddies – the level is all the events in the squad mate between the droplets and to the point where you bear the key found. the notes are also help beacons, the download data to your visr and Intel. with out to destroy the whole campaign, you can find pretty much you are fighting the federal government itself, to find audio logs and notes, and tryin and again with your team, while at the same time diggin more br in the story of Halo 3 < />
this game plays a lot more tactical and different then the original, since Halo 3 Master Chief yoru no more. You need to find Med Packs in the game and introduced healthy again theres a few new weapons and some old weapons which are not available in the game i. e. br assault rifle w / scope.
The gun battle mode is similar to Horde Gears of War. They fight over a number of enemies reinforcements round. where you and your team share a collective of life. during certain phases of certain skull enabled / disabled / combined to the game interesting and challenging. between rounds, there are bonus rounds where you do not lose lives, but can you killin some points through lush as many as possible waistband in a 60-second period. . From now on there is no matchmaking for fire fighting, but the reason was omitted because it was about the release date of six months so that they will publish the game and an update later release slide.
< br /> but if you need a gun battle or campaign partner just hit me up on Xbox Live gamertag is my Mr. Hyphy
