The Tales series has never been too big in America, but many of the games in the series are a blessing. Tales of Vesperia is a great outing that many fans can enjoy the show. Is this the first time you ever have a game played Tales, then Tales of Vesperia is a good game to start with.
Tales of Vesperia takes place in a world where blastia , magical properties are used to protect the inhabitants from monsters. There are also knights who help and protect the citizens of the world. You play as Yuri, a man, the knight has mainly because he does not want to see how the government treats people. Of course there is something else a foot. Something more, that this mighty empire, and hidden as Yuri and companies you’ll find out what it is.
Tales of Vesperia may not have an original story, but it is very well told. Much of the dialogue is very well written and sprinkled with its own fluffy humor. What really helps standout history as something much more than it is, however, the cast of characters. They are very well developed and how to play your way to really connected with him. Everyone has their own personality to help them along and they have their own charm about them. So that you can also observe character development sketches, which are basically talks between the party and they are completely voluntary. They really add character by giving you an insight into what they think. If there is something about Tales of Vesperia history that is a little disturbing, it might be that there is a lot of history in some areas. You benefit from one place to another only run on an earlier city to recognize only backtrack, it was all done for the presentation of history, and that you do not really get involved in a lot of battles. But while there are a lot of exposure, there is still much to be done to fight.
The Tales games largely known for their combat systems. Once a battle begins, you control one of four characters. You can all run around freely and land blows like a hack and slash game. You can also called special techniques, the cost Artes you tech points. It’s all very easy to order and feels very much like the Star Ocean games. It is like a button mashing affair sometimes feel, and certainly the initial stages of the game can be, but as you further into the game, it is less about the hack and slash and more about the strategy. Bosses can be particularly challenging, especially if you want to receive all the benefits. Some bosses you need to do certain things to get the power for them.
While you control a character of the game AI makes it a point to check the other three. Surprisingly, the AI seems to give a very good job with your characters alive and products on allies who need them, and healing. You can also use certain strategies and adapt it to help. Even better than that, the game has multiplayer. Up to four players can play, although only the first player gets to control what happens in this area. For all it’s worth, but the combat system is great.
Finally, there are skills. Characters can equip weapons that they learn certain skills. If the weapon as long as they are the ability to learn and can use it whenever they want, provided they have the ability to prepare the necessary points. There is nothing difficult about learning Tales of Vesperia battle system. It’s all pick up on relatively simple and easy. So even if you’ve never played a Tales game, the combat system is easy enough to learn it as you no trouble.
Graphics, Tales of Vesperia is beautiful and runs very smoothly . Most of the dungeons you go to look beautiful too. The enemies and bosses are very detailed and the load times are incredibly fast. The character designs are perhaps the best part as every character stands out as their own. Music wise, the game has a lot of memorable tunes that stand out. There are some forgettable tunes but much of it really fills the situation. Much of the dialogue is spoken in the game and the voice acting is very good.
If you’re a fan of the Tales series, this is a great game that add to the collection. If you have never played a game before Tales and you’re curious about the series, this is a good game to start with. With its easy learning curve and character driven story, most RPGers find Tales of Vesperia to be a real treat.

It’s really a shame that reviewers have started the game, Japanese RPGs review from the perspective of the American mainstream gamers recently. Let’s face it, most Americans do not like anime, and they do not like RPGs, so trying to tell them whether it be a game like this, how senseless.
However, no Japanese RPG fan who could actually play this game, it’s certainly a 9 or 10 It is the best Tales game ever, even better than the early stories and SNES games from PS1 and better than Tales of Symphonia. It is miles beyond Tales of the Abyss for the PS2, which despite decent gameplay had a sign that the worst of mutations of the anime that really got angry and made parts of the game were a chore. Tales of Vesperia on the other hand focuses on the simple humanity of his characters, and always keeps their individual thoughts and desires in view. Not only is it true, in order to keep their characters after their adventures with humor and empathy, but also conceptually the best voices every Tales game has had for so many reasons.
The game is full of characters who, despite the obvious off anime stereotypes (such as the individualistic hero in dark clothing, dressed Yuri based) will really jump off the screen. Even the 99% pink princess is charming because it is realistic naive, but also well educated, and it does not hurt that they are not expressed by a high voiced annoying little twit. The best of them are characters that you remember after you play the game, as are the characters of a good fantasy novel.
The World of Vesperia is actually rather innovative as well I thought, although I have not seen this in one of the press reports that spend all a good deal of time, as mentioned, stating the bloody obvious: (WARNING: This is a Japanese RPG, which is from Japan and is an RPG, mean and so on).
What makes the game world feel unique is ordered that instead of a normally peaceful city, the * crazy for a few Machiavellian villain or organization, Tales of Vesperia is threatened, begins in a world where people are in a minority, struggling for survival. Early in the game you are shown that the only reason people are able to survive in the harsh environment because of the magical force fields called by artefacts Blastia barriers that protect the cities of the world, barriers that people rarely leave (and be someone smell a recipe for an adventure?)
I’m going to stop because I do not want to spoil all the game. Let me say in conclusion, for anyone still undecided about the game: I’ve never been a Tales game that I have somewhere in the vicinity of my favorite JRPGs would rank won. JRPGs are my favorite Final Fantasy 4, 6 and 7, Suikoden 2 and 5, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, the original Final Fantasy Tactics, Lunar and Grandia 3 battle system (even though the game sucked, even after 5 hours). I have a lot of JRPGs (too many …) and played the above the only ones I will have ever played. Tales of Vesperia is actually worth playing. Every aspect of it is music from the fast action to tackle the beautiful artwork to the great characters and surprisingly great voice acting (no whiny main characters here).
What’s on the assessments this game has received, sad, is that you say most of the reviewers, really enjoyed the game, and had almost nothing negative to say – she only felt that it overcharged numerical scoring they would get in trouble with the mainstream audience, and they may be right (I’m sure they know better than me). What is really shameful is that a lower Metacritic as a result of all this, a game that is clearly the stand out in a long series (the Tales games around the replaced for years) than most of the previous games in the series! For example, Tales of Symphonia: 85 Tales of the Abyss: 80 Tales of Vesperia: 79 Sure, it is not much difference, but this is a game that should be scoring five points ahead of Symphonia, not six points below! One last thing I did not see mentioned in any of the reviews – and I read compulsively to these things – the game has four player co-op! So, if you like RPGs with a girlfriend, wife, siblings, or just a few good friends, consider this review a score 11th Going from exploration to cut scenes of fighting in this game is like saving a candy store, a game to glorious paintball. Pros:
about everything. See above. For me the story of the most important part of a roleplaying game and the characters and how they interact with their world and the main part of a good story. But the combat and graphics are incredibly well polished and probably better than any other RPG on the system.
Cons:
Every fourth cutscene or not so expressed, but because all this bickering between the parties is brought expression, the game still has more than one vote to act Final Fantasy game, and probably better voice acting (and I love the Final Fantasy games).
I’ve heard, can be the boss fights too easily when the magician character Rita control for most of the game.
Strangely, the worst voice actors from the main characters in the game seems on the dog, Repede, his whose bark is missing. . . order. . . Conviction. The dog is to quit smoking (and stroll around with knives in the mouth).

Tales of Vesperia exceeded all my expectations. Until now, Tales of Symphonia my fave installment in the series has been, but this is far beyond that at the end of a bigger game in my opinion is after.
The biggest upgrade in this game is that eventually all the sketches are voice acted. Earlier, in the U.S. version of these games, it was only text that you had to read that you sometimes half, because they would miss wasn text; ‘t on the screen long enough.
< , br /> The pictures in HD are truly amazing, and the voice acting is the best so far. As always in this series had to play many different types, you can click a button masher, or spend time trying to time things be exactly right and to learn new skills and achieve bonus points.

I was not sure if I liked Tales of Vesperia love or just because most game sites, he scored about 8 / 10 But having a couple of hours of gameplay on youtube and enjoy it, I knew that play, it would be even better. I think Tales of Vesperia deserves in the upper 8 to 9-range (10 points lower). It is now one of my favorite games.
Pros:
Most of the characters are well expressed and have interesting background stories. The main character, Yuri, is not your stereotypical hero. In fact, it has a bit of a dark side to him that makes his character more interesting. Some characters on the top of the first, but they all grew on me after a few hours, and I do not dislike any of them. One of the girls can be a little annoying (Estelle), she does play the naive, but sweet heroine. Even the little boy, Karol, who I thought would do me (like most children nerves in JRPGs), is actually quite well placed and I was expressing to him how I liked to play.
Dialog If you love, you will get tons here. Most, if it is well written and very funny at times. If you only action, stay away from this game (although I’m not sure why you are looking for an RPG in the first place).
The story is mostly good if people who played tons of RPGs have, it might find a bit stereotypical. Nevertheless, there are enough surprises to keep you playing. People who may have not played many RPGs love the story.
The battle system is fun. No random battles, and you learn to control the characters.
Friends can join in the fighting in and take control of a character (only local co-op, not online). Friends can drop in and drop out easily explore.
Huge world. This allows you to take at least 50 hours to complete.
Beautiful environments and characters. The graphics are not among the Xbox 360 to a new level, but they look great overall. I particularly like the anime style.
-Grinding is not really necessary to beat the bosses, as long as most opponents you fight in dungeons.
Tons of optional side missions . Many items and monsters to find / fight.
Cons
near the end of the game, the story slows down a bit. The history in general could be as the intersection of hard-core RPG player.
Dungeons are fairly linear and the puzzles are very simple. This is not Zelda. Fortunately, dungeons are not huge, there is only one set of them. So between dungeons in general, you get a story progression. I have Baten Kaitos (Gamecube), the similar linear dungeons played, but for some reason I liked Vesperia is better. Could be, because I about the characters much more, make the linear dungeons do not bother me so much.
Some people might find the characters / dialog cheesy. I personally do not, but I can easily see how others might feel differently.

Total 9 / 10 One of my favorite games, and highly recommended. If you have never played an RPG before, you probably enjoy this game a lot. If you are unsure, complete watch on YouTube, get an idea of the gameplay / story.

As someone who reads reviews before buying anything, I decided I would return the favor of Amazon. com by writing a review about a game that I think is really exceptional.
Let me start by saying that if you are looking for an old-school role-playing game have, this game is for you. This game is a boss fights, battles monsters, spells, dungeon crawls, small towns with an inn, a tavern, a store that equipment and cities, people sold with plenty of random things to say, that add nothing to the story what-so-ever. Above all, this game offers an interesting history and a lot of dialogue for your reading pleasure. In my opinion this is the best RPG I’ve played since Lunar series (PS1 and Sega CD) and Final Fantasy 7th I think that in these days, the only company with the confidence of the population is Squaresoft RPGs Final Fantasy series and while I also play such games for a good story, a lot of time, I am stuck with the adjustment, which in Rules must be done to really enjoy the game. If you do so, rejoice, for in this game there are some adjustments that can be made, it is not necessary to fully enjoy the game. Just continuously equip the armor and weapons in the next town and on the way, just as it was before.
If you are looking for an original story, you’ll notice that not really here . This is the classic story from the annoying angsty youth with a chip on his shoulder and no known work or school to do, starting a remedial task that takes him on a journey against a seemingly invincible enemy. And what trip would be without an inkling of interest and love of comrades to help complete band, the main character to discover his personal identity? Even if this story was to death done to me was this story one breath of fresh air in comparison to the complex stories to wave the many games that you concentrate more on the background history and the world of politics to leave than to the main characters experiment itself.
Now let’s talk sound, the voice actors in size. I would say a good part of the text in this game is spoken and the voice actors do a good job, adding personality to a 2D character. I also appreciate that it does not sound like one person did, what the voice acting. The music is perfect as well and if you will not recognize one of the songs, sounds familiar to everyone and not sound repetitive, even if it starts from the beginning. Another added touch that you do not notice when you focus on them, the sound of people walking. If you go over a bridge, it rattles and when your character steps on the grass on the other hand, it sounds different, instead of constantly sound like you are on some type of metallic surfaces, no matter where you are on foot.
OK, now we come to the graphics. This game has beautiful backgrounds, colorful and memorable monsters, unique characters and beautiful areas (towns, dungeons, caves, etc.). The game uses the cel-shading, if you are not familiar, makes all the characters look like they are in a taxable Cartoon. The nice thing is the cut scene characters look exactly like the characters that you play with, so you like in Final Fantasy games as often as they all know the ridiculous CG Shots switch? None of that here. While some might see that a setback, I think it really helps keep the story in perspective and makes you feel in control of the whole story and not that much of the IT.
< , br /> The combat system is not at all to turn and reminded me a lot of old Playstation games like Star Ocean and Grandia, where your characters are free to roam around the battlefield, and you have it on the enemy and press the move ” attack “button to attack. It is magical, but the battle system is best understood through the game for themselves. Or if you prefer, you can play with a friend. No longer your friends are forced to watch as you walk through history itself. In this game, 2-4 players can play together (provided you have enough controllers). I think it can only participate in battles with you, but I’m not sure how I still play the game with a friend.
All in all, this game provides to be a classic. Not only for the 360, but for video games as a whole. In this player in the eyes, it is an instant classic. A departure from all the complex RPGs ridiculous to a simple time when games were more about the story and characters and go on a trip.
