I love my XBOX 360 with its Microsoft VGA cable.
Just wanted to seek this Clear up for people with the older 360, to improve their graphics card. (This cable dose exactly what to do, so I give it 5 stars).
I’m a non-HDMI Xbox 360 Core System MFG. 7 / 2007, does not show the image well, but contains all of this package is a standard HDMI cable and an adapter that can lead to the large A / V port on the back of the 360 and goes on to audio only.
This is NOT adjust your standard 360 A / V port for HDMI. does
This product only when the Xbox 360 already have an HDMI port in the back, and you gain only connections for audio, so you can attach your 360 to your HDMI and surround-sound receiver. where, with only HDMI cable is the only sound from the speakers of the TV.

I’m sure those people have already explained, but the purpose of the adapter is for you to run your audio through the RCA connectors or optical audio instead of HDMI. The reason that is important, because some people can not have receivers (like me) that accept HDMI audio signals, but not accept, RCA and / or optical inputs. My TV accepts, however, HDMI, and since I use the HDMI video, but my receiver for audio, is the only way to split the audio feed from the HDMI connector to want to get this cable. This is because Microsoft decided that the HDMI port on the back of the Xbox (I have the arcade version space) as close to the other video / audio outputs, that the dongle for component video / audit Blocks actually the HDMI port. This prohibits you from running an HDMI cable for video using the included dongle for optical audio (like me). I hope that makes sense.
The dongle you buy just expands your audio outputs, so you do not block your HDMI port. Simple and stupid, because if they just re-designed their cables in the first place they would not need to sell this accessory.
Finally, why is this a ripoff? Because they pack in an HDMI cable with it. Most of us already have HDMI cables, or do we want an HDMI cable longer than the 6 m of cable in this package, we are now forced to pay an inflated price because they give us an extra HDMI cable.
Do yourself a favor and get the audio dongle separately from this package, you can do on eBay for about $ 3. 00th Yes, $ 3. 00th Then do yourself a favor and buy another one 10 ft. HDMI cable for about $ 10. Since HDMI is digital, you will not need to invest in an expensive cable. All HDMI cables are the same. Gold-plating means nothing and simply inflated prices and confused consumers.
In any case, I had to buy this cable because I live in Japan and I really wanted to the HDMI to use Access, but I got no access to eBay, to the $ 3 cable. So I blew $ 50, only because I can not physically get to the HDMI port and audio ports on my Xbox at the same time. Ridiculous.

What you see is what you get. Take a look at the package. You see two ends of an HDMI cable. This is a plain-vanilla-HDMI cable, which could get you anywhere. Over on the right side is the audio dongle, and you can see just about the whole thing just for the part that connects the Xbox 360th This all works well. This audio dongle is slimmer that the standard Microsoft A / V cable progressive, so what gives you the space to put the HDMI cable in.
Let not notice this unless you have a newer HDMI Xbox’s. This is not a conversion kit.
Do not get this if you how to run the HDMI cable from the Xbox 360 in the receiver plan, with another HDMI input on your receiver to your TV. If you save this setup, just a plain-HDMI cable, and money.
Do not let this if you how to run the HDMI cable from the Xbox 360 to your TV plan, and you have a digital audio out on TV that you run on your receiver, and satisfied itself that have the digital audio out is not to reduce, not Dolby Digital 5th 1 HDMI to 2-channel audio, which can happen with some of TV signal. Of course, you need a spare HDMI cable to the first test, but if you still DD 5th 1 from the Digital out on the TV, then no need to get this.
Otherwise, if you still need them for the separate optical audio connection between the Xbox 360 and receiver , this is quite acceptable, although much more expensive than a simple HDMI cable that can go online.

The HDMI AV kit includes an HDMI cable (which you can find online for about $ 5. 00, if you look around) and the XBox HDMI AV adapter. The reason they are selling this kit because the standard HD-AV (component) cable connector designed to be too large to function in conjunction with an HDMI cable, if you like HDMI video and optical or red / white RCA audio, you have to use this adapter to the audio connectors into the Xbox 360 will rear port.
. . . Or so they want you to think.
The truth is that this is just the same connector as the HD-AV cable (component cable), but it lacks the Video connection, and the case is somewhat smaller. No technological wizardry involved. It is just a small plastic box, and thus your HDMI cable is next to this fit in your Xbox 360 connector port.
The money to spend on it, if you do not very useful. By all means, I’m sure Microsoft needs the money!
Or you could use a Dremel to an Xbox 360 HD-AV (component) cable cut out some of the extra plastic and use them in conjunction with your HDMI cable.
I do not take responsibility for your clumsiness or if you mess up your Xbox 360, but the fact that a cut- can attest away HD-AV cable for transferring audio works fine, while your HDMI cable carries video.
have Thus the choice: $ 50 for this thing, or use your existing cable (the one that came with your Xbox 360) and a Dremel, and save some money.

Only works with Xbox that have HDMI output ports (made around July 07). This kit allows you to connect your Xbox to a HDMI input on your TV. It also comes with a special adapter that you can connect with a dongle to output the regular edition of the Xbox. This adapter allows you to output an optical connection to your sound system available separately (for those of you who do not want / can ‘t get their audio via HDMI />)
