Ok, short story about what happened to me. . . . Saturday, before MW2 was revealed, my Falcon Elite as E74 error message. My Hawk was “repaired” before due to RROD. Just as you can all understand, I was pretty pissed off. Anyway, since this bundle Amazon has said that the “latest” version (newest chip), I decided to risk the leap and get it. My Falcon is back next week and Microsoft, I plan to sell it, now that I have the console MW2.
Anyway, so far this bundle is the “latest version” and a must buy IMO, why? It comes with two controllers, a 250G HD and Modern Warfare 2nd Reviewers have arguments about the controllers feel either small or cheap. . take it from an elite actual owners. . . the controller or the console is not built is obviously different from previous versions of Elite, someone said something about this console with “too much plastic, so I think they were referring to the DVD tray, it is now all black, is the regular Elite Silver tray, which does not mean it is metal, it is still in plastic.
Anyway, you will get the following in this package: two black controller , an Ethernet cable, a basic video cable (not CompoNet), no HDMI cable, black headset, and the 250G HD, MW2 Regular Edition, and that’s pretty much it.
I want to point out that so far, I have been forced to my Falcon Elite ‘120G HD use, as Microsoft claims customer support that they from the “data transfer kits” are, I must warn you, now costs $ 12 and you can only buy them from MS. Quick Tip: Microsoft’s CS hours U.S. Eastern Time, so if you call in early, they have the transfer kit, if you are late, call in the vicinity of its closure (1.00 U.S. easterm time), they will be entitled to of kits, trust me, I called them at least 4 times.
Now, on looking over all look of the console, to be honest, it is good, but a good 400 $? not really. The only reason for anyone to buy this console is the HD storage room, plus the fact that if you do the “math”, the bundle is a pretty good deal, because a normal Elite costs $ 300, which, with only one controller and no game. Anyway, if you are an elite is thoroughly with 120G hard disk space; have this bundle a question of will to a larger HD Upgrade to spend with a broken / malfunctioning elite like mine or just with the cash.

For those who wonder about a “special edition were” xbox, take it from me this would be my second in a special edition console and my 3rd invest Xbox – by far the best yet in.
Two factors made me get this:
1 – It is a Jasper, what is it? Its smaller CPU chips on the motherboard of the console. This leads xbox to a cooler, and thus a longer life and less power consumption. The Red Ring of Death (RROD) issues should not be seen for a long time. This also runs smoother, takes less power and makes less noise.
2 – When I saw this deal and compared it with the elite, that is what I came to the conclusion: For $ 300, the Elite for $ 100 less than this version, but it lacks a controller and the game MW2. Because the game is currently $ 60 and a controller is $ 40, which makes the difference in price. What do you get a bigger hard drive for free (250GB vs 120GB).
If you do not want the game and have no need for a second controller to the Elite stick, but with all means to get this game and the Xbox, if you want a second controller-for-best-bang-your-Buck.

Both special editions with an HD cable for connection, while the new version does not MW2. Halo was another version of “almost met”, missing the game Halo3. The IR version was better, but had only one controller is no big deal.
In the end, after the game and two controllers for me was the way to go when the HD cable, need to have you buy it, but otherwise this is the console to get today (11/20 / 09) vs. the Xbox Elite.

Pre-ordered this bundle back in September, was initially concerned about the release date shipping. This is my first purchase from Amazon Release Date. Got it on release date by 10 clock. . . awesome. Now that we have that out of the way. This bundle is a great deal for Xbox first time user / buyer. Comes with 2 controllers, this is music for a large family. . . . no more children in the dispute over alternately until you get to the store to buy another controller. The 250 GB hard drive is great. I currently own is another 360 (one 2 mine, the other bought for my wife) both 20gb. With all the music, films and DLC, I had always things that I have paid delete, just to make room for new games. This led me to the 250GB hard drive to buy after the transfer of everything I still have tons of space to install all of my most played games. (For those of you to support this new 360th .. the games run smoother with less load times and it keeps the noise down on the system). If you’re a fan of the COD franchise, or even 360 are new this is great! The black 360 looks great with the custom theme MW2. I’ve always been about painting my other 360 black to make it look better in my entertainment center thought. . . Black 58 “TV, surround sound system black, black cable box, black-modem, and finally a black PS3. A White xbox is a bit of all of this equipment. I would recommend this purchase to begin with people just starting with the new gaming system, or even hardcore 360 players who are expanding particularly in view of the experience. I know this review is becoming more extensive, but in just trying to cover everything …. now at stake MW2. simply brilliant ! Looks good, sounds great, plays great. I have found in the COD franchise for a while, been religiously playing COD 4 MW for over 2 years and I can see myself playing this for 2 more as well. recommend this GAME! Bascially I decided to pick this for two reasons.
1 Yes my wife was my wife’s hogging for Netflix, movies and the occasional game console. She was addicted to Fable 2.
2 I have had the old Pro version for almost 3 years and I had to delete stuff off my hard drive to make room for a new game I’m just tired loaded.
3 This was a great deal.
Think this is a standard Elite console is $ 299. 99, a copy of MW2 is 59th 99 and an additional controller is 49 99 add them at the price and guess what it is higher than the cost of this. So look at it this way, you can always the bonus of a 250 GB hard drive for free.
To be quite honest, as cool as the console looks in person, it is not so awesome in person, because it not so much of “Gun Metal”, as I had hoped, but that’s okay, because I am more concerned about the hard ware.
It is much cooler than my old cooler and the DVD drive is running low. Is it as quiet as my PS3, no, but it’s close. A good buy lower power consumption and much longer still. Just think of MS if you had published this product in this format before 2 years, Sony would be toast, because all their assets were hardware based and that’s the best I’ve seen on the market by Microsoft for hardware. It is not enough to want to make a PS3 owner, but changing it is a better deal than the PS3 with 250 GB version that’s for those out there who can not decide.

I could list the advantages and disadvantages, but why? There are only pros to buy this setup. So on to the pros:
Modified Xbox 360 Elite color scheme that fits well with the other components of a home theater system.
Modern Warfare 2 game. < br /> 250 GB hard drive.
Two black wireless controller.
Great price for the goodies included. I only wish it came with an HDMI cable, I knew it was not I just wish it had.
As other reviewers have stated the case for MW2 has been difficult and broke I had to replace it with a generic. It seems strange that this problem has to come back.
